This is so sophisticated! On me, it's a beautiful light creamy ginger. Very warm and inoffensive (or is it unoffensive? uh oh). Definitely something that could easily be worn to work. I might get a bottle of this for my aunt, as she loves this type of scent. It seems like the kind of fragrance that would be very soothing before bed. Yum. Out of 10: 8

I quite like this. In the imp and wet, it smells sour, but once it dries down, it becomes a musky warm scent, that does smell a little like my dog's fur when he's sitting in the sun! It's definitely strong on the amber. I like it; it's not really sexy, but I think it would be nice for a day of sitting around the house, reading and relaxing. My imp will get some serious use. Out of 10: 7

I want to eat my arm. I never thought I'd find a match for the yummy root beer Love's Philosophy turns into on my skin..but I have! This is the most delicious root beer float. So good. It almost seems to share a note with my beloved Dorian, but I'm not sure what. Anyway, this is a short review cause I don't have much to say. Love love love, root beer (weird, cause I hate drinking root beer). Out of 10: 10!

I don't like this. I knew it was a mistake as soon as I ordered it, since I don't like fruity scents. When the reviews saying it was boozy came in, I regretted it even more. And alas, I was correct. It smells so strange..maybe the "metallic" part. I smell a ton of grape, and a weird scent that I wouldn't personally compare to gin (as gin is my favorite drink and I think it smells like pine trees). I don't smell any blueberry or lime, unfortunately. Not . For . Me. Out of 10: 2, boo.

I don't know how I feel about this.. I had such high hopes, but it just kind of smells..weak. I guess I didn't know what a marshmallow would smell like. It's very mild and light, which isn't bad, but it's very..I dunno the right word, muddled? I can't really tell what it smells like, I almost smell strawberry. A little bit of the dandelion note from Strawberry Moon, but mostly that weak, strange strawberry. Oh, I am sad. Hopefully when I try it again, I'll like it a little more. Out of 10: 5 (for now) ETA: Yes! I love this now. Thank goodness. Now I smell the grass and dandelion from SM, but mostly a sweet, fluffy pink marshmallow. Awesome.

Just thought I'd bump this thread to ask my question instead of starting a new one! Since I was a little girl, my favorite animal has been the red fox. They have the same color fur as my hair, they're smart, adaptable, and quick.. So beautiful. I'd like a scent that captures the essence du fox; something a little musky, rangy, cunning and sly. I ordered an imp of Coyote, so that might work, but are there any other eau de renard scents you can think of? Thanks in advance!

I'm currently sporting Midnight on the Midway, and it smells JUST like the nag champa I buy downtown. Yummy incense with a little bit of grape.

Ok, I hate patchouli. I really do. It ruins blends for me, because it makes my sinuses hurt. I got this as a frimp from a lovely forumite, otherwise, I probably never would have tried it. In the Imp: I was flinching in fear at this point. Surprisingly, it's not bothering me too much. It's kind of a nice dirt smell. Huh. Wet: The same. Dry: I never get apricot, but the dirt sharpens and turns more traditionally patch, so I had to wash it off. If only it would have stayed the same; I love the smell of dirt. Oh well, it was a fun experiment if nothing else! Out of 10: First stages, 6. Dry stage, 3.

I..don't smell vanilla? Vanilla amps on me (yay) like nobody's business, so I don't understand. Honestly, I don't even smell vanilla in the imp. It smells like Dana O'Shee to me. It's nice, very unassuming and soft, but it doesn't really grab me. Too milky I guess. Out of 10: 5

Oddly enough, to me this smells just like Cockaigne, only with almond. I have no idea why, but I get a strong bread-y vibe, with almonds in the background. Despite my hatred for almond, I don't mind this. I think it would make for a relaxing bath; I just wouldn't be able to stand the smell all day. Out of 10: 6.5

This . is . delicious . I never thought I'd buy a bath oil, but I'm definitely ordering a bottle of this in my next order. It smells like caramel chocolate cake! I absolutely love it. It's very rich and decadent; I'll probably wear it as a perfume oil to be honest . Yum. Out of 10: 10!

At first, this actually smells like my aunt's sponge cake! So cool. When it's dry, it's ALL gingerbread. Random, eh? It's very nice though; I'm not a huge gingerbread fan, but I really like the idea of wearing this around the holidays. It makes my arm smell edible. In the Imp: Whoa, is that what saffron smells like? Very potent stuff. Wet: Hey, this smells like cream soda! That's so weird, it actually smells carbonated. Dry: One of the best vanillas I've come across. It's light and sweet and almost reminiscent of root beer. So good, I need a bottle of this. Out of 10: 10

This is delicious. I'm so depressed that it's pretty much impossible to find in imp form.. In the Imp: I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's very acrid, not sugary sweet like it is on my skin. Wet: Cotton candy and fried dough. YUM. Dry: My arm smells like funnel cakes and powdered sugar. I love carnivals, and this is literally a mixture of the best smells from them. I will be treasuring my imp for as long as I can. Out of 10: 9!

