In Imp: Cinnamon, but like I'm sticking my nose into a jar of gingerbread spices. Wet: Lots of cinnamon, metal, like a steampunk christmas. Dry: It's a very dark cinnamon, and it smells like it's mixed with copper. Not a dead-on (har!) match for real blood, but a very interesting take on it. Drydown: Spicy, like pepper got chucked in the gingerbread spices and metal shavings. I associate this more with something a guy in a leather coat ought to wear, definitely not a feminine scent to me. Might get my guy to start wearing it :-D

In imp: Almonds! Wet: Almonds, cherries and...pine sol? Smells like a particularly well-blended cleaning solution. Dry: More floral now, but the pine sol (incense?) has bloomed back up and overwhelmed that nice almond I liked. Drydown: Lots of incense, albiet sweeter than I'm used to for incense. More stately temple and less cheap gas station, if that makes sense.

In Imp: Buttery, but with a chemical undertone. Like someone spilled perfume in movie theater topping. Wet: Bakery! Smells like good things to eat, bread and pastries. Dry: Ack - what happened? Dark, chemical undertones that smell...wrong, the way fruit that's turned does. I don't like it at all and it's giving me a headache Drydown: More tolerable, the smell I disliked is much lighter now and more reminiscent of the initial bakery smell of wet. Still strikes my scent palate as not for me, but an interesting experiment.

Wet: Something almost...like flowers, but in a nurses office. I get baby powder/the powder inside dentists gloves smooshed with flowers. On me: LILY. Leaps out and bitchslaps me, with an undercurrent of jasmine. This is a nice blend because it doesn't make me nauseous with the flower smells. It's a flower trained to heel and not make one smell whorish. I put a teensy bit on and it'sjust the strength I think appropriate for a perfume...I would venture to say that this has some serious staying power and an imp/bottle would go a long way! ~Fox

::swoons:: I LOVE THIS. Like, ALOT. ::grins lopsidedly:: It brings back ridiculously pleasant memories of playing with scented my little ponies as a kid, though this does *not* smell fake at all. The ginger and the honey make this sort of syrupy combination that like rich golden honey with teeny spiky toothpicks of ginger floating around, and a few jasmine blossoms dotting here and there. Yay for bees, yay for flowers and YAY FOR BETH! ~Fox

Wet: I get a fruit, but I *can't* place it. It's the smell of a fruit leaf, I think, that it reminds me of. Sort of like if you had gotten a whiff of semi-decaying grapevine leaves...it's dark with a sense of former purpose. Let me slather this on before I start sounding like a calvin klein commercial over here... On me: Mmm...some sort of night-blooming flower, on me. A summertime one. Very sweet, like orange blossoms, not headachey like gardenia. Starting to go a little powdery on me It's a comforting sort of scent, like a kind stranger coming in to wrap a blanket around you when you're sick. It's being taken care of in a place you're unfamiliar with; it doesn't smell like *home*, but it smells safe enough to relax. ~Fox

Wet - fruit punch! The kind in snack bars, endlessly cascading down the inside of one of those plastic containers, that dyes EVERYTHING within reach bright red and burns your throat with sugar and citric acid. Ah, the things we digest freely in youth... Wet - Hm. I do not like this. I get a bright orange note for some reason...ok ok...maybe I do like this...it's orangey! Yay! It's spicy and orangey to me, I like this...like mandarin orange spiked with clove. Mm. I don't smell booze at all? ~Fox

In the imp: I thought of being in an antique store, seeing a really cool bottle/jar/container, thinking of putting something (say herbs) in it, and opening it and trying to do that sniff-where-you're-not-sniffing so no one thinks your crazy for smelling the inside of some old jar. Ok, maybe I'm the only one who does that. Stop judging me! Hehe, but seriously folks....it's the smell of something old but still clean, the mystery of some old wooden box that smells fresher than it ought. On me: Yay laundry! This is clean on me, like storm moon; it smells of growing things and linen hung out in the sun to dry. This is a pretty scent, this is the scent you throw on clothes you reaaaaaly want to wear but are so dirty they're practically standing up by themselves. This is "I'm so close to just having stepped out of the shower, my hair's still dripping". Mmm...nummy. ~Fox

