My initial impression after sniffing the imp, is it's a milky soap scent. Wet on the skin, herbal soap with a sour milk quality to it. It's that sour note that is keeping me from really enjoying this scent.

Oh Wow. This scent is one of my favorites. Earl Grey Tea and light vanilla musk define this scent on my skin. I get no Jasmine, thankfully. I got a decant of this to try and I now know that I need to be getting a bottle before the Carnaval comes down.

Sniffing the imp, I'm getting lemon and sandalwood. Very refreshing scent. On the skin, definitely still mostly citrus and sandalwood. Amber is there but is not the main note on my skin. I like this scent a lot. It's warm yet refreshing. Reminds me of a cool summer morning before the sun begins to bake the earth for the day.

This is a very woodsy scent tempered with leather and tonka. It goes on a bit like sweetened cedar initially. Definitely a good choice for men, but it's not so masculine that a woman can't wear it. I need to try this on my hubby.

Sniffing the imp, I'm getting very bitter tobacco. Wet on the skin, it's a very stinky tobacco and a bit of incense. A couple minutes after application, I finally smell a bit of leather, but that tobacco note, is drowning everything else out. Usually tobacco smells great on me, but this stuff smells like cigarette butts on my skin with a dab of leather and incense. Fortunately, once it fully dries, the cigarette smell dulls considerably with the leather becoming the stronger note. Still, it's not enough to save this scent for me.

I love this so much more than I thought it would. It is the most amazing blend of snake oil, mint, and green tree. Lasts several hours on my skin and has a very nice throw to it. I just have a decant right now from a recent swap, but I will definitely be buying a bottle before the Carnaval comes down.

This is a gorgeous blend. Very soft and unassuming. And very feminine. It is powdery and slightly floral. It's fresh and yet haunting. This is a blend very hard to describe in a way that gives it the justice it deserves.

Just sniffing the bottle, you can tell it's going to be a heavy scent. Very resinous. I'd have to say this is a lightly spicy, sweet, and dusty floral on my skin. Though different, it has qualities that still remind me of a couple of the Poe scents I have previously tried: The Haunted Palace and The House. Definitely a melodramatic, heady scent.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this scent. In the bottle, lots o' rum. Wet on the skin, rum and tobacco are predominate. Very woody scent on my skin. Brimstone is very much held in check, thankfully. As it dries, becomes more spicy. I almost get a bit of clove out of the spicy scent. Dries down to soft vanilla, rum, tobacco, and spice.

In the bottle, mostly honey and fig. Wet on the skin, honey, fig, and carnation immediately. Almond comes out as it begins to dry. Not a strong almond, but just enough. Seems to go a bit more fruity as it dries further, but nothing specific in terms of fruit. I keep trying to smell the apricot, but am not having much success, yet I do smell fruit beyond the fig. Dries down to honeyed carnation and dark fruit.

Inside the bottle, it's bitter rose. Wet on my skin, strong rose and red musk. This dries down to mainly red musk with faint rose. I never picked up the amber on my skin, but this bottle is brand new from the lab and I think it needs to mellow and age for a few months.

Upon sniffing the imp, I am getting mostly lavender. Wet on the skin, lavender. As it dries, I get a bit of the magnolia, but Lavender defines this scent for me.
-
Sniffing the imp, it's a very light creamy floral scent. Wet on the skin, roses and lilies with a light creamy quality. Dries down to mostly rose and light musk.
-
Sniffing the imp, it's a spicy sweet wood scent. Wet on the skin, wood and roses initially. Mint note comes out less than a minute after application. I get hints of citrus occasionally as well. Dries down to a soft herb & wood scent with a dash of rose. Decent throw and lasts on my skin for several hours.
-
In the bottle, green floral. Wet on the skin, juicy crushed plant stems. The more it dries, the more floral it becomes. There is definitely rose in there and possibly lily. Good throw and lasts several hours on my skin.
-
Inside the imp, Vetiver of Doom. Wet on the skin, vetiver and floral. Very harsh. Dries down to smoky vetiver & honeysuckle. I have to pass on this on.
-
Inside the imp, lily and vanilla. Very little scent inside the imp though. Wet on the skin, vanilla and sandalwood. As it dries, vanilla, mandarin, and soft lily.
-
Inside the imp, strong lemon. Wet on the skin, starts out mostly lemon. Tea note soon emerges. So far, no jasmine to ruin it all. Dries down to mostly lemon tea. I like it. It's refreshing on a hot summer day.
-
Inside the imp, sweet and a bit citrusy to my nose. Wet on the skin, milk & honey and something else....maybe the ambrosia? And a bit of lemon in the background. Dries down to nearly the same scent on my skin, just lighter.
-
Inside the imp, I definitely smell the elm bark and herbs. On the skin, strong herbs and wood. Musk emerges as the oil dries on my skin. Very masculine scent.
-
Inside the imp, vetiver vanilla, and lime. Wet on the skin, it's vetiver and vanilla. A few minutes after application, almond note & clove notes emerge and a faint amount of patchouli. I'm not getting the lime I sniffed in the amp after I apply the oil to my skin. Dries down to very soft vetiver, vanilla, and spices. I'm intrigued enough to keep this imp and see how it ages.
-
Inside the imp, Lemon Pledge On the my skin, lemons and something else fruity. Someone mentioned grapes...possibly. I normally like lemon scents, but this one is just too much like furniture cleaner.
-
Sniffing the bottle, the notes I am picking out as strongest are the red sandalwood and black amber. Wet on the skin, I can smell many notes right away including the tobacco, lavender, pomegranate, and musk. The more it dries, the black amber and oakmoss begin to emerge on my skin. Dries down to a lovely wine & tobacco scent.

Morning glory vines twisting around a patch of rampion, carrot, and parsley, with monkshood, hemlock, elfwort, sage, wormwood, and mandrake. Inside the imp, this is sharp, green & earthy. Upon initial application, sage and mandrake are the strongest notes on my skin. Dries down to heavy earth and roots. Not really my thing...
-
Inside the imp, orchid. Wet on my skin, soft sweet orchid and aquatic notes. As it dries, I'm also getting a fruit note like plum. It's nice, but I am not sure it's worth a bottle for me. I may hang onto the imp though and see how it ages.
