What do bottles and labels look like?

The Conjure Bag oils that I have all just have the regular style GC labels.

I want a BPAL that smells like Bath & Body Works...

Most of bpal's pumpkin and foodie scents have been limited editions. For scents in the GC that you can order imps of, these are the only pumpkins I can think of: Jack (Bewitching Brews): "The scent of warm, glowing jack o'lanterns on a warm autumn night: true Halloween pumpkin, spiced with nutmeg, glowing peach and murky clove." Dwarven Ale (RPG): "Brewed with fermented mushrooms, pumpkin rind, honey, and apple rootstock." Jack might fit what you're looking for (I've gotten variations of Jack that were very sweet and buttery, but sometimes the peach is really strong), but Dwarven Ale has a weird, sour quality to it, in my opinion. It's definitely not as sweet and foodie smelling as Jack. Pumpkin Latte was an LE that was available in 2010 and 2011, and I don't think it's too hard to find. I find bpal's Pumpkin Latte to be a lot spicier and more dry smelling than the Bath and Body Works scent, though.

    Tombeur

If you can find it, Lilith Victoria reminds me of a sweeter, more lavender-y Tombeur, especially as it has aged. A lot of the heavy red musk LEs have been similar for me as well. Maybe try these for GCs: Le Lethe (Ars Amatoria): "Red musk and sweat-damp golden skin musk with labdanum, golden amber, nutmeg, tobacco absolute, black orchid, and hemlock accord." Bloodlust (Diabolus): "Dragon's blood essence, heavy red musk, Indonesian patchouli and swarthy vetiver with a drop of cinnamon." Fenris Wolf (Diabolus): "Rosewood, amber, red musk and a dribble of red sandalwood." Sin (Sin & Salvation): "Thouroughly corrupted: amber, sandalwood, black patchouli and cinnamon." This doesn't list red musk, but it smells red musky to me.. and similar to Satyr. The King of Hearts (Mad Tea Party): "Rosewood and black cherry with white musk, red rose, red musk and a spark of lavender."

    Ville-Marie

VILLE-MARIE An elegant blend of native and imported flowers twirled around a sophisticated vanilla-touched white musk: Madonna lily, crabapple blossom, Begonia juliana, dendrobium and phalaenopsis orchids, and five varieties of lilac. Un musc blanc sophistiqué, touché de vanille et marié à des fleurs indigènes et étrangères: lys, fleur de pommier, Bégonia, orchidées dendrobium et phalaenopsis , et cinq variétés de lilas. In the bottle, this is lots of buttery, sweet lilac, and I actually worried that it would be too rich and cloying. Thankfully, on my skin, the hyper sweetness disappears and I'm left with a very realistic and amazingly beautiful lilac. It has the honeyed sweetness of real lilacs, along with their cool, breezy, clean quality. I think that I'm picking up on a hint of creamy, cool white musk as well. I was worried about the apple blossom (which tends to turn to soap on me) and the other notes that I'm not familiar with, but this is lilac heaven for me. I hoard Blue Lilac single note for special occasions, but I think that I like this even more than the single note for my lilac fix. Beautiful. ETA: This blend did not age well for me at all the buttery sweetness seemed to get stronger and stronger, and the apple blossom soap started to appear. It's sort of like lilacs, rancid melty butter, and dryer sheets on me now.

What do bottles and labels look like?

I have the pink Cottonmouth you're describing. Photo: The only other snake I know of having a label variation was King Cobra, and that was because the lab originally used a copyrighted image without permission, so they had to use a new label when the owner brought it up. Maybe the same issue happened with Cottonmouth, or maybe they went with a more accurate color/photo. King Cobras:

    Wild Dandelion

I love the smell of dandelions and I always wish that the dandelion note in some of bpal's blends were stronger (or not mixed with a gross beer smell as in Roadhouse), so I ordered a full bottle of this unsniffed and was really excited for it. I don't think that this smells much like dandelion, though. It sort of smells like sour rose, sour moss and hints of rubber and nailpolish remover to me . The drydown is oddly sweet & green mixed with something harsh & chemical-y and what still smells like rose on me... but I don't think that any part of it really smells like dandelion. After a while, it has a soapy floral air freshener type of feel to it. Very disappointing.

    Lunar Eclipse: April 2013

There's too much iris & tea in this blend for me. I was hoping for more of the currant, fir and patchouli to darken things up, but I can't really pick out those notes at all. Lunar Eclipse is mostly sharp, perfumey floral iris, sharp and clean white tea, and sharp white musk. It gives me a headache. Cold, sharp, perfumey floral that turns slightly powdery on me in the drydown. This was still going strong after an hour, but I wound up scrubbing it off.

