Very strange scent on me. Hot and spicy, smoldering on my skin. It loses its potency after an hour or so and then I have even more of a hard time telling what's in here Usually clove flares into the kitchen-from-hell on my skin, but this is dark and aggresive in a subtle way. I'm not sure if I'll keep this one, though it is a pleasant experience.

Very light incense and sandalwood blend. One I'm definitely adding to my beloved BPAL incense group. The only thing I wish for is that it would have more throw on me. Dusty and sweet

Freaking amazing! This is my (sort of a ) GC answer to the Giant Vulva LE that I did not stock up on enough The skin musk smells amazing! A sweet, light scent that doesn't glitter as much as Giant Vulva, but is slightly more comlex with its play of sweet and skin. Deeper and darker. Wonderful oil, completely bottle worthy.

I like this a lot more than I thought I would. Plum can go so wrong on me. Luckily this is very similar to On Darkness for me, one of my BPAL faves. Good throw and the lilac adds a bit of sweetness that is nice. There's something dry and spicy that may be the leather, though I don't get a ton of what I would call leather out of this. Good one! The surprise Marchen win for me

Dry, almost incense smell. Lots of amber and sandalwood though there's a light hint of something vaguely floral...I think. It's an interesting scent and with Bensiabel on my other arm I'm getting something really reminiscent of On Darkness.

Lovely floral! After a little over an hour it's mostly gone, but I still get hints of amber and sweet white blossoms. It's very ethereal and I lvoe the night-time air imagery

I could have sworn I reviewed this one... Dark yellow smelling oil. Very sweet on application. Definitely the perfumey-ness others have mentioned. I do sense the dark moss in the background though and I'm crossing my fingers the amber will come out more later. Sharp and scorching my nose, that's for sure

Good stuff! Almost a citrus hint to it, but that may be because it smells so clean. I'm liking the slight muskiness mixed with the amber. Sweet and complex. edit: well, mandarin would certainly give it a citrus smell Maybe I'll read the description closer next time...

Very nice! I really like the grey amber I've been trying in some of these salons like Bat. Sweet and lovely, not alot of throw but I'm glad I tried this

Eek! I am always nervous about trying cologne-based blends because my skin turns them sickly smelling and rank. This went even more horribly wrong than Toad. The blood and bourbon didn't help in the sickly-sweet area. I was really hoping to buck the odds with this one. Off to a new home!

Oh Silas! This is love Sexy, dusty, musty and spicy. Dark scent that has a masculine edge to it. This has pretty much every note I love blended together fantastically! I'd keep it even if I didn't love it so, since it reminds me of Silas the vampire in Gaiman's Graveyard Book

Venerable Victorian Tea Roseā¦ twisted, blackened and emboldened with wickedness. A basic red rose scent on me. Pretty, but fades quickly. Think I'll stick with Zombi or L'heure Verte for my rose needs.
-
Not a bad rose scent, strong and sharp when wet, but dries to a dark and powdery rose. Nice!

Mmm rum and clove. This has hardly any throw, but is earthy and warm and yummy.

Hmmm smells very pretty in the imp, but all I get coming off my skin is lavender. Lots and lots of lavender. It's a light, sweet and creamy lavender, but not much else for me here.

Sweet desert vanilla ice-cream with a slight fruitiness to it. Reminds me a LOT of Love's Philosophy. Not quite what I was hoping for with those nice oak notes and such, but you can't win 'em all and it is a nice scent, just not one I'll probably hold onto.

Slightly sharp and aggresive aquatic. The ambergris reminds me of Frederic, but I get almost a citrus feel from this one somehow. The salty kelp is really nice and I don't get pear overload as I feared Subtle, orange feeling blend tahat has alot of depth when you get close enough to snuffle it. I think I prefer Frederic, but maybe I'll test them both sometime and see who wins.

I would not have guessed there was amber or leather in here, though that is why I tracked an imp of this down - drat it... The citrus really amps on me and it's a refreshing light tea and citrus blend with only a hint of deeper, darker things. Pretty and I think I'll try again with this one later.

Vanilla cream and lots of fruit. Not my cup o' tea at all but very pleasant. I was hoping the Egyptian amber would rear its lovely head, but so fa no luck. Good throw, though!

Light citrus with a hint of incense. The incense is finally coming to the surface a half hour or so after application. Subtle and nice. I'll probably give this one another go, but I tend to like my incense's more full-bodied.

Big time morpher. On wet this was the smell of fresh baked gooey cinnamon rolls all brown sugar and cinnamon. Then it dried all the way and I was left with a lght, creamy floral with lots of sugar. Not bad, but not as tasty as when it was wet.

Oooh this is like the older, more sophisticated sister to Ginnevre L'artist du Diable on me The hyssop is really lovely and the frankincense gives it an ethereal, dusty quality without going powdery. Light throw but good staying power. Keeper!

This blend smells absolutely amazing! dark, sweet, spicy - I get alot of the ginger and pepper. The oakmoss gives it some depth and the patchouli comes through here better than almost any other oil I've tried. This is rivaling Satan and Sin with Death Intervening for me

Rich, smoky dark musk and resin. I should love this...but for some reason it's not quite hitting on all cylinders for me A hair too strong and sharp on my skin without the depth I get from alot of musks. Too bad. Edit: Hrm. Tried again a few years later - all powder all the time now.

This is a wonderfully complex blend for so few notes It's slightly spicy autumn leaves. There's a creaminess to it I can't quite put my finger on. No sense of rose whatsoever! Creamy, spicy version of October on me. Yay
