Hi! Here are some GC (including salon) scents that remind me of some of those you've tried. (They're not all meadow scents, but they all have something in common with the scents you like.) What was so neat about Fairy Market is that it had a coolness *and* a sunny-ness, and most scents have just one or the other. (I haven't tried Passionate Shepherd, so I can't do comparisons there.) I totally feel for you - there's nothing like Fairy Market, is there? Mag Mell - zingy, golden 51 - Did you ever try this? What did you think? Machu Picchu - Golden and floral, but with the addition of lush fruity-ness. Not necessarily a meadow scent, but in a similar family to Fairy Market. All in the golden afternoon - golden (though not grassy), also with a zingy-ness Hermia - golden, smooth (not grassy) Pepper - golden and lightly floral (not grassy) Night-Gaunt - sunny and floral (not grassy). Sounds like it wouldn't be all that good, but it's way better than expected, and it has a sweetness to it that is somewhat like the sweetness of Fairy Market, though less outright sugary. Rosalind - I *love* Rosalind, and it just doesn't last on me at all. But you should try it! Dorian - Okay, this is not meadowy at ALL (lol) but it does have that extremely-elusive sugar note; one of the few scents in the GC with sugar. Fairy Market is like a floral-sweet Dorian, actually, as I sit here & compare them side by side - it's surprising how similar the sugar note is. Another GC with sugar is High Strung Daisies, which is all floral-sweet. Wonder what would happen if you layered Dorian & High Strung Daisies, or Dorian with something else? Salons (so, not impable, but not LE either): Death & Life Completed - Has some of the perfumey-ness that Fairy Market has, but is like the late summer or autumn version where Fairy Market is the spring version. Orpheus - Green and grassy and fresh, though not floral or nearly as sweet as Fairy Market Sunflower - Another late-summer to Fairy Market's springtime. Garden Path with Chickens - Very grassy! You might wish to try Litha if it comes back; it doesn't have the sugar note that Fairy Market has but it's very nice. (Also, Enchanted Wood Florist went too sweet on me too! )

This is so pretty! Wet: citrusy and lightly floral in a good way, not in any of the typical "dreaded florals" way, and not like the usual "white florals". After it has a chance to settle - Citrusy and perhaps even resin-y? This stays surprisingly good. It holds up pretty well over the day. It's particularly unexpected here, because such light notes typically fade on me and leave nothing remarkable. This time, they have settled back into what is still a very pretty, golden scent on my skin. Nice! Night-Gaunt is definitely a top-quality scent, from the very first moment on, until the end of the day. Comparisons to other scents: It doesn't really seem snowy to me (as other reviewers had said), but it does remind me of Manhattan, which in turn reminds me of Cloister Graveyard in the Snow, so I can see a relationship there. It's fruitier & sweeter / more carefree than Manhattan. And, it's not really like Mag Mell (especially since MM has a vanilla note that is not present in N-G), but it is in the same light-bright-golden family.

It seems like the rosewater smells like a lightly-scented smooth rose scent, correct? You might try Lucy's Kiss, Seraglio, maybe Jezebel, maybe even Alice. There are so many rose scents out there! (There are also a couple scents with rosewater listed as a note, but there's so much else going on in those that it seems certain that rosewater is not the main scent.)

I can't believe how awesome this is on me. Slightly sweet, cinnamony-woodsiness, warm, and amazing.

Oh, Hamadryad. The good version is so good, and the wintergreen version is so wintergreen. I'm doing a test to see how long it takes the wintergreen to burn off. Applied at: 1:18 pm Next check: 1:27 pm - still wintergreen Check (including dh opinion): 1:50 pm - wintergreen is gone! yay! So, half an hour or less. Maybe if I put it on just before brushing my teeth, then before anyone else smelled it on me, it would be fine?