In the Imp: Jasmine! Bluhhh. Oh no. Wet: It's gone! Good. It smells like the nag champa incense I burn when I shower, with something almost fruity-sweet. Dry: It smells JUST like a store in downtown Halifax called the Black Market. Wow, that's so evocative, it's freaky. Very much incense, with just the right hit of sweetness. I might have to buy a bottle of this for my "exotic" days. And yes, it is sad that this is just about as exotic as I get. Out of 10: 9!

Lady Una smells like blueberry (I know it's blackberry, but I smell blueberry) scones and honey on me! The vanilla isn't in the foreground, but it's definitely there, and it's lovely. Very sweet. Dorian will always be my number one vanilla. Always.

Ok, thanks so much! People are this forum are so helpful, it's amazing. It's really a big difference from a lot of the other Internet forums I've been on.

Has anyone tried Hand of Glory and Western Diamondback? I love the dry, slightly sweet, smokiness of Hand of Glory, and Western Diamondback sounds similar in feel..they both share the leather note. If I love Hand of Glory, will I like Western D?

Initial Smell from Imp: Very subtle and soft. Something a little green. I can't pick out anything else. It's a soothing scent. Wet: Herbal, but I like it more then most herbal scents I've tried. I don't love it, but it's alright. It's starting to smell like those Citronella candles. Dry: Yeah, this went to pure Citronella on me. Oh well. Out of 10: 3

Frimp-a-limp. Thanks Lab! The description for this one scares me a bit, but we shall see. Initial Smell from Imp: Little bit of citrus, a little bit of sandalwood. It's surprisingly light! Wet: I don't know. I might smell a little lime, but it's faint. I definitely smell lavendar, it's very herbal. Something that smells almost like a grapefruit is hovering just under the herbal smell. Dry: The same as wet. It's not my thing, too herbal and green. Out of 10: 4

I need a little joy today! Initial Smell from Imp: It smells like candy! That`s awesome. Wet: Oh, wait. It`s got a weird acrid note to it. Noo, please go back to the candy! I think I smell cherry? Cough medicine. Dry: It smells like cherry lollipops! I don't really like cherry, but this is alright! It's definitely cheerful. Out of 10: 6.5

Yet another frimp. I don't generally like flowers, so this will be interesting! Initial Smell from Imp: Yum, it`s sweet! No flowers at all! It reminds me of the sweet lotus from Paris. Wet: It`s very girly. It smell fruity, like a melon or cantelope. I can definitely see why it`s called Juliet, it`s very youthful and innocent. Dry: It dries down staying mostly the same. Sweet and light, very much like melon and little white flowers. I can see a fairy wearing something like this. It`s not really me, but it`s definitely pleasant. I`ll enjoy my imp. Out of 10: 6.5

I've wanted to try this since I found BPAL, and the labbies were generous enough to frimp me with it! Hopefully the booze doesn't ruin it for me.. Initial Smell from Imp: It's sweet..it almost smells like wine. I don't mind it; at least it's not rum. Wet: Sort of sour-sweet, but not bad sour. Sour like wine. Seems to be a recurring theme here.. Dry: I can barely smell it. I think my skin ate it.. It's very sweet, but not cloying. I like it! No booze anymore! If only Love Me weren't wafting over from my other wrist, I think I'd like it even more. I'll retest it later by itself and edit this review. Out of 10: For now, 7

A frimp from the Lab! Let's give 'er a go. Initial Smell from Imp: Soap? I smell Jergens soap. Hmm. Wet: A floral that I can't place. It's very sharp. Maybe some sort of spice as well? God, I'm sorry, I'm terrible at identifying notes. Dry: Yeah, this goes pretty sour on me. It's all flower. Actually, it sort of reminds me of the smell of daffodils.. Odd. I don't like it. Out of 10: 2

Lady Una is my favorite character in Stardust, and even though I generally dislike honey, I thought I'd give this a try because it sounded so magical. Intial Smell from Bottle: Honey, but it's not the same dry, powdery honey from O that I disliked. This is sultry, sweet honey. Very promising. Wet: I guess I'm smelling honey musk? It's so nice, light and fae but still sensual. I don't smell any blackberry or green tea leaf yet, but the vanilla is creeping in. It smells like a real vanilla bean. Dry: There's the blackberry! Oh, I'm so glad it doesn't turn to cat pee on me like it did on some other reviewers. It's dancing just over the honey musk and vanilla, with just a touch of something indescribable. It's so evocative of the character, playful and light, with a sensual side. I love this, and I think my faith in honey has been renewed. Out of 10: 9
