This scent is incredible! In the imp it's EXACTLY like fresh shucked corn-- the corn meat it there, the green husk, it's seriously spot on. On my bf this becomes sweet corn, almost candied, but still a hint of the husk and dirt. On me I somehow amp this to beautiful floral, musky, corn. I dunno where the flowers and musk come from but it's warm, comfy and unique with decent throw. This will probably become a bottle purchase

It's super faint on my skin, but what I can smell IS that of a clean man Leather and floral soap, straight up

I loooove black licorice, but I dont LOVE this. Yes, I also get no cherry blossom.. but what I do get is a weird yeasty anise. Maybe thats the vanilla in there? It's thick, flat and well... bready. I was hoping for the overwhelming anise that everyone has been describing, but this fades quickly on me and just isn't all I was hoping for.

The berry note explodes on my skin.. it's pretty much all I can smell, with a faint hint of hazelnut. In the imp something about this reminded me of the smell of a friends apt, which I think comes from her chinchilla cage.. the hay maybe? although I'm very familiar with hay I've never really be able to identify this smell-- but here it is It's not bad, but it's kinda a.. hmm flat smell, I guess that makes sense since that's how I think of the taste of nuts: flat and thick. Not really my thing

Evokes serious coldness. It's cologney musk, stone and green aquatic slime (like on damp marble perhaps). There is a hint of fur musk (though not as strong as the nearly overpowering skin musk), but not as much as I'd like. Still, it's cold, feminine and biting. Appropriate. Interesting and I'm glad I finally got my hands on a decant.

Gahhh This is wonderful! The clove is so yummy and spicy, there's a tad of citrus/resinous bite that might galbanum (?) The patchouli is squeaky clean. The throw has a kinda "stereotypical man" vibe (sweet leather and nameless spice), but up close it's ultra complex-- it's spicy and warm and deep. It reminds me of the smell of imported fabrics that have been exposed to incense for who knows how long. mmm I love the clove in this!

at first application its mostly cedar, sage, vanilla, leather (in that order) I dont get any lavender or carnation (double darn on that one ) A lot of people have mentioned it's masculine-- it's pretty neutral to my nose. Sure, it's heavy on the leather, but the vanilla makes it creamy. Yummm

Hmmm when it first goes on its a tad funky, with some green/mildewy thing going on. Once the sandalwood and amber start to heat up on my skin though it becomes a bit powdery/creamy which is good. I tend to amp sandalwood which is ok cause I lurvs it Its definitely good but it does have this green aspect I wasn't expecting.

When I sniff the open bottle... fish?! Kinda like how people smell pickles in some musk blends I guess... Eventually that note (which it just kinda "green" really) fades out and this is a dusty, sweet floral. It's a cousin to Morocco I think-- with the same dry yet creamy sweetness, but definitely a different floral note. actually teh more I sniff it the more I'm reminded of Morocco.. weird! It's pretty gorgeous but definitely goes away fast.. pity

Pretty nice, although not so different from a lot of BPAL blends I've sniffed. Goes on as a strong, heady floral, dries quickly down to a smokey, hazy, heady wisp of a scent. Pretty nice really! I love opium, but for some reason this blend doesn't hold the opium note as well/long as some..

On my skin this smells more similar to the well loved LE The Girl than any other BPAL Ive tried. It's definitely a bit more fruity than the girl, but they have the same creamy musk base. I wore them on the same day to compare them and if you love The Girl, Tamora is probably a good bet for you too. Not as long lived/throwing as The Girl, but still delicious

Yep, fancy sunscreen Which is fine by me. At least, I think it smells like fancy sunscreen haha maybe "dream sunscreen" Strongest initially are the orange blossom and ylang ylang-- strongly floral with a definite "green" stem note others have mentioned, but the coconut is always there, and becomes stronger with time. The green stem note goes away. This blend is pretty strong with quite a bit of throw.

This smells very intriguing in the bottle-- creamy wood and ginger (but not too much, because as a rule I "hate" ginger) and a touch of resinous spice. On my skin it fades pretty darn fast (couple hours max) and it, somewhat unfortunately, smells like a fancy wood polishing product. My bf and I agreed that it was kinda nice even so.. but I'm glad I went for a partial bottle from the sale forum

I'd forgotten the note list when I tried this earlier today. Unfortunately (because carnations are my top love note) I didn't think "carnations" I thought "cinnamon mixed berry candle" it was really spicy, pretty boring, and faded super fast too bad..

