    Tumbling Over a Ghost

I love the cool, dark, dry green scent of ivy, and I enjoy the hint of soft, damp earth, sour moss and sharp pine, but I feel like I would enjoy this more as a room scent than a perfume. On me, the beeswax amps up a lot in the drydown and I don't really enjoy the thick, heavy, waxy sweetness mixed with the green notes. I'll try my decant in an oil warmer, though, and hope it's mostly the greenery and earth.

Dead Leaves, Raw Leather, Bourbon Vanilla, and Clove

I expected a heavy, spicy leather blend from this, but it's more of a clean, musky men's cologne with a hint of spicy clove (kind of reminds me of bay rum cologne). It's not as green as the dead leaves can be, but has that strange, aquatic cologne vibe. I don't smell leather or vanilla at all, and this doesn't last very long on my skin, maybe an hour total.

    Wooden Bullet

Dry, dusty wood and a sharp, metallic, musky men's cologne scent that dries down with a strange, almost rusty smell and a hint of smoky, burnt metal. The woods turn really dry and slightly powdery on me, and I don't like that clean/musky cologne thing happening in this either. It's too sharp and too dry for my tastes.

    The Hourglass

The lily and rose combine on me into a really sharp, soapy rose scent. I can pick out a hint of herbal carrot and some syrupy, peppery, resinous sweetness from the opoponax, but it mostly smells like a bar of rose soap that's dusty and forgotten in a wooden box...

    Adam

I like the leather in this, but it's covered in the wool, dust, and baby powdery sandalwood. Dusty, powdery wood, that almost brown musk-ish, warm, wooly note for the carpet, and a hint of brown leather. Warm, very dry, dusty, woody... way too dry and powdery for me.

    The Edge of Doom

Kind of a bitter, watery green, and I definitely get the carrot and celery impressions that others have mentioned. This isn't really a veggie scent to me, though (I like the strange Planting Moon type scents), because it has a sharp, chemical undertone to it that makes me think of disinfectant. It's also sharply floral, but reminds me more of a perfumey white floral than violet. Sharp and unpleasantly bitter on me.

    Diamond Star

What everyone else has said - this is super baby powdery on me. Ambergris accords can sometimes have a powdery amber musk type of scent to me, so I think that's what's happening here. Not really woody or resinous. A warm, super powdery, musky, amber-ish tone. Only lasts about an hour on me, which is fine, because I don't like powdery scents too much.

    Himalia

Baby oil, baby powder, a whiff of lemon pledge wood polish and a hint of warm, toasted nuttiness. Himalia is way too powdery for me, and the weird baby oil scent is off putting. Drydown smells like baby powder and maple syrup on me, which is really gross. I was really hoping that this would smell like the unreleased Sheela Na Gig, but it doesn't at all

    Nasty Woman

Gourmand patchoulis are my thing, so I thought that this was a safe blind buy, but I was wrong. The patchouli is very dry, sharp and ashy, kind of reminding me of the #occupywallstreet patchouli, which is one of my least favorites. Has a sour, dry, cedar-ish quality to it. Nasty Woman dries down to smoky ashes, sour and woody patchouli, and a cloying, super sweet cherry cough syrup smell. I also think I smell burnt caramel every once in a while. It's way too sharp and smoky for me, and I don't like the cherry smell. It's a mess on my skin.

    Pip

Starts off as screechy, sharp, white floral iris and dries down to tons of baby powdery amber with a weird, burnt maple sugar edge. This was a scrubber for me. Wearing this again, it's still sharp white floral and powdery amber, but I am getting some of the marshmallow/vanilla sweetness from it now, making the scent creamier, and the burnt maple sugar thing isn't showing up. Powdery, sweet, creamy white floral, but with a perfumey, sharp undercurrent.

    Jojo the Dog Faced Boy

I expected a lot of musk and leather, but I can barely pick out those notes. I get lots of creamy, sweet, lavender scented soap and hints of dry, herbal sage and juniper's damp evergreen smell. It smells like a spa fragrance. I get a bit of powdery brown musk in the drydown, but it's still mostly lavender.

    Black Bar

I wish that I could kick the citrus notes out of this scent. It starts off all plush, resinous, slightly powdery, thick black musk sweetened with the syrupy, resinous opoponax. The patchouli adds a lovely, dark earthiness that's like burning patchouli incense. And then a weird, sour grapefruit comes in and adds a sharp, sour pulse to the whole thing. I want it to stay dark and thick and sweet, but the bright citrus ruins it for me and makes it feel discordant.

