    Eclipse

Swap test! Smell alike: Frangipani! Color impression: Golden light brown On me: Yummmy! Not as foody as I feared and hopefully the frankincense stays quiet in the back! It’s a sweetly bright scent, not especially sugary just… very warm and comforting! Wearing: Light for everday wear, perfect too get warm even on winter time! Bottle pleaseeeee

    Hellfire

Swap test! Smell alike: A spicier Highwayman Color impression: wild fawn On me: Ouch… I am started to think that the lab leather note doesn’t really likes me =/ It goes all screaming on my skin, leaving no room for the others. Too bad, because the faint accents I get for the musk working with the spice (tobacco) is really nice Wearing: Too manly for me, I prefer rounder, brighter scents

    Cairo

Swap test! Smell alike: Turpentine oil Color impression: sticky bright green On me: Irk! It’s a fresh incense scent, not powdery as it usually goes on me… But I would have preferred powder: this scent is awfully chemical after a few minutes Wearing: god NO!

    Caliban

Swap test! Smell alike: It exactly the smell that was lingering in my aunt house: too many plants and too much fertilizer ôO Color impression: smothering deep and brilliant green-blue On me: A real marine scent. I can’t really say more because, well I not so fond of those ones and they quickly make me sick ^^; Wearing: It’s really not me so I am not the best judge!

    The Deep Ones

Swap test! Smell alike: Lime and tequila? Color impression: light greyish foam and bright green On me: I am pleasantly surprised by this one. I thought it would be a dark scent but in fact, I get a fresh green grass and lemony scent, profound and complex thanks to something salty lingering in the background (I also suspect grapefruit action but I can't really smell it) Wearing: Not for me but I’d like to try it on some man :3

    Bon Vivant

Swap test! Smell alike: Frozen strawberries we put in the champagne as ice-cubes for birthdays and special occasions Color impression: golden strawberry red On me: God, smelled like champagne! I would even say: I smelled like a kir royal This blend is really well-done and true to its name Wearing: No as a perfume but this fragrance was an interesting experience ^^

    Bess

    Swap test! Smell alike: My kitchen environment-friendly soap Color impression: clean yellow On me: Ok, I’ve just discovered that the combo rosemary/mint is a big no-no: I smelled like a dish-soap (a nice one that’s it, but still a soap ) Wearing: … sorry but no really ^^;

    Alecto

Swap test! Smell alike: Old polished wood Color impression: Smooth rosewood On me: Huuum, this scent reminds me the product we use with my mother when we give second life to antics furniture! The blend really has linen oil accents (and I love this!) Wearing: The cedarwood always makes me think of men fragrances. I will probably not wear this one myself (even if raspberry sweetened it nicely) but I really, really like it!

    A Countenance Forboding Evil

Swap test! Smell alike: Gasoil and alcohol! Color impression: Sticky black On me: Agrh!!! Vade retro!!!!! Something in this one *deeply* hates me… I suspect patchouli Wearing: To this day the worst bpal scent I ever smelled

    The Apothecary

Swap test! Smell alike: Kenzo pluie d’été ? Color impression: Chilly yellow and fresh blue green On me: fresh green tea attack! Very pleasant because the fig sweetened the herbs and moss (I discovered I loved this note!). Too bad it didn’t stay long and that the final scent is a too powdery in the back for my liking Wearing: A bit too soapy on my skin, not really me at all but this one will make a really nice summer/spring scent
  11. cymbeline

    Kyoto

Smell alike: A white *Kabuki* Color impression: brilliant soft green and pure pale pink On me: This one is the “spring-cleaned” cousin of Kabuki. On my skin, it’s just star anise and pristine sandalwood (I don’t get the warm back notes I loved in Kabuki). It really makes me think of a Hanami stroll on a bright, very bright spring sunny day. Wearing: Not for me but this cheerful blend will do the trick for everyday wear (as long as you love punchy star anise!)