I have been waffling on buying a bottle of Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener for awhile because it's yummy creamy rootbeer. Then I got a frimp of Tombstone.. It's the same rootbeer base, but warmer. muskier and a tad woodier whereas SSS is cooler and sweeter. The two together are very nice, but I think I'm going to add a bottle of Tombstone to my next order

First impression upon sniffing bottle: Arizona Watermelon drink and flowers... On the skin I'm thinking that crystalline is def. a good word for this.. so is Dial. This is the soapiest blend I've smelled from BPAL and it immediately made my nose stuff up and me sneezy.. I'll let it age a bit but... hmm... I guess what I really want is another bottle of The Girl

Immediately on my skin it's exactly what I'm wanting-- old metal fixings, warm jewels and incense. It reminds me strongly of my favorite bead store/hippie shop from where I grew up. As it dries on my skin though it's straight up warm leather. It's so strongly and obviously leather I'm surprised it's not listed as a note, as I can smell nothing else for most of this blend's wear time! Don't get me wrong, it smells lovely and I got several compliments in my first day wearing it. Eventually it fades way down to a faint Black Opalish smell. Lovely, but I'd only need a second bottle if the initial smell stuck around longer

I've always been under the impression that what that meant was that you might burn off the components at rates different than what would normally occur if they were left to sit on your body (with it's natural body chemistry/body heat etc). Case in point; I often rub my oils when I test them to better approximate the "dried down" scent. It's true that if you vigorously rub your wrists you are creating heat higher than your normal average skin temp so you could expect to (1) shorten the life of the scent overall (2) change the ratios of oils in the scent based on their volatility. Maybe you like your blends filtered by component volatility? so what

Heavy mint (and mint like things) makes me queasy I tried in on my skin because I like violet and in the imp I could pick up some of the violet and the feel of Violet Ray. The throw is nice-- a true mix of biting mints and sugared violets. I just can't rock this is all!

Definitely smells like Hawaiian Punch with cream in the bottle The milk is very prominent when first applied, with lots of crisp sweet berries and the lab's snow note. The beeswax starts to heat up and I love that I do wish the blackberries were more present/actually smelled like true blackberry (it smells like generic "berry" to me..). However.. I don't have many berry blends, and this one fills that void nicely. Very pleasant

This disappeared on my skin within 5 minutes. I agree with someones comment above that it smells like Embalming Fluid when first applied. Drying (and fading) its warm powdery flowers and ginger (not super spicy cause I HATE ginger spice smell, more like ginger flowers) If only it lasted!

Super strong hemp when it first goes on.. it reminds me of when I used to make hemp cord bracelets and necklaces in middle school It's really dry-- almost smells like hot dry wood. Maybe thats the patchouli? The vanilla is sooo good and becomes stronger with time. YUM! its too bad it was such a hassle to get a bottle!

A fuzzy brown honey-dusted musk covering freshly-washed baby skin and a howl of milk breath. In the background, there's the barest hint of upturned soil and dew-covered squished stems from a trampled flowerbed. Wow Cinnamon and sour milk? I definitely get the Burt's Bees comparison. I'm getting loads of spice from this and a lot of that sour honey note I'm not too keen on.. the cinnamon is totally unexpected! Thankfully the milk dies back with time and it's a really really nice blend.. a milky skin scent with a hint of spice. Unobtrusive and comfy. I never get any soil/green stems. It's super light, pretty much no throw-- makes me think it'd be good for those days you "shouldn't" wear a scent, or when you aren't feeling really well but still want to smell every so slightly better than naked unBPALed you haha

I get what some are staying about this feeling a little disconnected.. The lilac is a little sharp compared to the creamy note. The initial throw (and BOY is there ever throw!) is indeed screaming lilac. But I love lilac As the cream note morphs to more of a vanilla note it becomes just goooorgeous. I'm interested to see how this changes through the day when I give it a full day wear test.