    My Mommy in a Boat

I wish that I got the sea salt caramel + Snake Oil that other reviews have mentioned. I tend to love the foodier Snake Oil/red musk pairings. But this is pretty much Snake Oil + dry wood notes on me, with the cedar and hay notes amping up. The Snake Oil has an incense-y sweetness to it, but it doesn't smell foodie to me at all.

    Yaksh

The mix of jasmine, iris, chamomile, tuberose, and moss is sharply perfumey and slightly sour smelling on my skin. Sharp floral with sour jasmine and moss undertones. I usually enjoy the mellow blue musk note, but it's completely overpowered by the florals in this blend.

    Haute Macabre

I wonder if there are variations of this, as it seems like some people aren't getting cherry almond and others are. I definitely smell that cheap, sharp, fakey cherry-almond smell in this, unfortunately. It starts off really strong on that almond note, though it does fade into the background after about 15 minutes (doesn't disappear on me entirely, though). I don't really pick out any vanilla from this, but it has a chemical-y leather note, slightly powdery oak and hints of dry, earthy patchouli. With a smidge of cherry almond. Surprisingly, this doesn't have a lot of throw or staying power on me, and fades a lot within an hour. It mostly leaves behind a powdery patchouli on my skin. I'm glad that I tried a decant, as I don't need a full bottle of this'n.

    The Agricultural Building Atmosphere Spray

I love chocolate scents, so this is easily a winner for me. It's not quite like any of bpal's chocolate 'fumes, but it does have a part that reminds me of the warm chocolate brownie scent in Lump of Coal. It's like chocolate brownies, chocolate milk powder, and a creamy caramel tone. Sweet and wonderful.

What do bottles and labels look like?

My original bottles of 2005 Midway had the same labels as the rest of the first Carnaval series (the labels that showed the name of the scent, series and the jester skull). It got the ferris wheel label during its second run in 2006, I believe, and then the resurrected label when it was brought back for a short time in 2007/2008. I've always thought that the resurrected version of Midway smelled different from the original. It has smelled more chemical-y/metallic on me with age. This thread talks about a lot of the 'variations': http://www.bpal.org/topic/3142-different-smellscolors-same-perfume/page__st__525

    Summoning Stone Play Structure

Green grass and a soapy floral smell that, as others have said, reminds me of laundry detergent. I always like green scents, but I never wear them. I think I'd prefer Summoning Stone Play Structure as a room fragrance.

    Mopsfledermaus

Mops didn't sound good to me when I read the note list (sounded too sweet and I don't have great luck with bpal's spicy blends), but I actually like this scent. It does have a thick sweetness to it from the brown sugar and vanilla, but it's mostly a dark & sexy spice fragrance to my nose. It reminds me a little bit of Priala (the original, non-vetiver-heavy version, anyhow) and the drydown reminds me of Nocturne Alchemy's Ozymandius X. I don't know why, but it's like a warm, smoldering, dark myrrh with sun warmed, dusty, woody amber and lots of exotic, sweet spiciness. It smells complex, like it has lots of warm layers to it. I was worried that it would be a sickly sugar & spice scent, but it's definitely more interesting than that. I don't think that I'll wear this much over the summer, as it's so heavy and warm, but I'm going to love my bottle once fall rolls around

    Greater Horseshoe Bat

I'm not picking up on the rosewood, tea, labdanum or dark musk that's supposed to be in this blend. Greater Horseshoe Bat smells like tons of sweet, creamy, warm beeswax and cool, sweet, creamy lavender to my nose. I'm not sure what's giving me the lavender impression. Overall, Greater Horseshoe Bat smells like melty beeswax candles and creamy, sweet lavender. It makes me think of LUSH lavender bath products. Almost milky and edible smelling in its sweetness. I like this one and find it really comforting.

    Noctule Bat

I think that Noctule Bat is my favorite of this year's Bats Day scents. I'm surprised by how much I like this, because it's full of notes that usually don't work for me when they're in bpal blends. Noctule reminds me of Lenore (both heavy on the vetiver and plum), but this is smoother and not quite as smoky and harsh as Lenore is on me. I get lots of dark, heavy, slightly smoky vetiver with sweet, dark, glossy plum and a hint of slightly medicinal smelling black licorice. And none of that really sounds good to me, but this blend works for me somehow. It smells pitch black, sexy and dangerous to me <3. It's exactly how I was hoping it would smell, and is a dark, glossy plum scent that I can actually wear. Very happy to have a bottle of this one.

