    Drink Me

Tart cherry and buttery toffee on my skin. Very yummy.

    The Hesperides

This is boozy apple on my skin. Great apple scent.
  3. angelicruin

    The Knave of Hearts

Buttery baked blackberry tart on my skin. I don't get the rose until it's almost fully dry. Nice, and a close cousin to Crumpet Rebellion.

    Dragon's Milk

Very sweet. Creamy vanilla & dragon's blood and as it dries, a bit of almond.

    Dragon's Reverie

This is mostly dragon's blood with a touch of floral on my skin. Tends to go soapy on my skin on the dry down.

    Wanda

Oooh, I applied to my skin and immediately it's this deep red wine and roses scent. Shortly after initial application, it turns more like grape on me, reminding me a bit of Soothing System. On the drydown, the grape goes away and I am left with violets, rose, and a faint red wine scent. I really like this one. Probably not enough for a bottle, but I will keep my imp.

    Zombi

On my skin, I get very rich soil mingled with soft rose. The dirt note definitely keeps the rose in line. If you are a lover of earthy scents, this is definitely one to try. I'm not one for dirt scents, but I have to admit that I don't mind this one on me at all.

    Chewing Little Bits of String

This turned out to be a surprise love for me. No lettuce note apparent on my skin. It's just a lovely creamy tea with very light lemon. A delicate scent with just the right amount of sweetness.

    Tin Phoenix

This is mostly mint and lemon on my skin. Yet another Phoenix that is bright and cheery smelling on my skin.

    The Nameless City Drive-In Theatre

I get grass as the strongest note in this blend, but I also pick up a bit of metal, but not sharp metallic, more a sweet metal note. And yes, this too goes soapy on my skin on the dry down. Glad I just tried a decant of this rather than buying a bottle.

    Crowley

Wow, this is just a gorgeous blending of notes. Red patchouli, musk, leather, a little (but not too much) lemon, vanilla, and wood. Sweet, but not too sweet. I can't stop huffing my wrist.

    Lead Phoenix

Whoa, heavy tobacco & plum with this one. But I do really like it. Cypress comes out shortly after initial application. I'm not really detecting the lettuce note...and this does get sharper on the dry down. I get that strong metallic note as well. Still, plum and tobacco remain the strongest notes on my skin.

    Silver Phoenix

I have to agree that there is definitely a violet-like note in this scent. Very reminiscent of Faith with a little pear mixed in. It does border on being "soapy" as it begins to dry down, but fortunately never quite reaches that point on my skin. Another one, I wouldn't mind having more than my decant of.

    Gold Phoenix

This is a very sunshine, bright scent. I get lemon verbena the strongest on my skin, but I also get metallic, honey, and amber-like notes as well as a faint bit of citrus orange. I really like this scent and wouldn't mind getting a full bottle of it.

    Iron Phoenix

On my skin, this is sharp, VERY sharp. Definitely picking up the metal, bitter blood, clove, and myrrh. I had tried to let this settle a couple weeks before giving up on it, but I think it might just be too much for my chemistry. It softens a little on dry down, but not enough for my tastes.

    Copper Phoenix

Wet on my skin, the pink pepper and sweet orange notes stand out above all others. As it begins to dry, the apricot note emerges. I also pick up a faint bit of rose and a little patchouli, but not in-your-face patchouli. Pink pepper note disappears entirely on dry down. Dry, this is orange, apricot, rose, and amber. This one is going to age nicely.

    Quicksilver Phoenix

Wet on my skin, this is mostly lavender. As it begins to dry, the sandalwood note emerges, but this remains most a lavender scent on my skin.

    No. 93 Engine

Wet on the skin, it's frankincense and sage. As it dries more, goes more to sage. I know this blend has a lot of different notes in it, but the sage seems to overpower just about everything else on my skin.

    Caliban

Wet on the skin, tropical aquatic plant. The more it dries, the saltier it smells. Very green scent.

    Havana

Wet on the skin, I get rooty tobacco. It's a slightly sweet tobacco too. The leather note begins to emerge on my skin during dry down, eventually replacing the snakeroot. Fully dry, it's a sweet tobacco leather scent.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Wow, yes, thanks for posting pics. I am so excited now! My Inquisitions should be in the mail tomorrow.

    Absinthe v7

The very generous fairnymph gifted me with a testable amount of this lovely scent. Sniffing the imp, I smell anise. Wet on the skin, I'm getting the following notes: anise, creamy lemon, and tea. Dries down lemon & licorice. Lemon and licorice are favorite notes of mine, so I really must track down a bottle of this for myself.

    Hod

This arrived in the mail yesterday. I immediately had to try it out even though I know I should allow these to settle overnight. Anyway, yesterday when I applied it to my skin, it was all creamy carnation with no amber even on dry down. This morning after settling overnight, I still get that gorgeous creamy carnation note, but once it fully dries, it's a soft powdery amber scent.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Here's a few phoenix labels plus the resurrecteds...

    Fenris Wolf

Wet on the skin, woody red musk. As it dries, I begin to get the amber and sandalwood notes as well, but the rosewood and red musk remain the strongest notes in this blend. Very nice.
