In the bottle: Sugar cologne On me: Flowers in a well-groomed garden and melting candy at midnight. Later: If cotton candy could be spun out of booze... The dark elements to this don't work on me. It reminds me of old lady perfume, if the old lady were suddenly transformed into a young woman.... and coated with booze and candy. Boy, my reviews make no sense.

In the Bottle: Rum, rum, get your rum On me: Butterscotch and flowers Later: Muted flowers and sugar It's pleasant, but I was overhyped. It's not the dream BPAL I was hoping for.

In the bottle: Lemony men's cologne with smoky orange vanilla coming through On my skin: Orange sugar cologne, with the orange popping out like a candy. Later: Still very masculine and getting more lemony I like the smell, but I don't want to smell like it.

In the bottle: dandelions and black pepper On my skin: The above and also a masculine aquatic smell Later: When I first tried this, I put too much on and it made my nose itch and seemed floral. Upon the second testing (in which I used a smaller dab) it's aquatic and peppery, and salty. Verdict: I don't know. I don't love it, so probably it goes to the swap pile. But it is mysterious and murky, the way I'd imagine Neptune to smell.

It seems like every time I get a bottle of something, I fall so in love with it that I totally forget I should review it. Maybe it's my subconscious not wanting to give things a good review because then others will be tempted to love it and it will be harder for me to get, particularly since this is an LE. In the vial: Just as the description says, blackberry and red velvet cake on me: red velvet cake, creamy buttercream frosting, and all sorts of dark, ripe berries. later: It makes me smell like cake, deepened by something that makes it smell gorgeous specifically, not just I-only-just-now-stepped-out-of-the-bakery good. It's a little more sophisticated than that.

Make sure you wait for the drydown on this one; it did almost a 180 on me. in the bottle: sour cherry wine with grenadine poured over it and rubbing alcohol added on me: Sweet natural cherries and creamy yogurt dry (after at least ten minutes): Monsterbait: Closet but with cherries instead.. plus something like fresh blood. It is a sinister scent. Almost like a demon's interpretation of what sweet and creamy is.

So I was just comparing Tokyo Stomp to Lick it Again and then discovered I had not yet reviewed L.I.A. Blasphemy! In the bottle: Chilly, snowy, sharp peppermint on me: nose-clearing, cheek-chilling, sugar-painted peppermint later: A snowy, peppermint gust of wind, going straight into the soul. It smells cold, somehow.

In the bottle: Lick it again with frosting. On me: Whereas Lick it Again is a cold white mint on me, Tokyo Stomp is a bold, lush, green mint on me. Swampy and trompy and fresh-cut-mint-sprigs on vanilla ice cream with a touch of chocolate. On the dry down: The ever-popular description of 'thin mints' is VERY apt. Also, do the baits share the same base oils? This is very reminiscent of Underbed on me, except instead of cassia, I get the mint, naturally. Later: Powdered chocolate cookies ringed with sharp sprigs of mint. Thin mints. Creamy vanilla. It's gorgeous. I like Lick it Again too, but I think Tokyo beats it down. However, I think I may wear them together to see if they amp things up, as the throw of this isn't too good on my skin, although excellent in my hair. Woot.

I first got a whiff of this at a Meet 'n Sniff back in November, 2006. It stayed lodged in my memory and I ended up getting a bottle on eBay a few months ago. Glitter is the perfect name for this. It is reminiscent of Jerome Russell roll-on glitter that was all the rage when I was beginning the 6th grade. Except that it doesn't smell synthetic to me. White grapes and white pear and something else. Very fresh, although on the dry down it becomes incensey. Less so if I apply it into my hair. It is a nostalgic scent, reminding me of first kisses and the fun of wearing glitter every day, which once the trend ended, I did not continue in high school. This remains pretty true all throughout, although, like I said, it gets an incensey undertone to it on the dry down. All together lovely. I am so pleased to have a bottle of this.

in the vial: smoky sweet richness wet: like woodsmoke and honey later: All of these things plus a tangy spiciness. Very grounded yet somehow mysterious scent.

in the vial: Trident bubblegum and orange slices later: bubblegum and cinnamon much later: only a cinnamon sweetness. Cinnamon always takes over on me. Almost always.

I let this age a couple of months before testing. I wanted to let it age much longer, but didn't have the patience. I was desperate to TRY it. in the vial: honeyed vanilla poison on me: Bailey's Irish creme, amaretto, and fruit OMG, this is this dulce de leche Spanish ice cream dessert I had on the Balcon de Europa a few years ago. With a side of fruit. I was testing a lot of oils today so the only free spot I put this on was on my knee. My boyflame kept looking at me funny because I kept lifting my knee to my face. Instant BOTTLE.

in the vial: I don't what this is but it's lovely... sharp flower, spicy fruit? on me: fruit, herbs, cinnamon later: mmm, peppery sweetness Also reminds me of my mom cooking in the kitchen for some reason.

in the vial: penny candy, stick candy, tutti fruitti candy on me: reminds me of something... a candle? A bath product? Mmm almond. later: I just figured out that this is reminiscent of Sweet Melissa's "snow" much later: vanilla yogurt and flowers

in the vial: cold milk on me: pepper, someting sweet like sweat but not gross. Kind of like sex and maple syrup later: brown sugar rice pudding, oatmeal, cinnamon, and syrup Interesting.

in the vial: minty flowers on me: weird, ketchup... later: sterile blood, tomato, flowers much later: sun-dried laundry This is soooo weird.

in the vial: figs, clay, and flowers. I'm getting that Burt's Bees baby lotion vibe as well, the one someone mentioned above on me: not a stand out scent, the fig is quiet and a vague breath of evergreen later: becomes a little more rich, but still figgy clay

in the vial: eucalyptus and cedar on me: cedar chips, menthol consideration: great for sinus/head trouble not as a perfume Useful rather than smell-worthy, I may keep it as part of my aromatherapy arsenal.

in the vial: kiwi and apple on me: a little like Hesperides with a green apple later: green apple basic. Imp worthy, bottle consideration. Rounded sweet apple. The rounding scents are not identifiable to me, just seem to be part of that green apple.

in the vial: clean aquatic, linen-esque scent on me: flowery perfume, but cool and gentle, with gentle rain in the background later: like nature's baby oil, very lovely and pleasant although not my personal style.

in the vial: palelemon and high-in-the-sky sunshine on me: most realistic lemon scent ever later: essence of bright sunshine, sharp, not sweet really, but rather pure

in the vial: peach, apricot delight on me: gentle fruit, spring breeze peach So I don't get the cranberry. It's a ripe round water-filled fruit with sunny air flowing around it. Hmm.

in the vial: nuts and various fruits on a bed of faint flowers on me: nuts and blood.... later: itchy flowers and all of the above

in the vial: cinnamon and hot flowers on me later: cinnamon and booze Does not inspire me.
