In the bottle: Fresh Snake Oil poured over fresh pumpkin. Wet: Now more like spicy pumpkin pie, moreso than usual. The dry-down: And morphing again to a somewhat aged Snake Oil, resting on top of halfway baked plain pumpkin. I should note that I prefer aged Snake Oil, and I also prefer some of the Snake Pit denizens, along w/ Snake Charmer, again to fresh Snake Oil. Note to the mods: The label on my bottles states: "Snakes in the Pumpkin Patch", not "Snake Oil in the Pumpkin Patch".

In the bottle: Ethereal flowers in a base of white sandalwood, w/ a crystal cup of ice wine near-by. Wet: Much as on cold sniff, but w/ a hint of the powderiness of the amber. The dry-down: A sharp note appears, probably all the white notes going a little high-pitched. Scent-locket scent fir me, as the cold sniff is so elegant.

In the bottle: All the Alice notes, but amped by the creamy pumpkin. Wet: Much as on cold sniff, but more rose, carnation and bergamot, and less milk, honey, and pumpkin. The dry-down: All the notes have settled down and blended into something just amazing and gorgeous! It's like Alice amped and surrounded by creamy pumpkin goodness. Not fresh pumpkin, not pumpkin pie, w/ all those spices, but just pumpkin creamed with some milk and mashed and gently stewed on the stove top. A huge fave--I have 1/2 bottle, and may get more. I adore Alice, but this beyond that.

In the bottle: Chypre and pom. Wet: Close up, dusty amber. Far off, myrrh and the pomegranate. The dry-down: The pom is trying to fight against the amber. I hope it wins, as I love pom amd myrrh.

In the bottle: Stone, woods, those pale musks, a hint of ozone from the vapours. Wet: Cool, pale musks flowing over stone. The dry-down: The dusty wood lurks under the pale musks. An interesting and ethereal scent. I do suspect that I might like this better in spring and summer.

In the bottle: The tear-soaked moss is covering the stone. Wet: Getting the sharpness of the stone now. It's not a weathered stone, but as though a piece was just carved or broken. The dry-down: A new tombstone, set in an old mossy bank, well-watered by tears. Like this very much.

In the bottle: Warm beeswax and gentle pumpkin. Wet: Much as on cold sniff, but the honey-sweetness of the beeswax is more obvious and lovely. The dry-down: Not much of a morpher! Just lovely. If you like scents like Candles Moon, but wanted it to have a richer, warmer scent, this comes highly recommended by me. The label of cats is spooky-cute. Probably my fave of the new Halloweenies.

In the bottle: The cinnamon from Sin, splashed over some pumpkin. Wet: Even more cinnamon, but hints of patch and sandalwood. The dry-down: This has become Sin layered over a creaminess, which must be the pumpkin. I've not tried Sin in a long time on its own, because of the amber and cinnamon. Since this works, I may have to try layering O and Sin, or Sin and Snake Oil. ETA: grammar issue

In the bottle: Very dark patch, but not too earthy/rooty. Wet: The slight sweetness of the tobacco and opoponax shine through the darkness. The dry-down: Everything has blended together wonderfully. Great scent for a club night. A pack of clove cigs would just add to this.

This is for the 2013 version. In the bottle: Vetiver indeed, but gentled by a good mix of all the other notes. Wet: Much as on cold sniff, but the leaves and balsam are moving around the vetiver, trying to tame the beast. The dry-down: The balsam and the leaves are dominant now, but they rest on a bed of all the other notes crafted together. Just a wonderful evocation of walking through a mixed forest on a calm autumn day.

Basically this is the white floral and herbal scent of white sage from beginning to end., though more floral in the wet stage, and then more herbal as it dries down. Is there a TAL like this? If not, there ought to be one.

In the decant: Red tea and the champaca incense. Wet: Eek! The vetiver is trying to drown the other notes, alas. The dry-down: This, for all effective purposes, SN Vetiver became dry and harsh. Disappointing, as the cold sniff was so elegant.

