Vetiver, vetiver, and VETIVER. This one goes to the frimp pile.
-
Wet on my skin, violets, sandalwood and citrus. The vetiver is nearly non-existent on my skin, maybe just a trace of it but not enough to ruin the fragrance on my skin. Very nice, but definitely heavy florals.
-
Right after application, it's carnations and tea, but as it begins to dry, the rose note surfaces, but does not overpower. The carnation, rose, and tea notes are perfectly balanced on my skin. Very pleasant and wearable. Medium throw.

This blend is always so amazing on my skin. It's soft sugared tea on my skin. A trace of lemon and light skin musk. I could bathe in this stuff all day it's just so perfect on my skin.

The 2010 version seems more floral to me than the 2005 version, but that may be due to the age difference. In the 2010 version, I'm getting soft floral, something green, light snow or frost, and very light cream. Soft, subtle. Not much throw, but then the 2005 version never had much throw on me either. I'll be keeping my bottle and see how this ages in comparison with the 2005 version.

Oooh, indeed a gorgeous blend. Amber, sandalwood, and vanilla define this blend on my skin. As it begins to dry I pick up the spicy cardamom note as well. Delicate and feminine. My favorite of this year's Irish Bard scents.

Beautifully blended frankincense and herbal florals on my skin.
-
This is a dark, sensual scent on my skin. Frankincense, saffron, and cedar are strongest on my skin. The gum arabic adds just a little sweetness to the scent. Definitely a keeper.

Yes, this is sweet, creamy floral on my skin. Very soft, feminine. The amber note is very soft on my skin. I imagine this is going to be a popular blend.

I agree with fairnymph that there is definitely an anise-like note in this blend that is very reminiscent of Pink Mood, but as a lover of Pink Mood and Anise in general, I quite like this blend. The floral is almost non-existent on my skin. I can just barely register something vaguely floral on the dry down. I'm getting mostly spice, anise, and vanilla notes. This dries down to creamy anise with light spice and very faint floral.

My nose is still on the mend from a terrible head cold this week, but I am gradually getting my sense of smell back and wanted to dig into trying all my new Trading Post loot from my recent order. Mahogany Hall is amazing. It's a heavier scent, but very seductive. Spicy wood and bourbon vanilla is what my nose discerns from this blend. The smoke is very light and really adds to the overall effect of the spray. I actually cannot smell the patchouli in this. And the Cardamom is amazing when blended with the wood & moss notes.

My nose is still on the mend from a terrible head cold this week, but I am gradually getting my sense of smell back and wanted to dig into trying all my new Trading Post loot from my recent order. At first spritz, the champagne note is strongest with a slight citrus feel to it. Almost a lime citrus champagne to my nose. After a minute or two I begin to pick up the vanilla and floral notes, but champagne is still the heaviest note my nose is picking up. Very light, airy, fresh scent. I agree it has a very clean feel to it. I'm very happy I took a chance on this spray.

Love this blend. The myrrh is strongest on my skin, but I can smell the frankincense as well. This has amazing throw---a little goes a long way on my skin---and it lasts for hours.

Another one I am just getting around to reviewing. Wet on my skin, this is mostly sweet honey. A couple minutes after application, the vanilla note emerges and mixes beautifully with the honey. The amber is just barely there on my skin. Long lasting and medium throw. One of my "classic" BPAL scents.
-
This seems to be patchouli, herbs, and bitter cocoa on my skin. Definitely not for me.
-
2010: Patchouli, Balsam and Juniper are strong after initial application. Beeswax and honet make themselves known shortly after application and helps soften this scent on my skin. I rather like this one, but I think my decant is more than enough.

I definitely can pick out the blood orange, rose, and other floral notes in this blend. I'm sort of on the fence as to whether or not I like it though. It's pretty strongly floral on my skin, but I love blood orange and it's in here enough to really make me consider wearing this more often. I think I will stick with the decant though and see how it goes.

The wood and tobacco notes take center stage as soon as I apply this to my skin. I do start to smell the leather as it dries. Wood and tobacco remain strong notes throughout dry down.
-
Quite dry and medicinal....and peppery. Fades pretty fast.

I usually can't do the Chinese New Year scents, so this year I just bought a decant instead of a bottle. They always seem to go cantaloupe on my skin. This year's is better. I'm getting mostly the mandarin and cypress notes on my skin, but I do smell wafts of peach from time to time as well and something else like citrus. Not bad overall, but I am content with a decant.
-
Oh wow. Blast of cranberry and red current right after application. The cedar note is very faint on my skin, as is the floral note. I'm not getting any mint. This is really nice on my skin and I need to decide if a decant is enough.
-
Sweet honey and pepper on my skin right after application. Oakmoss and rice flower are noticeable a few minutes after application. Oakmoss seems to be keeping the honey from going too sweet in this blend. I find this to be a very gender neutral scent.
-
Rich myrrh, champaca, and apple blossom on my skin. I really like the feel of this on my skin. I foresee a bottle in my future.

Musty, a little woody as well. Definitely picking up the decay. Despite this description, it's actually not that horrible smelling. Nothing I see myself wearing regularly, but it was kind of cool to try it.

Sweet florals and grass on my skin. Very Spring-like and quite feminine.
