Ok, Disclaimer is that I have not tried many of these oils, I'm just going with their description from the website. Garnet corresponds with Swallow's Blood - "this formula is used to attract good fortune, peace of mind, safety and speed to travelers." which is very close to the stone's reported properties of attracting luck and safety to travellers. Rose quartz is supposed to be the "stone of the heart" and to mend broken hearts and that corresponds to Dove's Heart - "a gentle, healing love blend, often used to help mend a broker heart. Brings peace of mind, soothes the sting of loss, and aids in finding closure". Citrines - a yellow stone that I identify with courage and strengh and light. Corresponds with Aureus "True, perfect golden light, refined into a incomparably glorious scent." Diamond - Glitter "all flash and glam: White wine, heliotrope, d'Anjour pear, and lotus" I had in mind a "sparkling" scent - very clean, but effervanscent. Amethyst - a stone for claiming and cooling of the head - Pain which has lavendar (for the calming) and pennyroyal (which smells like mint for the coolness). Peridot - supposedly helps with psychic visions and/or intuition which I hear sage is good for... so anything with sage in it? I think one of the new scents might be for this too... Checked on the site: Blue moon. Has scents to increase divination through dreams, to increase psychic powers and for wisdom. Sadly a limited edition. That's all for now. I'll be reviewing the list more later. Just somet hings I thought of since the gemstones thread. (Of course I'd respond to this one too!lol)

Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils
Pauline replied to friendthegirl's topic in BPAL FAQs
Yes, maybe there is a 'secret' ingredient that you may be allergic to... Or maybe what it is that the imps are too concentrated for you and causing a bit of a reaction. Maybe you can try diluting the perfumes in a drop or two of carrier oil first and see if you get the same reaction. If nothing works, email Beth about it and maybe she can shed some light into what might be causing this. (BTW: Welcome to the board!) -
No, it's same as Western Europe. So $9 flat rate and follow the chart from then on. Thank you for bringing it up. Nella Thanks for clarifying! Am so excited that I can still get my fix while abroad! Yay yay yay!!!

What I'd really like is to fit my 5ml bottles (not received yet) with little tester/applicator wands, the ones that fit inside the cap...It's like the ones for essential oil testers at the store. I don't find that reducers work for me. I have reducers for other essential oils and you have to shake it really hard sometimes and then a whole bunch comes out etc etc. Anyone know where I might be able to find something like this?

Can you/Do you ship to Far East Asia? Taiwan specifically? I'm moving there in 2 months and I am wondering if I can still order. If yes, how much would the shipping be? Same as Australia?

Yes, I do believe it is best to inquire about this possibility via email to the lab. While Beth and Co do check the forum regularly, there is no guarantee that they would come on if they are very busy and/or they will see this thread. So just drop them an email and someone will get back to you. Welcome to the forum! These oils are so great, in a perfect world, they would be more readily available.

If you can prove that the goods are worth less than what they assessed, can you get some of that money back? I'm really getting worried - my latest orders have been quite large. I hope customs don't assess the value to be very high.

I'm in Canada (eastern part). I'm going to ask a couple of friends who are also BPAL friends if they are ordering and if they might order for me. I'll only bother you sweet people if I'm desperate.

I'm sure one of us can forward an email or order for you, if necessary hun. *sniffs - wipe away tear* You guys are so great. I can't believe that nice people still exists. (Pst... I signed up for Paypal this afternoon so I would be able to forward the money in advance if need be)

Wow, that is great news, you two. I love it when great people who create great products team up. More power to you both. I don't think it matters which scents you come out with first, they are all going to be bestsellers, especially on the forum! I don't like Lavendar scents, plus, Lavendar soap is so "been there, done that". But that is just my 2 cents. The really popular scents should be first... like Snake Oil, Queen Mab, Dana O'Shee. Oh and of course the signature scent: Black Phoenix! And if I can put in a plug for Malediction or Umbra - I've been very sad about Lush discontinuing Middle Earth and I need to keep my boy smelling sexy.

I really liked this one. The lilies were not overpowering, the cherry was not overpowering. In fact, nothing about this scent is overpowering as I would have expected from the name. Definitely not an 'off with her head' type. On me, the cherry was evident, but not very sweet. It just soften the floral and added innocence. While not overpowering, it was not a push over either. It is regal... as a woman who draws herself up high, walks with her head up and back straight. An independent woman. But there is something mischivious about this scent. I think it's unexpected red cherry...it's playful. It's a flirt. With the floral and the strength behind it though... I'm thinking Queen of Hearts as in "Heartbreaker". I'm getting a 5ml bottle in my next order.

I love shea oil. The one that I got from ASBC is really light, easily absorbed (which might actually help the scent linger), almost no smell. (it might be just me, but I detect the slightest... clean/mint smell, but my nose really had to 'pull' to get it) It is not viscose (sp?) at all, so I assume that it will not hinder any movement if you decided to use it with a roller ball applicator. I'm interesting in Jojoba oil as well. But I don't know much about it. It's a wax so it will not spoil easily which is good cus you don't want to waste any of the precious BPAL oils.

They are indeed pure essential oils, no base/carrier oils added. But they do carry the base oils for you to purchase.

Ummm do you think I might be a "problem order" (ie being one of the "lost" deliveries)? my credit card was charge on April 1st. Now it's closing in on May 1st.... I thought the 2-3 week delay was once my card was charged, not before. Or is it because I'm in Canada?

Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)
Pauline replied to Vanilla's topic in Recommendations
While we are on this topic... does anyone know what scent is most like Uluru? I think I am going to have to pick up both Malediction and Umbra for my BF, as he loves the scent of Middle Earth.