In the imp: Definately a boy scent...smells like fresh-cut wood and soap. Like irish-spring or somesuch...a boy just out of the shower out chopping wood. On me: Pretty much the same - yay! Wonder if I can talk the boy into wearing this. It smells like clean, fresh, mannish soap! There's a little bit of sweetness in it, just enough to temper the masculinity and make it one of those fringe unisex scents. ~Fox

... This perfume is the scent of the witches’ revel: German fir and forest herbs, incense and bonfire smoke, and the wet, glimmering scent of skin warmed by dance. In the bottle: Strong resiny type of smell..damn..already getting a headache. Resins don't like me. I smell pine trees and oak, too. Forests and resin in a bottle. On me: Hm..starting out pretty much the same...ok, a little sweetness, and thank goodness the pine is smacking down the resin. Woo! Woodsmoke like a slap in the face. Very sudden. Now I kind of smell like I've been rubbing pineneedles over an open fire. Now that's it's dried down a bit, I kind of like it. Headache still remains, though. Mm..smells like christmastime! ~Fox

The name of this moon refers to the color of wild ground phlox, a primary component of this Lunacy Blend, which is one of the most widespread floral signposts of springtime in North America. This Lunar blend is soft with phlox, tulip, daffodil, dogwood and muscari, dusted with pink sugar, carnation and honey, and a touch of the first strawberries of the season. In the bottle: Almost caramelly, but then, burnt sugar=caramel by definition, so I suppose it's not far off. It's not a painful make-you-gag sweet...not sure how beth managed to pull this off without it ending up as that...kudos, beth! On me: Mmm..very yummy. Like someone rolled traditional scenty (i.e. lily of the valley kind of 'grown up' flowers) flowers in candy and mushed them up. Ha...this scent makes me kind of hungry for pudding or something. There's also a kind of dryer-sheet underscent for me - clean and fresh. ~Fox

In the bottle: Smells like laundry! Like walking by someone's house when the dryer's on and getting that comfy scent of warm dryer-air. Also an under-scent that has a little bite, like granny smith apples or altoids...not necessarily apple or mint, just that little "ting" kind of scent. On me: Yay! I like this one! That under-scent is there again, like sourpatch kids or sweettarts layered over the dryer-sheet. It's clean and friendly, like a blanket wrapped around you when you're watching a really good movie. It's a comfort, but not stodgy. A very unique scent...you'll get compliments on this one. ~Fox

Wet/in imp - I definately get orange...brought back some memories of visiting grandma in Flordia! It's subtle, but once you grab it, you definately get the subconsious idea of splitting an orange skin. It's..um... a "round" scent - all the stuff tumbles together like it's in a waterglobe - it's really cool. And, damnit, I keep getting a chocolate kind of scent...I didn't think this had chocolate, but I smell chocolate (maybe I'm just hungry? hehe) On meee - Hmmm..chemicalish. Ok, good, that went away. Smelled too soon, I think. But the rose...isn't quite rose...it's not assertive enough...ick! Baby Powder? What is this? I smell like a baby's butt all of a sudden. Damn. Isn't going away, either. Ach...*strong*, too. Nothing but baby powder. ::weeps:: 10 mins later, no different. Poor jeze. ~Fox

One of the first impressions I got sniffing this in the imp was the same feeling/scent I get when I crack open a can of Red Bull - that metallic, faintly alchoholy type of tang that makes the sides of your tongue do that tingly thing they do when you eat something too flavorful first thing in the morning. It also smells like some kind of adult summery drink, something you want to toss ice cubes in and sip on a porch. On me: ooh. Lime citrusy right at first. May explain the Red Bull connection (that has citrus in it too) - there's some sort of under-scent coming out and drowning out the first lime scent. This second thing is semichemical, kind of like cardboard? It's light, though, and calming...like attempting moving on a pleasant not-too-warm day and sitting on a box near freshly-painted walls. And still the citrus underneath. I like this...nice and light, I would happily wear it regularly. ~Fox