In the bottle: That blood musk is most obvious, but tempered by a subtle blending of the other notes. Wet: Much as on cold sniff, but with the tobacco coming forward a little. A little sweeter as well, from the cacao and benzoin. The dry-down: Not really a morpher, though as it dries, there is just a bit more of the wonderful blending. I like this vamp a lot, and might upgrade my half-bottle to a full one. I should mention that I like all the notes.

In the bottle: Yes, there's that earthy patch. Wet: Patch now being tempered by not-too-sweet honey and oud. The dry-down: Very much like if one took a SN Patchouli, and then added a bit of honey (not very sweet), and then rubbed some oud on top. I like it better than the bath oil. I only have the half-bottle and am debating on a full one.

In the decant: Lots of mint, with a hint of sweetness from the fruit. Wet: More mint, less sweet fruit goodness. The dry-down: In the end, faint fruit and mint.

Sprayed onto a paper towel: I get the brown sugar, the graham crackers, the chocolate, but not much smoke or pumpkin marshmallows. Very nice.

In the bottle: Very much Boo, with lots of the sugar and cream. Wet: Very much Boo, but more of the cotton and less of the sugar and cream. The dry-down: Combines the sugar, the cream, and the cotton in equal parts. I have only a decant in the bottle, but may need more. The label has two folks in skeleton costumes riding horses, also in skeleton costumes.

In the bottle: Mostly pink lime. Wet: All the notes are there, but the white mint is the brightest. The dry-down: The mint has calmed down. The rosemary is trying to break though. Still a lot of pink lime. The eucalyptus petals are acting as a base for the other scents.

In the bottle: Just as the notes say, lightly spiced ice cream. Wet: Whoa! The spices are hugely front-and-center, loud and powerful! The dry-down: Basically like sniffing my jar of pumpkin pie spices, dry and dusty. Just a faint hint of the ice cream.

In the bottle: Smells like a sweet (the copal) version of Samhain or Falling Leaf Moon, with a wine base. Wet: The patch, myrrh, and frank are most obvious. The dry-down: As this dries down, the jasmine and rose are making their evil presence known, alas. The resins and the copal are disappearing, too. Very much a morpher. I'll keep my decant in the Post bottle and hope for better results later on. Btw, the label is super-cute, with two black kittens poking their heads through the "eyes" of a smiling jack-o-lantern. Rather disappointed, but should have known that the florals might ruin things. Edited only for grammar fail.

In the decant: Slightly spicy, slightly sugary roses. Wet: Much the same as on cold sniff, but prettier. The dry-down: Not a morpher. Just nice sweet and spicy tea roses.

In the decant: Lots of flowers, but something heady and spicy at the bottom of it all. Wet: Not so spicy now, and the flowers start to meld into a harmonious whole, lightly held in check by the musk and the patch. The dry-down: The spices provide a gentle bed for the florals, but the mixed flowers dominant, even over the patch and the musk.

In the decant: A well-blended herbal and floral perfume, not too dark or too bright. More floral sweet than herbal. Wet: The sharpness of the carnation, the ginger and probably the thistles is most evident. The dry-down: The herbal and floral notes are blending back again, but what I think is the chocolate peppermint is overlaying the mix. Nice, but herbs and flowers all combined like this seemingly made me sneeze! The blessed thistles and chocolate peppermint were unknown notes to me, but nothing else in the list should have caused me any issues. Some more notes, not unlike the honey and aloe, might have tempered the mix better, for my tastes, that is. I like florals and herbs just fine, but not in mass quantities.

In the bottle: this is somewhat like the honey musk (a note that I adore!) in Lady Una, some really sweet vanilla ice cream, and a hint of a sharp lavender and a touch of the tea note in Dorian Wet: Much the same as on cold sniff, only sweeter, if possible. The dry-down: As this dries down, I get more of the vanilla tea note from Dorian and the lavender, with the later being sweetened by the richness of the ice cream. This will be a lovely scent to wear when I want some scent, but don't want to be overwhelming. This is a half-bottle from my decanter, but I'm debating springing for a full bottle. A very lovely and loving scent!
