I should have known better with jasmine in the notes, but thought I'd try a decant of it. Way too strong of a jasmine note for my tastes. I will say that the jasmine does settle down considerably after several minutes and I smell more of the honey. But I never got any winter berries out of it and it doesn't really make me think of winter either.

I agree with the buttery nuts description mingled with candied fruit. It is quite pleasant, but I find it less "rich" than Steeplechase Park, but then maybe that is for the better because SP tends to be too heavy a scent for me at times.

The Storyteller's Parlor Atmosphere Spray
angelicruin replied to amanderinorange's topic in Atmosphere
Smoke, firewood, and leather are strongest notes I'm finding though the brandy is certainly there in the background. It's nothing I'd spray my pillow with at night, but it does smell lovely as a room spray in our family room and den. -
Very warm, resinous scent. Pleasant, but nothing I tend to wear with any frequency.

Amaretto and coconut on my skin. Quite boozy on me.
-
Reminds a lot of cake smash, but without the frosting. This is straight up red velvet chocolate on my skin.

I want this in a 5ml so bad. My perfect holiday scent. Starts off mostly peppermint but within about 20 seconds of application, there is the blueberry and it blends so perfectly with the peppermint note, I just want to keep huffing my wrist.

I get mostly gingerbread out of this one. The honey is very light and difficult for me to pick up on my skin.

Raspberry Thumbprint Cookie

Wow, this smells spot on raspberry thumbprint cookie. Love it. -
I get coconut rum and clove on my skin.

I only got a 1/2 decant of this because I was afraid of the fig note, but surprisingly this smells pretty awesome on my skin. Fruit, brown sugar, and spices with a small amount of booze mixed in.
-
Dark fruit, spices, and orange. I don't get too much alcohol in this one either. Mostly fruit and spice.

Black Cherry Amaretto Christmas Puddin'
angelicruin replied to boxinghelena's topic in Black Phoenix Trading Post
Black cherry syrup, amaretto, and vanilla. Boozy and sweet on me. Definitely a winner for me. -
The patchouli, leather, and cedar notes are strong upon initial application. I get a wafting of the star anise after a minute or two. It's a dry scent that stays close to my skin. Fades pretty quickly on me.
-
Heavy on wine in this one, but with just enough champagne to make it sparkle. Quite boozy on my skin.
-
Fizzy, sweet fruit on my skin.
-
This one smells like Cola flavored Bottle Caps on my skin, but in spite of that, I actually like it. As it dries down, it begins to smell more like ginger ale.
-
Heavy red musk on me initially that turns powdery. Not sure this one will work out for me, but I'll let it sit for a little while and see...

Juicy peach mingled with fizzy champagne note. Sweet, but not sickening. I really love this one!

Wow, I am so glad I took a chance ordering a bottle of this. It's dry, dusty, with a hint of sweet perfume in it. Actually, it is very similar to Black Lace on my skin, but without the cognac note I get with Black Lace.

Snow! Bright snow and soft floral merged together. Lovely and uplifting scent.
-
I get a lot of oude and frankincense out of this one, with rose emerging as it dries down. Not really for me though.

I definitely agree with the comparison to Haunted at first sniff. I love black musk and this scent does not disappoint. I'm one who usually cannot do vetiver, but it works in this blend. Darkens the scent a little more without making me smell like the fire pits of Hell. Myrrh and tobacco notes soften and sweeten the scent just enough and the sage seems to balance everything together. Though I won't likely purchase a bottle, I do want to keep this decant.

Snow, pine, ozone, and berries. Just a perfect, wonderful winter scent.

Clove and tobacco are top notes on my skin right after application. As it dries, I pick up the redwood, hemp, peach blossom (though very light) and black currant notes. Not getting any red musk out of this one. I think I will definitely keep my decant, though I probably don't need a full bottle.
