I also wonder if you'd like Opuhi, even though it's LE but I've seen it on the sale boards. I don't think coconut is listed but to me it smells like really really good vanilla (a little spicy) but it's got kind of a creamy smell that I sometimes associate with coconut scents.

I got two bottles of Snow White 07 fairly easily on the sale boards...I also second Obatala. On me I'm not sure I get a lot of vanilla from Obatala but it's a nice sweet coconut. I also liked Elegba..coconutty but not as sweet.

I'm a big fan of the original D&G perfume, it's been a favourite of mine since I was a teenager, wearing it takes me right back to University. Given the disparity in listed notes, this may sound a bit odd but when I tried Dia it very much reminded me of D&G. Dia - White amber, coconut, white musk, oakmoss, and tobacco flower. After I read your post I decided to do a sniff test, so I've now got Dia on my left wrist and D&G on my right. Dia has a strong coconutty top note on me, whilst D&G is all carnation but once they start to dry down there's a similar slightly dry, warm, creamy floral underneath. Cousins not twins on me, but both lovely! Might be worth investigating? Edited to add that after I've had them both on for a couple of hours they've become more similar - I can still tell the difference, there's still a bit of coconut going on with Dia but they're very alike on me. :love!: I think that Zephyr smells like the drydown of the red cap D&G. When I tried it I immediately thought that it smelled almost exactly like my favorite "part" of D&G

Yes at first it smells exactly like Coppertone..but I would say that part fades pretty quickly on me. Maybe I'll just have to break down and buy the lotion and slather that on and then the perfume. LOVE that stuff!

I can't decide if I like this or not...to me it smells like chocolate and pine...kind of like a piney "O" Interesting...

Anyone have a suggestion for someone who likes Black Amethyst? I don't want a smell alike necessarily but something that I might like given that I like Black Amethyst?

I tried to search for a thread on this one and came up with nothing so I apologize if I missed it. Anyway...I LOVE Bobbi Brown Beach but it doesn't last all that long. Initially it smells just like suntan lotion and fades into a kind of light florally scent. I haven't worn it in a while so I have a hard time remembering. All I could find for notes was "sand jasmine, sea spray, and mandarin" although I'm sure there are more than that. If anyone knows of something similar I would love to try it, thanks!

I have adored RF&S for years and have an obscene amount stocked up, and I've noticed that on me Dana O'Shee smells a lot like it, although a wee bit sweeter. They do have a body spray available for it, as well as lotion, body cream and shower gel, although catching them all in stock on the website is tough sometimes.On me "O" smells a lot like Rice Flower and Shea..just more intense. I kinda think The Raven smells like it...after it dries down some.

Rome started out with just rose rose rose and a little bit of regular soap. Not like "rose soap" but like rose and then soap..if that makes sense. About a half hour passed and there was some pine all of a sudden! It's weird, I'm only getting pine on my left arm and only wafting in and out. The scent has faded fairly quickly as well..but it's nice.

I got this as a frimp in my first order and after reading the reviews I am wondering if I got a mislabeled sample. This smelled HORRIBLE and I'm shocked after reading the notes that together they would smell like this. I slapped some on my wrist and literally gagged. It smelled like the stems of fresh cut flowers that have been in the vase too long and are starting to get slimy and rotted. Then take that smell and pickle it and salt it and that is what it was to me. I was shocked to see that lavendar and violet are part of this blend...both of them I usually really like. I tried to let it settle into my skin but within a minute I was scrubbing it off.

I like more floral scents...something feminine and light but NOT sweet. It seems like so many florals are sweet to me and headache inducing. I don't want to smell "girly" and "sweet". I want to be soft and pretty and grown up. It seems like I would like something that smells more like outside wildflowers or dried flowers or something. Something that you can smell sunshine and wind and leaves and stems and dirt in too. I want floral but something grounded and with some depth..not just flowers. Any suggestions? I love lavendar and rose...I just tried The Raven and Whip last night and liked them both. I thought they'd be sweet but they weren't on me..in fact I accidently overlapped them on one wrist and that smelled really good too. I'm not good at describing notes and scents and that kind of thing so any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
