    Blueberry Peppermint Bath Oil

Note: I use the bath oils as after the shower lotions. In the decant: All the notes, well blended. Wet: Blueberry and mint, slightly sweetened by the vanilla. Lots of mint! The dry-down: A little bit of this goes a long way. I like it, but I wish it had less mint.

    Raspberry Thumbprint Cookie Bath Oil

Note: I use these bath oils as after-shower lotions. In the decant: Sugar cookies, no raspberry. Wet: I shook it up some before application. A bit of raspberry mixed in with lots of cookies. The dry-down: Slight raspberry jam with many cookies. Sweet, but I was hoping for something more like the raspberry-heavy Fruit Moon '09. I'll keep my decant, though. :

    Shortbread Snowflakes Bath Oil

Note: I use the bath oils as after the shower lotions. In the decant: Shortbread cookies with frosting. Wet: The coconut note appears! The dry-down: And now the frosting has spread all over the cookies, top and bottom. If you like cookies with lots of frosting, this is the bath oil for you. Little girls might like it, too. I like it, but won't need more than my decant.

    Eldrich Dark Bath Oil

Note: I use the bath oils as after-shower lotions. In the decant: Musky honeyed rose. That's good! Wet: Much as when sniffed, although not as sweet, and leather is appearing. The dry-down: As this dries, it does seem to fade faster than I would like. The oil is a bit thinner than some other Post oils, but absorbs nicely. In the end, it's a lovely combination of all the notes. May have to order a bottle.

    Krampus Bath Oil

Note: I use the Post's bath oils as after shower lotions on my dry skin. In the decant: Leather and musk, a hint of wood. Wet: Mostly woods, hints of the red musk and black leather. The dry-down: Sadly, the black leather is turning chemical on me. Will try on SO.

    Scent for Halloween?

I wore Blue Snowballs over the weekend, Midnight Mass for yesterday, Dec. 24, Snow White for today, Christmas Day, and Sparkling Apple Cider for NYE. The SO's family is having a dinner party tomorrow, so I will wear something light, perhaps snowy or icy.

    Samhain

This is for the 2012 version. In the bottle: The spices, the fruits, hint of the woods. Wet: A hint of some sort of incense, along with the other notes. The dry-down: Lots of incense and a hint of patch. No fruits or woods. Disappointing, as this second bottle is from the middle of the production run. The first bottle was very apply and I loved it.

What do bottles and labels look like?

The regular Yules seem to have the same labels altogether as the picture on the Lab's site, where it says Yules with the red and green stripes.

    Mango-Infused Pumpkin Chai Latte

In the decant: Tea with lots of good stuff! Wet: Mango and pumpkin float to the top, trailed by all the spices. The dry-down: The spices really take over, too much so. If I was at a tea house/coffee shop, I'd ask them to dump it in a larger cup, and just add tea, to adjust.

    Pumpkin I (2012)

In the decant: That's similar to the hay note in Hay Moon--a little goes a long way! Wet: Yay, the pumpkin appears so that the hay won't be alone. The dry-down: Not sure what to think of this. The leather is a soft sueded leather, which is good. Might be best as a room scent. More masculine than feminine.

    Halloween In Innsmouth

In the decant: Cold, wet, incense, and something like fresh scales off a fish. Wet: Much as when sniffed, only that fish has been around for a while, and is getting a little musky. The dry-down: Yeah, fishy incense. I was told to try this while fishing for a Cold Winter fish moon scent. Skipping that wish. However, the scent is very evocative of the concept, but not anything that I can imagine wearing.

    Red Pumpkin Floss

In the decant: Kind of like cherry-flavored cough syrup, only verging on the bitter. Oh dear, this can't be good. Wet: Did I mention that bitter note? Yeah, must be the red licorice. The dry-down: Just sad. I had hoped that all the lovely fruity notes would cover up the licorice, but it was not to be.

    The Tears of Lilith

In the decant: A glass of red wine, sweetened with honey, calmed with ambergris. Wet: Much as the cold sniff. The dry-down: Hydromel is a variant of mead. I mead. This is a beautiful creation. Bottle-worthy. Sweet and yet sad, all at the same time. Also. Lilith was a great woman done in by history (his story), so to speak.

    Pumpkin IV

In the decant: Woods that are sweetish. What is saro? A search via Dogpile and the wiki resulted in no hits. Wet: Something slightly bitter is emerging. The dry-down: Thank goodness that bitter note has somewhat disappeared. Getting mostly mahogany from this, backed by the floral/fruity sweetness of the mimosa and the pumpkin.

    The Ghastly Garden

This is for the 2012 version. In the decant: A sweet collection of florals, with berries in the mix. Wet: Not so sweet, a little bit more herbal now. The dry-down: Sweet flowers, sweet herbs. There's nothing ghastly so far about this garden.

    Pumpkin Vines

In the decant: Green roots and vines of the pumpkins. Wet: Now sweeter pumpkin, but the vines are still there. The dry-down: Now the pumpkin vines are starting to dry out. An interesting scent.

    Pumpkin V

In the decant: Vanilla pumpkin, more candy sweet than fruity. Wet: Lots of sweet vanilla, less pumpkin. The dry-down: See above. This is good stuff! Bottle-worthy.

    Suck It

In the decant: Black cherry brandy, as on the label. Wet: More of the same. The dry-down: Nice black cherry brandy.

    Pomona

I seem to remember having an issue with the hazelnut note in the previous version, but can't locate any possible review of it. At any rate, this is for the 2012 version. In the decant: Fruits with sharp nuts. Wet: Ah, much better so far. Mostly the lovely fruits. The dry-down: Mostly the apple, but there's hints of pom and blackberry. Fruity-sweet. May upgrade to a bottle.

    Meditation in Autumn

This is for the 2012 version. In the decant: Traces of wood, vines, and sandalwood. Wet: Sharp vines, somewhere between summer green and autumnal brown. The dry-down: The old wood and the brown sandalwood returned, but only faintly. This is still just mostly all the time vines. Nice, but nothing I need more of.

    Third Charm

In the decant: Musky woods spiced with patch and sweetened with honey. Wet: A dark brown oil. Woods, musk, patch, not so much honey. The dry-down: Lovely cedar incense shows up along with the other woods. And also the wonderful champaca flower appears, to be sweetened by the honey. I'm usually not too wild about red musk, as my dry skin can amp it, but here it seems to be tamed or at least kept in check by all the other notes. It's a perfect autumnal scent, and I can see why this is such a big hit. Bottle-worthy.

    Mischief

In the decant: There's paper, beer, cut-open pumpkins--mischief indeed! Wet: Something like wet grass and leaves is appearing. The dry-down: It's paper, wet grass and leaves, and only hints of pumpkin stuff. Evocative of petty vandalism, but not a fave.

    The Vampire Bride

In the decant: White tea full of a bouquet of floral flavourings, but no sweet stuff any where. Wet: Much as when sniffed, but with the musk slowly emerging. The dry-down: The pretty pink oil melts into my skin as a delicate tea scent wrapped about with gentle florals and a little bit of red musk dribbled into the cup. A lovely and elegant scent for a lady. ETA: only to say that this is for the 2012 version.

    Punkie Night

This is for the 2012 version. In the bottle: Apples and cranberries. Wet: Apples, cranberries, and apple cider now. The dry-down: Apples, apple cider, and cranberries to spice it up. Just a lovely apple scent.

    Sugar Skull

Vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits. In the decant: Sugared light fruits. Wet: Still sugary fruits, but the fruits are more obvious. The dry-down: Those fruits are really candy now, and a tad musky, but still yummy. ETA: only to add that this is for the 2012 version.
