  1. Skin musk, white sandalwood, balsam fir, frozen black berries, cedar, winter rose, and white amber.

ITI: Smells like generic perfume, but like GOOD generic perfume. I can smell the woods and the amber already. I don't think it smells particularly cold, though, like many have said.

Wet: Smells sharp and almost minty. The woods are coming out now...primarily the balsam, which makes it smell too close to pine cleaner. The berries are there, sweetening everything up. It's hard to put my finger on what this smells like to me. I think there are some aquatics in here. I'm not sure if it's this or something else in the box, but I'm feeling a little headachey/sneezy.

Dry: Hmm...very floral, yet very piney. Not getting a whole lot of musk, berries, sandalwood. Mostly fir and rose and aquatics of some kind. I think the rose note in this one is making it weird on me.

Drydown: The skin musk and amber are starting to come out now. I am really not sure about this one. I think it makes me sniffly. Starting to remind me of Nosferatu, which was sour and awful on me.

Final thoughts: "Lines..." is not good on me. It does not smell like what I hoped it would smell like, which makes me sad because I was so looking forward to it. I may try it again, but more likely will swap/sell.

  2. ITI: It smells like cedar astringent.

Wet: Sweet, with just enough musk. Cedar cedar cedar. Good thing I like cedar! A little bitter, but delightfully so.

Dry: Smells a little piny and acidic, yet also quite sweet.

Drydown: Wow, this has a lot of throw. The musk is relatively strong, and I think that is what is so...err, ambient. The pine has faded, and I smell a little more incense now. I can smell the sweetness of the orange. It is a little spicy...I guess that's the clove and cumin? And it has a tiny bit of the smokiness of the tobacco. I'm not getting any mint. Dracul is mostly cedar and sweetness and musk and spice, I think. I have seen it compared to Old Spice here, and I can kind of see that. This is warmer and more complex, however. A much deeper and richer scent.

Final Thoughts: This ended up giving me a headache...the black musk kept amping more and more on me. On my husband it smelled woody, musky-sweet, smoky, and not nearly as strong. It wasn't quite right for him, either. Swap/sell.

  3. In the Imp (ITI): A grapefruit just punched me in the nose! :D There is no grapefruit on the scent notes....Aha! Yuzu! From Wikipedia: Citrus fruit, a hybrid of sour mandarian and Ichang papeda. Even looks like a grapefruit! It might be in cahoots with the mikan, a variety of mandarin orange. Apparently kaki is a type of Japanese persimmon.

Wet: Bright yellow! The bitter yuzu smells so good and sharp and clean. There is a touch of sweetness that isn't there in the bottle.

Dry: The grapefruit smell is fading, and the bitterness is gone quickly. Now it's bright, clear, and sharp. The sweetness of the persimmon and the gentle floral of the cherry blossom starts peeking through. The tea gives it depth. Medium throw. Exquisite, delicate, complex. Love. :P

Drydown: The citrus fades first...the yuzu is gone after 10 minutes, and the orange goes after about 30. Uh oh...this is a familiar smell. I think I had some body spray like this when I was much younger. Aizen-Myoo smells better, natch, but now I can't help but smell cheap pre-teen perfume. :D I'm blaming the fruity persimmon and the floral cherry blossom. I might be too old for this and I'm only 24.

Final Thoughts: It is light and pretty, but too much like my old drugstore body spray.

  4. My husband's nickname is D, so I had to try this on him.

ITI: Can smell the leather & wood. There is something sharp in it as well...like a citrus or a pine.

Wet: The leather is prominent, as is the rosewood. I can smell the incense, but it isn't overwhelming. Mmm, mostly soft, sweet, spicy leather.

Dry: The rosewood is coming out, and the leather is still there. So is the incense, though, and it is getting stronger. :P Not sure about the incense. Dee has medium throw. I can smell the tonka when I am a little farther off...it seems to waft well.

Drydown: Incense! :D He smells overwhelmingly like nag champa. He smells good, don't get me wrong, but I thought the incense would be a background note. No leather, no parchment, no lovely woods, just incense.

Final thoughts: I see now that many reviews here mention the incense, but I thought it would be a background note...I posit that D amps incense. I was really hoping this would be a hit because of the name connection, but I don't think Dee is for D.