    Tisiphone

    One of my frimps! Smell alike: It reminds me the feeling you have when walking on damp forests soils. Color impression: Dark misty green On me: Irkkk _o_ I don’t like it and I think it’s reciprocal: Patchouli Vade Retro !!! Actually, I had nice expectations for this one (I love Ylang-ylang) but it ended all soapy patchouli on my skin. Wearing: Smelled in the imp, it’s a fragrance light enough for everyday wear (even if shadowy sexy). But not for me thanks ^^;

    Tzadikim Nistarim

One of my frimps! Smell alike: It’s quite close of the powdery scent I smelled in some antiquarian shops (in particular clothes one) Color impression: Fading orange and verdigris On me: I also got the melon-like note others have stressed. But this fruity scent isn’t really strong or overwhelming. Soon, it shifted to a rounder and softer fragrance with frankincense and olive standing out strongly. Wearing: A comforting, sweet scent. I don’t see myself wearing it as a perfume (even if it’s light -yet smart- enough for an everyday use) but it’s gonna be a nice room/linen fragrance.

    Lightning

One of my frimps ! Smell alike: Omg! It’s the "blue" cousin of the essential oils blend I use to fight my migraines! Color impression: Ethereal pale blue and vivid white On me: My mind cannot associate this scent with the perfume category. It’s not really pleasant or bad, just a clean (yet un-soapy) and pure scent, very gender neutral. True to its name, it’s an amazing dash of white clearing your mind (and sinus ) Wearing: I glad I had this one as a freeby. I usually deeply hate marine/ozone notes in fragrances. But, in this case, it’s so close to my miracle medicine blend that I think I am gonna use this one to sooth me too!

    Zorya

Smell alike: well, toilets deodorisant? (All my deepest apologies to bpal creator!) Color impression: ozone blue and bitter powdery grey On me: Aaarg, I thought this fragrance will be a less carefree “Cordelia”. Wrong. On my skin, it’s just cheap, cheap cologne. Moreover, in the background, I get a faint bitter scent as if something was rotting Aaarg bis. Wearing: Two letters: N. O. (I guess I will try this one another time later in the month -if I am brave enough again ^^; My skin chemistry must be really messed up, usually my skin just loves jasmine and spices )

    Casanova

Smell alike: Well I lack references concerning men’s perfumes ^^; But as it had been said, this is really a gentleman fragrance, sharp yet very sophisticated Color impression: Fresh then velvet green On me: I was hoping for a more aggressive scent (lavender + citrus = ) but I ended loving this blend. It started all punchy daredevil then got rounder thanks to the musk and the tonka. Yet, this fragrance keeps being quite cynical overall (I think because of the anise spicing up the lingering leather) Wearing: I don’t think I’ll end up wearing this one myself because it’s definitely a man scent (and a smart one I'd say!). But I am gonna strongly push mine toward it

    Kitsune-Tsuki

Smell alike: In the imp, it has some Lolita Lempicka accents -but I don’t get the particular licorice scent once on my skin (Hopefully x3) Color impression: Joyful plum purple and shiny white On me: No malevolent at all! It’s more a playful scent, only profound and bit mystic in the background (thanks to the plum? The orchid?). The head note is sweet yet really witty and -thanks God!- the jasmine stays quite tuned and doesn’t stand out to ruin the whole thing! Wearing: I think this fragrance his light enough for everyday wear but will also easily accommodate an evening carefree seduction For me, this is the purple-fruity brother of Aizen-Myoo: bottle please!
  18. cymbeline

    Cordelia

Smell alike: A less sweetened Lacoste for Women? (or other sporty feminine scents of this kind) Color impression: lively green and white dashes On me: A very joyful and bright tone. No roundness or wicked seduction here: this is a frank and honest scent. My skin turned it too aquatic on the edge for my liking (a bit like the smell young grass takes after the rain) but it still stays pleasant. Nonetheless, I am quite disappointed : musk and cedar, where are you ?! Wearing: Totally a spring fragrance. It’s really the kind of stuff I could wear when needing something feminine but not too sophisticated (I can help thinking of sports or open-air activities). Too bad those kinds of perfume just don’t last on me :/
  19. cymbeline

