    Aphrodite v4

None of the Aphrodite prototypes have worked for me. I have trouble wearing florals and they all seem to be a mix of perfumey florals that go slightly soapy on my skin. v7 is probably the most intensely soapy and sharp, but this is a close second. v4 smells like perfumey, chemical-y white floral and a touch of green grass, rolled up into a bar of soap. I don't get the rose here that I got from v7, and this is a little softer overall, but still perfumey floral and soap... kinda reminds me of a sharp, soapy version of The Unicorn.

    Leather

A lot of my favorite leathery blends are LE or have been discontinued, but I definitely suggest trying The Red Rider. It's a strong, intense leather and it's available in the GC. The Black Rider and The White Rider are worth a try too. Of the ones you mentioned, I don't get a lot of leather from any of them, except for a soft tobacco and leather from Dee...
  3. Thanks for adding all of those up, Herb Girl . It's really interesting to see which ones got the most mentions. Eat Me, Depraved, and Voodoo are the strongest bpal oils on my skin (of the scents that I own and wear frequently). Eat Me and Depraved especially have crazy throw and people always notice them on me, even when I apply lightly.

Recs for Role-Playing Games (RPG), LARP and Cosplay

Cats always make me think of amber scents and warriors = metals for me. Yoruichi made me think of Witchblade (which has amber *and* metals). I could also see her smelling like The Black Tower or Tintagel...

    PW7

I don't get the minty snow feel from this. It's soapy aquatic with a sweet, lemon-y citrus freshness. It goes sharper in the drydown, but is mostly a clean, soapy aquatic smell...

    Ares v3

I like myth's description of "minty fresh ass" for this one, lol. This is pretty medicinal and harsh on me at first. I get the sharp menthol/eucalyptus and a high pitched, slightly powdery mint over something darker and a bit dirty and herbal smelling. The darker aspect turns sickly sweet on me in the drydown and I agree with the reviews saying it's probably dragon's blood. I get the sickly, rotten flowers smell that I often get from dragon's blood. It's interesting and doesn't smell terrible on me in the drydown, but it doesn't exactly smell good on me either (but I don't really care for menthol smells)...

    IXHV4

I really like this proto and wish that something similar were available. I find this more wearable than both Miskatonic U (which is super-sweet and boozy on me) and Bah (which is very dark and has gotten more bitter and sour on me with age). This is like walking past a cofee shop and smelling warm coffee, sugar, and hints of creamy goodness <3. It's a very warm and comforting scent that I'd like to have more of...

What Smells Similar To Kenneth Cole Rsvp?

I second the rec for Casanova, and he might also like Old Scratch, Wilde, and The Scales of Deprivation for men's cologne type scents with similar notes.

    Xmvlzencab Bath Oil

Using this in the shower as a leg moisturizer, it smells mostly like a perfumey, tropical floral honey with a little bit of spicy sharpness to it. It strikes me as a more fresh, perfumey honey than a sweet or foodie honey. It smells exotic and sexy rather than sweet, though it's not quite sweet enough for me. There's an edge of dark, woodsy something as well. After the shower, the bath oil leaves a light, perfumey honey scent on my skin as I rinse off. I only use these oils on my legs (or as a tiny dab on my wrists), or else they make my skin break out and my hair go super-greasy, but I love the light scent and sheen on my legs after a shower.

    Citadel of Awesome Atmosphere Spray

I thought that I would love this, but Lair of Nefarious Misdeeds is my winner of the C2E2 exclusive sprays. I love violet, neroli, and spun sugar notes, but this has an overall perfumey and slightly powdery feel to it that makes me think of a sweet, fruity-floral, generic perfume. The musk is clean, perfumey and reminiscent of dryer sheets, but a bit sharp to my nose. The other notes mix together in a fruity-floral, sweet, candied way with a powdery edge from the amber. The crystalline musk is a little too perfumey, sharp, and heavy for me... it smells like someone sprayed my house with cheap perfume rather than with a sugary room spray...

    Xmvlzencab Soap

This soap seems lightly scented to me, but it might just be because I only have a sample slice that someone was kind enough to send me. I get a faint, clean, floral honey and a hint of sharp spice, but mostly it's just a lightly honeyed smelling soap. It reminds me of Villainess's Killer Beez soap, but not quite as sweet. Lots of lather and leaves my skin feeling kinda dry after a shower, and doesn't leave any fragrance on my skin after I rinse off.

Midnight on the Midway Claw Polish

I've tried to wear this polish several times now and I'm never happy with the results . It's like a frosty, muted pinky-purple, which I guess isn't exactly my thing. But what really bothers me is the way the formula seems to settle in this streaky/ridged sort of way on my nails, which I've never had a polish do before. It never quite looks smooth on me, even with a good top coat. All in all, this one is too frosty and streaky for me... I usually wear red and gray/taupe shades (and the occasional sparkly purple, brown, or green), and this color just seems very blah to me (pretty in the bottle, though). With flash. Without flash.

    Embalming Fluid Soap

I didn't find this to be as strongly scented as the Snake Oil soap, but it's definitely stronger than my bar of Port Royal was. It has the smooth, cool, fresh scent of crisp, lemon-y green tea <3. My husband really likes citrus scents in the shower and has been using this soap a lot. I find most bar soaps to be drying on my skin, and this is drying as well, but nothing that my usual lotion can't take care of. I don't notice the scent lingering on my skin after I wash, but it's nice in the bath.

