  1. One of my favorite Shungas! The smoky musk is fan-freaking-tastic! Very subtle with hardly any throw, but it is a mysterious, spongy? scent that is intensely gray and muted (can something be intensely muted?). I like the ambergris coming through in this blend and I'm having a hard time describing this oil in general. I like it and you should try it! What more is there to say :)

  2. Yum, yum yum! This is probably my favorite of the Shungas other than Giant Vulva :D The creaminess of the vanilla mixes with the red ginger really well! Spices it up considerably and is rounded out with the slightly bitter oakmoss. Great oil with good throw and staying power.

  3. Soft moss, vanilla musk, and cherry blossom.

Soft and pretty, this reminded me quite a bit of Spirit of the Komachi Cherry Tree (right Salon name?) Pale and predominantly floral, it's not somehting I'll reach for often, but I'm glad I tried it!

    Edit to add scent description.

  4. Dark and spicy, but not as complex as I assumed it would be. I'm getting a lot of the copal from Mictecacihuatl out of this, although the rose doesn't come through as well in this blend. Lacks the creaminess and in some ways the strangeness of Mictecac and the vagueness of this blend makes me want to swap it. Too bad, because I looked long and hard for this one :(

  5. Spices of the Orient mingle with crystalline musk, midnight flowers and cereus, jasmine, primrose and vesper iris.

Flowers, flowers, flowers. Very pretty with a hint of musk. Too much floral for my use, but floral lovers should be in heaven :)

    Edit to add scent description.

  6. OMG  I see why this one is popular! It's like a deeper, darker Geek without the pine. Faboulous mix of bourbon, smoke and grass. Rich and malevolently dark with a seductive hint of ambergris and musk. It kills me that I'll probably never find a bottle and will have to hoard my 1/3 imp like no tomorrow!

  7. What a deep, rich scent! Went on bitter and unpleasant for the first few minutes, but quickly developed into a fabulous scent! No rose on me which is strange, but the opium, amber tobacco, sandalwood and hay absolute are blending nicely. There's the faintest hint of sweetness rounding it out. Wonderful scent and definitely a keeper for me :)

  8. Hmm, sparkling and herb covered grapes out of this one. I wouldn't have guessed it was cranberries, but there is a slight tartness behind the sweet lilies. Light and fragrant. Not something I'll reach for often, but very nice!

  9. I keep hoping the Ars Draconis series will like me more, but other than a fantastic leathery romp with Dragon's Hide, this is the only one to smell good on me in the slightest. Dragon's blood is just not a good note on my skin (and I'm still only glancing warily at the Dragon's Blood frimp in my imp box...) but the sandalwood mellows this one out after a while. Gives it a pleasant, dusty flavor. Still not something I'll reach for very often, but encouraging that my Draconis luck may be changing :)

  10. Hyssop, my love! :D This is a great oil on my skin. It has the notes of win including hyssop, frankincense, vetiver and patchouli. Just snarly enough to be interesting with a deep, dark body to the smell that is sweetened just a hair by the lavender and fig. Keeper!

  11. This was a frimp from a generous swapper. I'm glad I tried this one because it's not my usual style. Sweet and refreshing , but very faint on my skin. Green tea is always a no-go, but white tea and be don't seem to do so badly.

  12. Mmm this I like! Sweet and fragrant lavender evened out with the sugar and absinthe. Very pretty and almost herbal. Wore off fairly quickly, but I won't mind re-applying it. Not sure if it's a long term keeper, but I'm liking this alot :)

  13. Woah! I'm getting a sharp nailpolish remover smell in the bottle that almost makes my eyes water. Once on the skin it mellows out considerably! This oil becomes a really sweet, light floral with a hint of juicy apple in the background. Smells like a fresh spring morning in an orchard. Good scent :D

  14. I'm coming to realize that if a blend has hyssop, I'm probably going to like it. Though this scent is faint, it glows in a really nice way! Not overtly floral, but ther's a sweetness that's rounded out with the honey, amber and musk. Beautiful scent!