    Aizen-Myoo

Smell alike: My dear, dear Kenzo Jungle le Tigre now sadly discontinued *insert a lot of tears*. On me, the back note of Aizen is just slightly different (less green and spicy) Color impression: warm saffron, deep shiny green, then soft bark On me: My skin chemistry loves this one so much! It makes me think of a curious and fluffy baby tiger: citrus punchy yet so soft. Once settled, it gets a very sexy round and sweetened base. I can’t sniff the back tea but I guess it’s the one spicing up the cherry note and screaming *cuddle me* in the background! Wearing: Every day, every time, everywhere (ok I may be a bit biased as this scent is just sooo me!). That’s THE big hit of my first Bpal invoice: hail to the bottle!

    Kabuki

Ah ah, here is the wicked one that leaked a little in my package Smell alike: ??? Color impression: Bright punchy chartreuse green, tempered then by powdery white and hushed pink On me: Ok, first, I have been quite frightened when the samourai star anise just started howling “banzai” all over my skin Hopefully, once dry, the whole scent became softer (Hi cherry !) and far more complex. This one is quite alike Kyoto but far more wearable for me (It is a warmer and rounder scent) thanks to my beloved red musk :3 Wearing: Everyday because of its subtle and really smart feeling (Bottle if my bank account stays nice with me)

    Moscow

Smell alike: Chanel n°5 ! Color impression: Glorious white On me: Complex powdery white floral all over. I thought tangerine and bergamot would be stronger: sadly, they were overwhelmed by rose and jasmine. It’s really a N°5 scent -just a bit less vanilla-sweet oriented in the background. Wearing: It gets all soapy on me. But, I guess my mother -Chanel 5 lover!- is gonna quickly put her hands on this one !

    Hell's Belle

Smell alike: ??? Color impression: purple satin and pearls On me: A very mature scent, I simply cannot imagine a young girl wearing that on an everyday basis! On my skin, it’s just an explosion of luscious white floral wicked by a spicy (and only a tiny tiny bit citrusy) cocktail in the background. It also makes me think of a tamed and less smoky “Opium Poppy” Wearing: Definitely an evening scent able to make you feel bold. I would also probably wear this one to feel confident on an important day! Add on: After a while (2h), the fragrance had really become different: sweeter (I get a vanilla note), quietly seductive (hey musk, I know it’s you!), it was in fact a far less scandalous scent. I think I am going to test this one again and again to know if it worth a bottle ^^

    Baghdad

Smell alike: ??? It has Chanel n°5 accents but not as much as “Moscow”. It also reminds me another fragrance, I just cannot put my finger on the name ! Color impression: powdery beige On me: Floral attack ! Citrus quickly disappeared : in the end it was just soft roses and round, powdery spices in the background. It just reminds me my grandmother’s house -that’s strange ^^; Wearing: Not as a perfume but I think I am gonna use my imp as comforting linen scent…
  24. cymbeline

    Opium Poppy

Smell alike: Y. St Laurent Opium (or any other strong smoky fragrance like Guerlain’s Shalimar) Color impression: velvet and deep regal red On me: Not a sleepy scent at all in my case. It has this smoky feeling that suggests dim rooms full of languid opium smokers. But it also bears this lady-like note, hushed yet still very screaming for attention in the background. Wearing: According to me, that’s a quite demanding scent. Not for everyday, but it will do the trick with a black dress and diamonds! (well, let’s just say with any sexy AND affordable evening gear )
  25. cymbeline

    Highwayman

Smell alike: Bourbon? Smoky Whisky? Color impression: Peat greenish brown On me: Rough leather! This fragrance is so far the closest to its name: it’s really a deep, muddy scent, a bit overwhelming first then warm and self-assumed. It reminds me old inns/farms and their cozy atmospheres with fireplaces, hunting dogs and the lingering smell a good alcohol on your special someone’s lips. Wearing: A big no no for me. But, even if I prefer flirty man scents, I would probably not say no if my beloved would like to wear this one!