This really is a morpher, which I guess makes sense! In the bottle: Herbal, smells like how the TALs are sometimes medicinal-herbal since they're blended for function not scent - it's the brittle and lunar part, perhaps the pine. Wet on my skin: Hm, herbs are gone and it starts to smell more like fruits (I'll admit that I, too, would have guessed peaches and not berries) Dry: Interesting enough, hard to describe mixture of lots of things. Not floral at all. Hours later: OMG, what smells so good.... oh, it's ME! This has become the most glorious lightly spicy oriental type scent. It's hard to pick out any notes, so I'm not sure what's causing this wonderful blend on my skin - probably the peppercorn, myrrh, and perhaps the patchouli (maybe), backed by everything else. Absolutely gorgeous.

Wow, this is so much more different and way lighter than I expected that I had to re-try it again on a different day without my preconceived notions. I don't get any amber, patchouli, leather, or dark musk. What I get instead is a tart sweetness with what is probably white musk and/or a sugar note. It reminds me most of my memory of Zephyr, though with slightly more oomph, a tinge of spice that is probably coming from the hint of petitgrain, plus a tinge of tartness from the rhubarb & sweetness which might be from the apple blossom. It is really pretty, and I wonder if aging it will give it even more oomph.

I totally love these scents that have this kind of high-pitched awesomeness to them, like The Torture Queen. First on, this does not disappoint. Yay! (It's the kind of scent that some bpallers may find too perfumey or cologne-y; I have learned that I LOVE it.) I'm excited to see how this wears throughout the day. Because unfortunately for me and The Torture Queen, TTQ does not seem to have any base notes grounding it at all on my skin, so it seems kind of thin several hours later. This, on the other hand, seems like it may hang in there with some grounded-ness, perhaps from the oak. I certainly didn't expect this to be my fave out of the Last Unicorn pack, but it very well might be! ETA: Okay, now I know what it reminds me of. You know how the first review of Dorian talks about "...as soon as the maid serving the tea is gone, this proper Victoran gentleman f***s you six ways from Sunday..." (No, I don't go around memorizing reviews, but that one was, um, memorable.) Well, I always felt like Dorian was a little sweet and vanilla (delicious though it is) for that image. The Ninth Cage, though, is edgy enough to do it.

In the bottle: Ooo, yay! Another wonderful "snow" scent! On me: This is just the kind of wintery scent I adore! I chanced upon the "snow" scents last year, with Snow Maiden and The First Soft Snow, and I just fell in love. This is another in that vein, with perhaps lightly less sweetness and more ozoney-ness as it dries, more gender-neutral. (And for newer readers who feel this review is less than helpful, I know, I know, and I completely understand and apologize, but I cannot explain this scent to anyone. It is not mint, or pine, or ozone, or menthol, or vanilla, or any one thing that I can describe in words. You just need to try it.)

In the bottle: Foody, cake, nuts On me: Hm, I'm not getting the non-food scents (pine, holly, berries) here. What I get is maple-y foodiness and spice, with nuts in the background. Smells like one of those warm delectable foody scents that will be super-popular and somehow just never work for me personally!

French vanilla, red currant, sage, balsam, rosewood, mandarin, lemon peel, pomegranate, and cedar. In the bottle: Bitter-orange marmalade (like seville orange, not like the marmalade ends up actually bitter, if you know what I mean.) On my skin: I was a bit nervous at first, because it's a bit potpourri when first on, with the citrus fruits and herbal-ness (from the sage). I need not have worried, though! After a few minutes, it all settles down, and the vanilla warms it up a lot and brings everything together. It's like being in a house that has herbs & orange-slices drying hanging from the rafters, and maybe a big red bowl of holiday punch on the table, ready for all to grab a cup. I don't really get cedar here at all; it must just be rounding out the scent.

In the bottle: A paradox - it smells of something sweet-berry and something dry-dusty, at the same time. On me: Kind of too-boisterous at first - (Fruit! Grapes! Something randomly dry!) - but this thankfully all passes very quickly. It settles into what must be a dusky orange-blossom, sweetened by vanilla and tea, and backed by the barest lightest sandalwood. It is somehow both deeper and brighter, in various ways, than I had expected, which is amazingly evocative, if you think about it, given its name "Changing the Shadows". How neat!

When wet: Vanilla cake On my skin: Getting less cakey & more lemony. It's really a nice scent, comforting and warm. While it may be a bit too foody for non-foody me, it's definitely lovely!