    Miss Forcible

I'm surprised at how much I like Miss Forcible. It's like the smell of cosmetics powders (lightly scented with sweet violet and creamy vanilla) and a faded hint of womanly perfume mixed with hints of anise and sweet spice cookies. I really like the vanilla-y tones. I was afraid that this would be cookies + sharp musk, like someone poured perfume over baked goods, but this is a pleasant, soft, warm, well blended, complex scent on my skin. I think it's reminding me slightly of L de Lolita Lempicka (which I prefer to this scent, but I still really like Miss Forcible). I love the mix of sweet & comforting elements paired with the sophisticated, womanly perfume notes. Sometimes it's a bit too much on the sweet cinnamon on my skin (making me feel more like it's a room fragrance/potpourri), but I still like it. This scent reminds me of my grandmother, in the best possible way. Wearing this is like getting a hug from her <3. I'll keep my partial bottle if only for that connection.

    The Cat

On me, this is a metallic, herbal honey mixed with a sour, slightly spicy smelling cedar and hints of powdery black musk. Unfortunately, all of that together somehow reminds me of body odor and curry powder...

    Miss Spink

Testing my bottle of Miss Spink has had its ups and downs. I expected to hate this, because tuberose is usually sharp and harsh white floral that gives me a headache, but the floral part of this isn't bad (at least not at first). It's a creamy, tropical smelling gardenia that reminds me of monoi oil. I also love the 'tea splash and biscuit crumbs,' which are quite strong and remind me of anise cookies and caramels. But something about the mixture in the drydown starts to smell rancid on me. It's like the floral takes on a rubbery, sour, rotten quality that mixes with the sweetness (which dries down to smell sort of like pancake syrup on me) in a bad way. I totally get what another reviewer meant by the pile of rotting garbage. It really has an undertone that smells like plastic bags full of rotting food on a hot day. Sad, because I really love this when first applied, but the drydown seems to just turn rancid and off on me... I definitely recommend tracking down a sample of this before going for a full bottle.

    Serotine Bat

Serotine Bat smells a lot like the Trading Post's Celeste bath salts did to me (the salts had notes of 'vanilla-infused honey and saffron'). It's like a sweet honey flavored dusting powder with a hint of fruity peach blossom. It smells a bit like creamy vanilla cake batter in the bottle, but turns dry/powdery/dusty smelling and honeyed on my skin.

    Dysopes Tenuis

I was disappointed when I first put this on, as it starts off very green, sour and strange smelling (like rotting green stems and pen ink with harsh musk and sweet tarts - very heavy and unpleasant). Thankfully, it quickly dries down into a better scent. The rose settles into a sweet, cool rose with tart black currant making it juicier and heavier. I still get that sappy, green quality, but it loses its sour edge and helps to make the rose smell like a real, freshly picked rose. The musk and tonka round out the background of the scent as a dark, sensual perfuminess. Dysopes Tenuis settles down on my skin into a dark and gothic smelling scent with a fresh, dewy smelling rose rather than a dry, crumbling one. I'm glad that the inky/black musk isn't turning powdery or to men's cologne the way that bpal's black musk usually does on me. Dark and sexy with a realistic rose at its center. I'm glad to have a bottle of this one.

    Coraline Jones

First on, Coraline is similar to the clean, cool skin & honey notes that I get from Sara Pezzini. It's also similar to the watery musk and honey in Solstice Scents' Pharaoh blend. I'm not getting anything green or grass-like from this blend, though there is a hint of sweet, dried herbs and tart berry smell in the drydown. This is sensual, pretty, clean (slightly soapy), and delicately sweet. I like this, but I find the sexy clean skin & honey smell to be a bit odd in a scent representing Coraline, and I like the combo more in Sara Pezzini. I prefer the hint of leather in Sara Pezzini to the hint of dried herbs and tart berry in this one. Over time, the berry in this seems to turn more and more sour & strong smelling on my skin, and I start to find it unpleasant. My husband said that this reminds him of bug spray after a while.

    The Palace of Electricity

This starts off smelling like a light, summery aquatic men's cologne - cool, musky, a little citrusy, and with an overall metallic/aquatic feel. The drydown is more cheap laundry soap than cologne. Like huffing a box of laundry soap powder. Not so good.
  24. Blood onmy hands

    The Great Basin

I get a little bit of sweetness from the vanilla and violet, but this mostly smells like a bar of creamy white soap to me. A little white musky as it dries down, but mostly a feminine soapy smell. The bathrooms in my grandma's house smell like this, so it's a slightly comforting scent to me, but not something I'll ever really wear.
  25. Blood onmy hands

    The Court of Honor

The Court of Honor reminds me of bpal's tobacco flower note - an intensely soapy, dry, crumbling floral smell. It's a sharp, white, cool, soapy smell. The drydown has something of a sharp citrus note and the blend starts to remind me of lemon dish soap. Way too sharp and soapy for me. I had to scrub this one off after a half hour, because the perfumey, sharp musk + soap was giving me a headache
