I haven't read many of the other reviews, so I'm not sure if this has been referenced, but it reminds me a lot of that chalky bubblegum you get in a coil... a quick google search reveals the name is Bubble Tape! That's exactly what it smells like. After it's dried down and set for a while, it smells vaguely like White Rabbit, which I'm guessing is the pepper note. Overall, it's a strangely nice blend, but probably not one I'd want a bottle of. I'm very glad to try it, though!

I actually moaned when I smelled this one. This is creamy coffee topped with the warmest, smoothest cinnamon you can imagine. I think I'm in love.
-
This reminds me quite a bit of Man With Phallus Head. The tonka note is strong... but the florals give it a feminine edge, accentuated nicely by the amber, which I think is responsible for the almost metallic after-smell. Very nice! Might even be bottle-worthy.

This smells like masculine apples. I'm not sure why saying that makes me want to laugh hysterically, but it does. It's definitely an apple scent. Apples rolled in testosterone and the natural musk of a man. Close to the skin, but I don't mind at all! It's clean and fresh and again, the scent of masculine apples. If you need me, I'll be somewhere else, laughing even more hysterically.

Wet, it has a fizzy, minty scent. There's an element of sweetness, probably the almond and the orange. Now that it's dry, it's so acrid and dusty that I can't stand to smell it. This one doesn't age very well, it seems. It smells like old, old herbs.

My reaction to this one was a little strange. As soon as I smelled it in the bottle, I felt like... crying? But in the best way possible! It's such a clean, herbal scent, and it reminds me of what freshly cut stems smell like. I'm instantly transported somewhere else when I smell it. Funnily enough, I'm reminded of fantasy novels, and the rolling green hills, stone castles and occasional dragon contained within. Enough rambling. This is a delightful scent. Maybe a bit close-to-the-skin, but still delightful, and I was lucky enough to be frimped a partial bottle of it.

Yay! This one makes me happy. It smells like flowers, a hint of booze, and lots of Dorian. I don't really detect any Snake Oil, but my skin doesn't tend to amp SO much anyway. Overall, it's a very nice smell, with a sweet story behind it.

This is a very, very warm bay rum. I can detect a slight floral note. Mostly, though, it smells like the smoke coming off of a fire... acrid, but not in an unpleasant way. As someone else said, if you like the scent of dark, deep incense, this is perfect for you.

In the imp, the scent is fruity and slightly astringent, like strawberries dipped in rubbing alcohol. Reminiscent of Bon Vivant. On the dry-down, it turns to more of a flowery scent, and the alcoholic edge disappears. It's very soft and pretty, good for special occasions where you might need something light and close to the skin.

This smells FANTASTIC. It's a very cool, green mint, with a hint of chocolate and swirls of vanilla. Yummy and foody, I can definitely see why people love this one!

This reminds me so much of caramel popcorn! It's yummy and foody and spicy. The more I sniff, the more I can detect the white chocolate note... but mostly, it's caramel, and I am very close to trying to eat my hand.

To me, this smells like a very dark, fruity vanilla. It is mouthwatering and bright in the bottle, but when it dries, it has a more acrid, musky scent.

My favorite chapter in American Gods was the one featuring the Ifrit's story. It was beautiful, painful and poignant, and I was excited to test this oil just the way I was excited to test Crowley, my first of the Gaiman-inspired line. It's very warm, red and musky. Maybe a bit too perfumey at first, but the dry-down creates something spicy and pleasing to the senses. The smell of it reminds me of a lover's soft touch, familiar, sensual and passionate all at once. While it didn't work for me (I can't wear 'red' scents, something I was aware of when I decided to buy the decant) I still love it and plan on keeping my bottle even as I debate on swapping or selling my imp. A beautiful take on a beautiful story.

I tried this on while I was still bleary and not quite awake, and immediately said, 'This smells like Giant Vulva!' Thank you, BPAL, for giving me the opportunity to talk about womanly bits without actually talking about womanly bits. The skin musk note is very prominent, but not as sharp as Giant Vulva's skin musk note. It's more floral than GV, as well. Good for special occasions or fancy dinner dates. Or sex in the flowers.

Snow White 2004 The impression I get from this is cold, clean floral, soft and feminine without being too perfume-y. It's a very 'blue' scent. Perfect for the wintertime!

I knew it wasn't going to work on me, but I wanted to try it anyway. It's a very warm scent, soft and masculine, musky and dry. I like it, but think it'd smell better on a guy.

My first impression of this scent is vetiver, vetiver, vetiver. Then a hint of vanilla, followed by a hint of black coconut, and more vetiver. It's a nice scent, but maybe a bit too masculine for me.

CCCLV It's faintly floral, but there's also something spicy there. It's like a mixture of sweetness, sandalwood and vanilla. The feminine version of Snake Oil. -
I'm instantly reminded of mens cologne and the scent of burning wood. It's acrid and warm, deliciously masculine.
-
Someone else described this as 'evil gingersnaps' and I agree. It's gingery and sexy and if I could, I'd bathe in it. I love smelling like an evil cookie. *g*

First and foremost, this is a very clean scent. It's fresh, airy, not at all heavy or cloying. I don't smell the honey or vanilla, but the tea and white pepper are strong in a pleasant way. On me, it doesn't have much of a throw, but it's still nice. I'd say it was unisex, leaning towards feminine.

In the imp: I'm no good at picking out florals, but this one is soft and sweet. On my skin: Like a watery gardenia. Overall, Lady of Shalott is cool, clear and reminds me of Torture Queen without the overwhelming chrome tint. Haha. Chrome tint. Don't worry, I'll provide my own rim shot.
-
In the imp: It smells... very much like alcohol. On my skin: This one makes me want to howl at the moon. Huh! It smells like pure sugar and dark nights. A little alcoholic, but mostly it smells of honey and sugar cane.
-
In the imp: Vetiver isn't one of the listed notes, but... that's all I can smell in the imp. On my skin: Chocolatey. Slightly sweet, but mostly strong and almost... floral? I'm thinking it must be the patchouli I'm associating with vetiver. There's a hint of cherry in the back of my throat now. Very interesting!

In the bottle: Tonka and coffee. On my skin: It reminds me strongly of Miskatonic University without the sweetness. It's a dry, masculine scent, warm and familiar.
