Yukaeshi

A favourite of mine- a warm, lovely, simple and crisp scent. Initial Impression: Clean, crisp, tea scent. Wet: White tea, with subtle hints of ginger. Rather sweet without being cloying. Dry: A mingling of white tea and ginger. Subtle, bittersweet and fresh. It's also what I categorise as a "white" scent". Not too spicy (Thankfully, I was actually expecting ginger overload, and I'm not to fond of that) or powdery. Lasts quite long on me too without being overpowering. It's sharper than Aizen-Myoo and Embalming Fluid (My other favourites) for sure, though. Would get a full-sized bottle once my financial situation allows (Getting a full-size of Embalming Fluid)

Got this as in a set of six imps, and to be honest, I got it because of the name since I'm somewhat a fan of foxes, and I'm Asian... so yeah Initial Impression: Floral! I was actually quite put off by the overwhelming floral scent (I'm not a fan of florals). It's a complete cornucopia of flowers. Wet: The scents finally settles down more so that it's not so strong now. There's the orchid and what I imagine would be the daffodils and the white musk... with a somewhat sweetness (Plum?) in the background and a light jasmine scent. Dry: The most prominent smell that I can detect now is the jasmine and plum, with very very light hints of the orchid. Lovely and sweet without being powdery or cloying. Thankfully the jasmine is not overpowering as some jasmine-based perfumes I've sniffed, but it's subtle. I love this scent once I got past the initial stage, but I don't see myself wearing it often as it's a bit too floral (And perhaps feminine) for my liking, so I probably won't be getting a full-sized one anytime soon. I think there's something about me that negates lemony smells I've tried on Aizen-Myoo yesterday (Which supposedly has citrusy hints, but barely on me), and Embalming Fluid (As part of my set of six imps) today. That said though, I really, really love Embalming Fluid as much as I love Aizen-Myoo. Initial Impression: Very light. Green tea and perhaps a hint of lemon. There's something "delicious" about the lightness. Wet: Mainly green tea, with subtle undertones of white musk appearing. I also detected some lemon, but not for long. Dry: The white musk is more prominent now. I actually tend to stay away fro musky-based perfumes since most of those I've tried were too overpowering, powdery and strong and my nose dislikes it, but this one is surprisingly light, subtle and gentle. Nothing negative about it at all. It mingles well with the green tea and the green tea still lingers, which I adore. Not sure how the aloe is supposed to smell like though @.@ In comparison with Aizen-Myoo, which gives me a "dark" impression, Embalming Fluid is "light" and "white" comes to mind. My fiance loves this too, which is good, since he's so picky It also lasts very long on me. I'm definitely getting a full-sized bottle of this.

Yuzu, kaki, and mikan with cherry blossom and black tea. I completely love this. Being a first-timer to BPAL perfume oils, I bought a set of six imps, but I also bought this full sized (Partly because of its name and description that drew me), and I have absolutely no regrets about it. Yuzu, kaki, mikan, cherry blossom and black tea. Yuzu and mikan are variants of citrus fruits, whilst mikan is persimmon. Initial Impression: Nothing overly citrusy, but sweet in a fruity way with hints of bitterness. There's definitely the strong persimmon notes here. Wet: Fruity, bittersweet, persimmon. Slight hints of the citrusy yuzu and mikan are revealed slowly. Dry: This is where I can definitely smell the cherry blossom and black tea, and it blends well with the rest of the scents. Not powdery, not too strong or overpowering or artificial. Just pure dark bittersweet fruity goodness. When I first sniffed it "black" comes to mind when compared to my other favourites such as Embalming Fluid and Kumiho (Which to me, conjures "white"), and it's thankfully not an overly feminine scent (I'm not a fan of feminine scents), but a dark fruity one. Lasts quite long on me without altering its scent. Definitely a keeper and a favourite of mine.

I got an imp of this, and was one of the many BPAL perfume oils I'd like to try (Along with Embalming Fluid). As much as I wanted to like it, I was quite disappointed by it. Initial Impression: I don't smell any lemon here, but I would describe it overall as being minty and spicy. Wet: Still very minty. Hints of spice... anise? Dry: I smell of anise and fennel... mainly spice. My friend who noticed the smell (As well as knowing about BPAL) tells me it reminds her of gingerbread. I guess I'm just not that big a fan of spices/spicy perfume, and not being able to detect the lemon was a con for me