While wet: Dry old cut wood On my skin: Woods and maybe some nuttiness. (Okay, I didn't read the note list as I was trying it, and apparently the suggestion of the name "The Nutcracker" let me to think that nuts could be involved. Am I just very suggestible? Not sure...I'm glad that at least one other person above mentioned a slight foodiness, so I'm not the only one! It's definitely more "nutty" than fruity; I don't think I get fig out to of this blend.)

This is a really nice masculine leather-tonka blend. Not overly vetiver at all, it's just adding some depth. I wish that I got more oakmoss here, because that's a note I truly adore, but then again it's probably to any scent's credit that I'm not saying "Hey! Oakmoss!" In the end, while I think it might be a bit too masculine/leather for me, I can see it being fantastic on the right person. Lovers of leather should definitely check it out.

At first, woodsy, teak. Over time, sweeter, and then something wonderful and almost-cologny that you can only smell in the air, not when you lean in closer to sniff it. Sweeter than you'd think, like dried figs or dates. Gender-neutral. I'm not really getting cacao here which is great for me, because I don't like to smell like chocolate. This has the lovely fall-leaves scent to it that I get from Gomorrah, with a bit more spice or oomph to it. Really nice!

In the bottle: Sweetly fruity and pretty First on: The light musk keeps this from being candy-like. (On me, at least! I'm surprised that other people find it so candy-like; I'm not getting that from it.) Surprisingly well-balanced and not overly little-girly for something with "fairy" in the name. After an hour: Yes, mostly light plum and hint of apricot over a base of very light musk. I don't get anything floral or cocoa; on me I think those notes are just adding to the soft roundness of the scent.

This is really beautiful, and I just wanted to share that if you *don't* like Alice (as I do not), you could still give it a try - I *do* like this! It has the lovely carnation note that I also have gotten in Maiden, a tinge of orange, and a really great sugar-sweetened warmth to it. Also, I tend to amp rose, and I don't get it here, or it stays in line, or something. Really liking it and debating a bottle. Beautiful!

There's something here that reminds me of the warm sweetness of rosewood. Blue night-time florals -- without jasmine & without white florals for once. Really nice. Manages to be kind of warm and also kind of night-time-cool-lavender-blue, at the same time. I don't get any fruitiness. It evokes very very much the color and beauty of wisteria- delicate flowers cascading from strong ancient vines. I think it's perfect for its scene in the Nutcracker, as the magical dream fades away in a hazy confusion.* *ETA: Just realized that the clock strikes midnight early in the production, not near the end - the scent reminds me more of the music near the end. The music when the clock is striking midnight is not nearly as magical, and I think that the scent evokes a certain magic.

I love it too! I can see I'm in good company. The first thing I wrote in my review was an ecstatic "Oh, man... super-yummy." I was also a huge fan of Angel (still am, actually, truth be told), but there's something in it that my dh can't handle (tickles the back of his nose non-stop). Searching for replacements was what got me into bpal, actually. ANYWAY, yes, I see the Angel connection, and YUM. It's very close to what I always wanted Xiuhectuhtli to be like on me too, and X always was a little too sweetly sharp and high-pitched on me - almost perfect but not quite right. It has something in common with Antikythera Mechanism, too, though of course A.M. is more woodsy/masculine. And this is a lighter scent, not as overpowering as A.M. and X both can be on me. I love A.M. in theory, but it always seems like it's wearing *me*, you know? Comparisons aside, what is it like? I get a sweet-orange tinge, lovely round warm vanilla, nothing overtly floral, just fantastic. It makes me happy.

This is definitely evocative of the woods in winter. I agree, I don't get the scent of pine / fir sticking out, it's more like when you are really out in the woods on a slushy trail. And, oh, man! I love ALL of the listed notes, yet I am getting some dirt/soil scent here, which is a no-go for me even though I know others love it. Along with a great blend of foresty tree-scents, it seems like there may be something aquatic or ozoney that make this REALLY seem exactly like being outdoors on a slushy day, exactly that scent in the air. If I wasn't getting some type of dirt-soil note, I would be all over this! I hope the right people find it and love it, because it's really amazing!
