    Black Cat

My best friend ordered me an imp of the Black Cat as she thought the description fitting of something I'd enjoy having around and in great need of. I couldn't be happier with this scent. To my nose Black Cat is a blend of fresh mint and a creamy rose. The mint mellows quite a bit after the initial awakening blast, that is rather joyous indeed, and the scent becomes very round and creamy on me. I recall something from my childhood, like a cold cream or lotion my grandmother once wore. (yes, evoking the childhood memories) It's feminine, clean, and soft yet there is a slight mysterious edge there which makes the name suitable yet deceptive at the same time. This scent is camling and invigorating at the same time. I'm drawn to it's strange marriage of two contrasting vibes... Can't wait to explore it further.

    Empyreal Mist

Much to my delight I received a gift imp of this pretty fragrance from gothiccastle yesterday. This fragrance is a light fruity floral in my point of view. I do not get any of the tea notes mentioned. On me this scent reminds me of Antonia's Flowers Floret which leads me to think this has peaches and apricots. Empyreal Mist is much better than Floret and doesn't contain the nose tickling edge that I find in Foret. Beth's blends rank way above the commercial fragrances I've worn in the past and she continues to amaze me at her creations. I also feel strongly that this fragrance has quite a bit of cassis in it. I used to wear straight cassis oil and am struck at the similarity. This is a clean fragrance, though not at all sopay on me nor musky and I'm so thankful for that. The scent stays pretty true in the drydown. The initial green or grassy note mentioned just becomes less apparent. Though I normally gravitate toward sweet and foody I can see myself buying a bottle of Empyreal Mist in the near future.

    Snow White

I'm very smitten with Snow White. I smell a slight similarity to Dana O'Shee. To me Snow White starts off green while Dana O'Shee begins as a sweet wet almond. Snow White has a flral and fruity background which is completely missing from Dana O'Shee and sets Snow White off on her own as an individual. The dry down of Snow White, on me, seems to be florals laced with a nice- not too sweet- vanilla. I swear that I detect waterlilly in the drydown, but it may be an accord that causes the same note. I love this scent. I need a big bottle of it.

    Spooky

Spooky starts out, on my skin, as a delicate white mint chocolate. After a few minutes the coconut starts to pick up and the white chocolate association is lessened. This fragrance goes though several phases before drying down to something which reminds me of Lush's Silky Underwear Disting Powder. This fragrance much less foody on me than I thought it would be and it is glorious.