    Humanitas Bath Oil

Finally got around to trying my decant of this. I usually either apply small amounts of the bath oils to my wrists like a perfume oil or I rub them on to my legs in the shower. I find them a little too oily/greasy for the bath tub or rubbed directly on to my skin (turns my hair into a mess and breaks out the skin on my face, chest, and arms), but love them for an in-shower moisturizer on my legs. Anyhoo, I find this a little too sweet and fruity to use as a perfume. It's really cloying when I put it directly on to my skin. I used most of my decant up in the shower and I like the subtle scent that it leaves on my legs after I rinse off (light, sweet cherry-strawberry and a bit of a darker, slightly spicy feel from the carnation and frankincense). My husband really liked the scent that it left on me after a shower. I might need more of this one.

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

My husband actually wears Godfather Death, and it's a dark, resinous, woodsy, masculine rose.

Gourmand - Foody Scents - General Recommendations

I can't think of any bpal scents that have a strong brown sugar note specifically. You might want to try Kill-Devil, Gluttony, and Hellcat. They're not brown sugar, but they have a mix of other foodie notes that are reminiscent of brown sugar. Cockaigne has a very brown sugar type scent on my skin as well.

Recs for Role-Playing Games (RPG), LARP and Cosplay

It's been a while since I watched anything Buffy, but I could see Spike smelling like Dorian or something with a bit of leather in it, like The Bow & Crown of Conquest. And I think that Sara Pezzini or Liz could both do for Buffy, as they're like strong female scents with clean, feminine touches.

Aquatics - scents of the ocean, the sea

You can't get an imp of it from the lab unless you purchase a whole Salon pack, but if you get a chance or find it on the forums, I'd recommend trying Silence. It's a very blue, watery sort of scent to me. There are a lot of interesting aquatics in The Salon too (and some snow/ozone ones with a different sort of aquatic feel). Aquatics usually turn to soap on me, but I really like Sea of Glass (bright, smooth, sea green and blue feeling aquatic) and Bayou (swampy, mossy aquatic) of the ones that you have listed. If you're interested in purchasing Carnaval LEs, Banded Sea Snake is really nice too. And if you like coconut at all, I'd recommend Obatala for something a bit different with an aquatic edge.

    Philologus

I think that this smells like a clean laundry type of scent. It reminds me of clean clothes and dryer sheets. It's not really what I was expecting from the listed notes. I don't get anything like books, incense, leather or wax. My husband smelled this and just said that it smells clean and fresh to him. Not for us, unfortunately.

    Misericordia

I love Misericordia in the bottle, but the opoponax amps up and kills the other notes on my skin. In the bottle and on my skin at first, I get an herbal lavender, sweet & juicy black currant, and hints of resins. It's really pretty, and black currant is one of my favorite bpal notes ever (the red currant is sour and off on me, but the black currant smells dark, fruity, candy-sweet, juicy, and wonderful). I could see this being unusual and gorgeous on someone who doesn't amp up the opoponax (which, on me, is like a syrupy, intensely sweet resin and hints of black pepper). I'm going to be putting this one in my scent locket, though.

    Cicuta

I don't love this as much as I thought I would. I think that I favor a sweeter, fresher smelling rose, and this is definitely a dry, dark, perfumey rose on me. Then I get mostly candle smoke and saffron underneath the rose. Saffron always has a cheap potpourri spiciness to it on my skin, and I get that here. I like the soft, dark smokiness here (not sharp or gritty, but an exotic, gentle smokiness), but the rose and saffron overpower it and leave me smelling like bad potpourri...

    Silenti

Silenti was heavy on the lilac & wisteria when it was fresh (sweet, waxy, heavy, purple floral) with the myrrh giving it a resinous, golden edge and the moss giving it a sour, swamp-y quality. I sort of liked it, but found it too heavy and powdery to wear much. Unfortunately, it has not improved with age. Oddly, this now doesn't have a floral smell to it at all. Aged, this is mostly Spanish moss, which is sour & unpleasant on my skin, with a backdrop of dry incense smoke and baby powder. My bottle is going to swaps...

    Sanctus

This smells very fruity to me for some reason, like a perfumey, sweet, watery, dark sort of berry. I can also smell the cool, soft, slightly powdery lily. In the drydown, I'm getting something that smells like a hint of burnt rubber, but it's mostly a perfumey fruity-floral scent :/. Sanctus smells like a bad drugstore perfume on me. Cloying fruit, a touch of floral, and lots of sharp, perfumey musk. I love frankincense, but I don't get anything resinous or incense-like from this blend. The sharp musk here gives me a vicious headache and the intense sweetness makes me nauseous.
  24. Blood onmy hands

    Transeo

Transeo smells slightly like red wine on me, but a less heavy sort of red wine. It's like red wine lightened up with a fresh splash of orange juice and a cool, sweet berry. I also smell red rose, but I don't know where I'm getting that from. In the drydown it's like a fruity, fresh sort of wine, a hint of rose perfume, and a creamy, soft orange blossom note. I was expecting this to have a men's cologne feel, but it smells very womanly on me. I like this a lot. It smells very sexy, beautiful, and confident.

    Vespillo

The jasmine in Vespillo reminds me of why I hate jasmine notes. The jasmine here is sour and a bit like body odor, and gives off an impression of something rotting to my nose. The patchouli and sage have this dry, earthy, soft, slightly herbal feel that I like, but I can't stand the jasmine. The combination of earth + the rotten smell of the jasmine is creepy, but not something that I want to wear. I can't pick out the clove, neroli, or iris at all. Jasmine amps up on my skin, and the jasmine here doesn't work on me.
