  1. Given the fact that I love licorice and the scent of it, naturally I had to try this. Looks like all the yules I have tried this year are perfect, sigh, not good news for my wallet... Leather, licorice, sugar cookies and smokey coal - this is so gooooood, I am addicted :P

  2. An embrace: black poppy, lavender, thick black incense, black amber, rose geranium, Brazilian rosewood, and benzoin.

On Darkness is so lovely - I also get a fruity, almost plummy vibe from this oil with a lavender kick and the incense note. I need at least one bottle :P
  3. Mole

When wet, Mole reminds me of the rainsoaked roots of a tree with fresh moss crawling all over it - later it dries down to a very comforting warm and earthy scent. I love it! :P

  4. I have a question about the Lilith Victoria and Lady Lilith scents - I found them under reviews - Limited Editions. They're marked as Forum Only 9/14/2008 - what does that mean, do you get information about release of these oils by mail or how does it work?

Maybe it has already been explained but I did not find any information on the Forum Only releases by doing a search :P

  5. I have to say, I was one of the last people to put in an order and I did not even expect to receive SGA and the book - I am very happy and honored to have this in my collection :P

I love Snow, Glass, Apples - it works surprisingly well on my skin and stays a pure apple scent for hours on my skin, it's amazing and I will surely treasure this bottle.

I combined it with Snow White today and omg, what a gorgeous combination.

  6. Omg, why didn't I buy more than one bottle of this? SM is very medicinal to start with but it turns into the most incredible resin blend ever - I swear at one point I almost get some sort of sweet cinnamon from this. I can only compare it to Sin, one of my other favourites, with the black amber and myrrh, only much, much darker :P

I cannot wait to let it age - since I only have one bottle, this will be for special occasions only...

  7. I have been very curious for years about the lore of Snow White and now the legend is finally here, sitting on my counter full of sweet promises :P

In the bottle I sense some playdoh but it is good playdough - playdough made of angels, you might add.

Wet on skin: Cool and creamy with a hint of berries, flowers and marzipan - very feminine and subtle.

Drying and beyond: Sweet mother of all spicyness and creamyness this is nectar from the gods - not an oil I would normally wear at all, but this is oh so good, stardust and magic.

I think I am in love!

  8. A generous frimp from the Lab :P

Uh-oh, way too buttery and sweet - I feel like I just poured custard all over myself - I am surprised to like this scent because normally I really do not like foody and buttery scents at all - but it's very pretty :D

Cool, sweet and clear, Obatala really works with my chemistry but I think I will have to pass on the foodyness, I'm afraid.

  9. I have nothing new to add to the praise of Dorian except from more praise: Freshly applied, this is tea with a twist of lemon and vanilla biscuits on the side, like Danish butter cookies! On the drydown I get more of the musk mixing with the vanilla, very sexy and comforting - I love Dorian :P

  10. I have found a new love, Witch Queen is everything that I had hoped that Madame Moriarty would be - unfortunately the Madame turned too perfumey on my skin.

Dark incense and lillies fill my lungs - I can almost taste this oil at the back of my throat - then the tuberose. After a little while, I can sense the beeswax and plums - this oil dries down to a very wicked incense perfume with beeswax and plum. Graceful, beautiful and classic but also sinister, haughty and foreboding - befitting for a super villainess :P

  11. Oooh, have I ever been anxious to try Fairy Market! In the beginning I get a blast of florals and loads of toothaching sugar on my skin, but the oil almost immediately begins to morph and twirl, it is very fascinating - one moment I only get sugar coated fruits, the next florals and incense. As the Market dries on my skin the scent darkens and becomes more of a twilight scent with lavender and sugary incense.

Such a charming, wispy scent, I adore it :P

  12. Whoa, cocoa explosion on my wrist! Hmm, I never really get more than cocoa out of this - I'd loved it to be more woody and deep but my skin turns Boomslang into some sort of sweet chocolate drink instead :D

After a while it goes poof! on my skin though I am sure it still lingers around me - I think I need to test Boomslang more times in the vain hope it will turn in to the wonderfully complex scent it was really meant to be :P

  13. Heavy GORGEOUS Snake Oil (smells aged to my nose) with coconut and incense - I don't get any vetiver until the drydown. Maybe my nose just got used to a lot of vetiver and does not notice it as much.

Dry, this is Snake Oil with vetiver, coconut and what must be oppoponax - I freakin love this sexy scent :D

ETA: Settling on my skin now and I get even more of the herbal, grassy vetiver with Snake Oil and I love vetiver :P . This wafts like crazy - use with caution!

  14. I wonder what went wrong between my skin and Black Phoenix because seriously, it ended up smelling like kerosene on me and nothing else :D

The first seconds I get a lovely almond note and them wham! - kerosene all the way - I am seriously bummed.

I think I need to try this a few more times to see if it will stay the same :P
