In the vial: Mmmm. This oozes sweetness and spicyness. Very sexy. Honey jumps out initially. On my skin: Wet, this remains much the same as in the vial. As it dries, the spicey incense tones come out to play, but there's a sweet undertone of honey that retains the romance and playfulness. This is a fairly foody one, but it also has some spicy floral undertones that blend really beautifully. I also get the peanut butter note that others are getting from this. It isn't sickly or heavy on the nutty tones but it's definitely there. The throw of this scent isn't hugely intense, but it's one of those warm scents that you keep close to you and enjoy personally- or for anyone else that you allow to get close enough to enjoy it with you! Gorgeous, i'd love a bottle of this stuff.

In the vial: I smell neroli and sweet orange oil or mandarin quite strongly... It almost smells like the mandarin in Lush's HAPPY 4 SAD showergel. I can smell the Jasmine too, but it's not a Jasmine blend that I'm familiar with. On the skin: I'm not keen on this on my skin. Something is making it turn into a very 'perfumey' smell. Maybe it's just too complex for my feeble schnozz, but the Jasmine sticks out for me, whilst I love the initial neroli and mandarin smells. It's a sophisticated scent, perhaps nicer on someone a little older than myself (18). I'll probably find a mood for this one, but I won't be buying a 5ml, just a touch too floral and mature for me I think.

In the bottle: The first word that springs to mind is... fizzy! Maybe not a very sophisticated analysis, but true nonetheless. Taking out the imp stopper releases a the fizzy scent of a glass of the bubbly stuff. On the skin: The rose starts to come out a little more on the skin. Rose scents generally do okay on my skin, so the scent rounds out to a bubbly floral. Light, almost citrussy. Lovely, but I can't see this scent lasting. This oil makes me think of a wedding or celebration in a marquee in summertime. The roses I think of are definitely pink, I like this sharper, brighter kind of rose scent as opposed to the dusty rose notes in many oils. The scent lasted a whole lot longer than I anticipated with it's fluttery top notes. My Mum [who isn't a wild fan of my usual musy, vanilla, honeyish combos] smelled this on me from a couple of feet away and fell in love with it. She says it reminds her of the White Linen scent from Estee Lauder. I can't recall that scent, but I will say that it's not a bright white smell as much as a fresh pinkish smell. I wish I could get some more of this- it was a generous sniffie given in a batch of imps I bought from a user on here and I love it, even though it is so not my usual musky spicy sweet smells! This is one for when you're feeling youthful, frivolous and romantic- but still want to retain an element of class.

In the vial: Peach and juicy apple. I get a slight hint of men's cologne, but I think that may be the frankincense and myrrh, as it is a resiny spice smell. Wet: I'm getting an unexpected masculine tone from this, and I really like it. I smell a little rose, I think, though it's musky and warm rather than light and cold as lots of rose scents turn on me. The resiny undertones toughen up an otherwise pretty scent. Drydown: The whole scent seems to round off a little, the masculine aspect tones down and really evens out. At first I was apprehensive about this scent, as it reminded me of my Grandma- who is known in my family for wearing too much scent. However, I have come to realise that my Grandma has great taste. This is really sophisticated and classy.

Well, not only is this my first review, but it's the first bpal oil that I have ever tried. This is a moment in history, ladies and gentlemen. In the vial: Wow. BPAL scents are something else. Do I like it?... I get a fizzy, fruity sort of smell, mixed with something headier which I can only presume is the Myrrh. Yep. I like it. Wet: I still get the almost cola-bottle smell, but it has a slightly soapy undertone which I wouldn't expect to be as pleasant as it is. It really does give the feeling of the afterglow. Drydown: The scent deepens into a spicier scent, and I agree with the person who said that it's similar to the scents of a man and a woman, mingling. Fruity, and slightly heady. Overall opinion: I really enjoyed this scent, and I found it to be a lovely way to deflower me of my BPAL virginity. Beautiful. Oh, also. The description gives the sense that this is a pretty seductive oil. I didn't think it would be my boyfriend's thing- he usually comments when I wear citrussy and simple scents, whereas this one is fairly complex. He didn't make any comment at all, but proceeded to tell me that he wanted to kiss every inch of my body... Now was that the scent, or the fact that I opened the door in a towel?... I think the scent. I like the fact that it feels like a part of my body that smells delicious, as opposed to a 'perfume'. I'm hoping this is apparent with lots of Black Phoenix oils! =]
