Hm, nice, very light aquatic-tinged floral. A little too heavy on the flowers for my taste. Think I'll stick with Ulalume.
-
Ew - not good! Sweet, sickly jasmine or gardenia - some kind of strong floral. Maybe some dragon's blood or something equally syrupy on my skin. Sorry little Red Devil, but you are not for me!
-
hehehehe stop nuzzling me! This is very fuzzy and odd. Dry, with the coconut husk or black coconut I got from Elegba mixed with an herby creaminess of some kind of plant like Strangler Fig. Interesting, good throw, and long lasting.
-
Oy Overwhelmingly sharp and bright tangerine mixed with the litter box shavings I often get from cedar. Drat! Very strong and sharp though, seemed to have great staying power.

Oh god, oh god, oh god! Perfection I would have sworn this contained musk, but the earthiness of this blend is undeniable. Dangerous, sexy, BAD it is everything that is good about BPAL in one little bitty imp. Strong, great throw and very determined to have its way with my skin. Top ten, no doubt.

Very resonant, powerful blend. This is what I was hoping for from Organ Grinder and what I expected Plunder to smell of to some extent. Sasparilla on my arm with a heavy, masculine blend of spices. Reminds me of Tom Waits' "Temptation" - heavy beats and slinky, exotic, sexy melody.

Good stuff! I immediatly liked this one - good throw, great staying power. Smells of dried roses like zombie, with a spicy undertone that livens it up. The dirty patchouli comes out after about an hour and blends with the rose in a great way! Keeper

Fantastic brother to Calico Jack on me Very piratey! One of the aquatics my skin can handle. It's mellowed by the spice and leather. Hot, very hot
-
Same reacton as Columbine - lemon, more lemon, and even more with a dash of lemon pledge Now that it's sat for a few hours I get some of the herbs and can see a vague resemblance to the Carnaval's L'heure Verte. I gotta say I prefer L'heure, though, overall.

I was worried this would be apricot-fest 2009 - (well what did I expect with that scent description?!?). Sadly, that's all this was on me. Lots and lots of apricot.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! This one my one of my few successes with the Snake Pit Most of the others couldn't hold their own against the glory of Snake Oil. King Cobra was just what I was hoping for - an amped up Snake Oil with different spices predominating. Decadent and nigh perfect. Not letting this one get away and I may need a bottle - I'm seriously tempted.

Yummy, warm and sexy. Some nice spice to it, but not a whole lot of distinctive character to this one. Subtle and seductive. Sort of slips around your senses. Lovely musk and a hint of mint after it's all over.

Nice, sweet floral. Okay throw and lasting power. Not really my style though. Too bad, because I love her description as Goddess of Bedlam

One of my favorite characters in Gaiman's American Gods, I was really hoping I'd be in the Czernobog love camp because Vechernayaya was allergy city. Oh my (sweet sexy death) god! This is musk at its finest! Strong, hot and blissfully overwhelming. Thank you BPAL! This is a new fave

I was rubbing my hands in gleefull anticipation for this imp filled with every one of my favorite notes pretty much Then I put it on, and had a resounding....meh?....Just not much oomph with this one, though I may have to try it again at a different time of the skin chemistry month. Smells fan-freaking-tastic on my husband though edit for typos

Uh oh...sometimes musk is my best friend and sometimes it's my worst enemy, especially when honey is involved. This was pretty dirty, sweaty, and unwashed in a bad way. I'm going to try this later though because I'm willing this to work, damn it!

Snake Oil! Why hello there, SN's naughty sister. Less vanilla, but the same spicy sexiness. Yay
-
The House of Mists, a land of icy fog, shadowy darkness and soul-chilling cold. Dark, damp blossoms winding through an impenetrable, murky gloom. Hrm, not what I was hoping for The notes sounded fantastic and perfect as a Ring Cycle fan. Unfortunately all I get is a murky, slightly sweet floral. And it just doesn't last on me! I slathered this time and there was barely any throw and it died a hushed death about fifteen miutes later. Back to the swaps pile with you, my poor little dear. Edit to add scent description.

I was frantically looking for a decant of this before the Yules went down tomorrow and was lucky enough to swap with a lightning fast shipper Now that I have it on my skin, I instantly get a wild, slightly dirty musk. There are strong swaths of pine or another sharp sap plant. The snow note comes ringing through a moment later and last to arrive are some pale flowers in the background. This is really interesting and lovely. Seems to get even better as it dries
-
I was really hoping for some dirt, but I only smell green, bitter plant juice in the imp. THat's all I get on dry down as well. Too bad I much preferred Death Cap for a dirt scent out of Rappaccini's Garden.
-
Yup, that's cranberry juice alright. I should have given this one to my husband who drinks vodka-cran's. Not my favorite and off to the swaps pile.

So confused... I get something extremely similar to Snake Oil - like SN's creamy attributes without some of the spices. I would never have guessed patchouli or orange. Ever. This is utterly delicious on me though, crazy throw and lasting power. I went to sleep with it on and woke up eight hours later with it still there. Fantastic and also somewhat reminiscent of Strangler Fig's odd vanilla smell.

Fresh, clean laundry incarnate! Lovely, but not my style. Very similar to Wensleydale, though I think he had a little more depth to me. Mmmm I do love fresh laundry, though...
-
Woah! Smells like rubbing alchohol. Not very pleasant on my skin, but it sure does have throw!
-
I've tried this out a couple times and am always pleasantly surprised I keep expecting a basic aquatic (which is hit or miss on my skin) and maybe some flowers, but the sweet freshness like breezes off a freshwater lake is so pleasant and smile-inducing I immedieately moved it to my keeper box. Not great for throw or lasting power, but a keeper nonetheless. Edit because I just read the description and that is nothing at all like what I got That faint hint of aquatic is the dominant note for me, no lily, and not really any wood either. Crazy.