    Owl Moon

This does remind me of the occupywallstreet patchouli, which I wasn't really a fan of. It has a medicinal/mentholic edge and a dry, dusty, sour cedar sort of tone to it on my skin. The honey is sweet and slightly herbal, but mostly I'm getting dry, woody patchouli. It doesn't remind me of Banshee Beat/Revenant Rhythm, which was a darker, more lush patchouli with thick vanilla sweetness. Owl Moon is like occupywallstreet with honey instead of cocoa.

    The Gas Lamps' Flare

I don't have great luck with the lab's apple scents. Even with all of the lovely resin notes, this just winds up smelling like a sweet, red candy apple scented shampoo on my skin. No incense. Just artificial, sweet apple with a soapy edge to it.

    The Bear in the Cellar

A sour booze and dark woods smell from the whiskey (like whiskey poured over a polished, dark, wooden bar table), a smoky-sweet note from the tobacco, and a fuzzy, warm, powdery brown musk that amps up way too much on my skin. I think this is a fun scent, and I've kept my decant, but I don't love the dry, powdery musk in this one.

    Mrs. Emma Marsh

I get a big, loud jasmine and gardenia mix with a little honey. I prefer creamier gardenia notes, where this one is sharper and more traditionally white floral, and the jasmine is perfumey and slightly sour. Has that musky, sharp white floral drugstore perfume tone to it.

    Jennie Rogers

This is a light, springtime fruity-floral on my skin, with no tobacco or chypre. The jasmine is delicate and slightly weedy smelling, and only a little bit sour, with a hint of fresh, bright rose, lemony bergamot, and sweet, fuzzy peach. It's not very sweet or vanilla-y on me, though the peach and bergamot do add some sweetness. Fresh and leans towards a clean, natural smell.

    Licorice Whip Atmosphere Spray

I love both notes separately and even more together sticky, sweet black licorice candy (I feel like my hands would come away sticky if I touched this, if that makes sense) over a dark, black, new car type leather. Clean, sweet, unusual, dark.

The Lady in Black Atmosphere Spray

I think I like red musk more in perfume than just floating around in my house. The musk seems to turn sharper and dryer when it's not on skin, if that makes any sense. The amber and orris aren't helping it out here either, going very dry and powdery. Maybe I waited too long to try this, but it's an underwhelming, warm, musky, dry, powdery scent now. Not sweet enough for me.

    The Thorny Path Atmosphere Spray

Dark and sexy and one of my favorite room fragrances. Lots of dark, slightly smoky, black leather and dark, woody patchouli and oudh. There's a little sweetness from the vanilla and a touch of sharp, sour red rose, but the rose is subtle and just smells romantic and sensual underneath the darker, more masculine notes. In a weird way, this always makes me think of Beauty & The Beast.

Secrets of the Hanamachi Atmosphere Spray

Initial spray is lots of tangerine, bright and cheerful, but quickly fades to a warm red musk sweetened with honey and made sharp/ perfumey / musky from the vanilla orchid. Smells like a spilled musk and floral perfume on my throw pillows.
  22. Blood onmy hands

    Oil Paper Umbrella Atmosphere Spray

Sharp, lemony cleanser scent with some powderiness from the sandalwood and amber. Makes me think of the way rest stop bathrooms smell, all disinfected and oddly powdery.

Teatime in Roswell Home & Linen Spray

Watery, clean, but strangely warm smelling cucumber and tea. Like the perfume oil, this smells strangely floral to me. A warm, floral tea with some slices of cucumber next to it. I don't get the cake at all, but a bit of a warm, dry, golden, biscuity note in the drydown. Dry, floral, perfumey after a few minutes.

    Boo Bath Oil

I wish that I could take a bath with this, but the bath oils make my skin break out, so I've just been using my bottle of Boo to scent the ends of my hair and as a perfume oil smudged between my wrists. I think this is perfectly named. It has that clean linen smell and lots of cool, super creamy, sweet vanilla. Makes me think of clean, white sheets hung outside to dry in the fall, sheets of unusual vanilla cream between the fabric, and friendly ghosts.

    Pink Snowballs Bath Oil

Definitely not the vanilla-y, gourmand rose of the original Pink Snowballs perfume oil (which was like Snow White + dewy, pink, soft rose). This smells more like the lab's actual snow note - minty and aquatic. Dries down to a soapy rose on me. I never get the vanilla or sweetness that it should have. I use bath oils the same as I use perfume oils (smudged over my wrists and the ends of my hair), because the bath oils make my skin break out if I get them all over myself. So this was tested as a perfume oil. Minty, soapy aquatic, sharp rose, not much staying power...
