Do I like you? Do I hate you? I can't decide! It's like when your cat sniffs a spot on the floor and pulls his lips back to show his teeth. The moss, sage and vetiver give it a quick burst of bitter sharpness that's soon sweetened into a gooey, dark brown mass with the caramel and lilac. God knows I love black musk... Well??? I don't think anyone else will want to smell it on me (hubby hates it) but I'm keeping it. Cause I like it....?

Lavender, Balkan tobacco, black musk, dark vanilla, and golden copaifera. This was a big burst of lavender as expected, but it mellowed out into a really interesting blend of light and dark scents. This need further testing for sure. iiiiiinteresting edit to add scent description

This is a surprise I was expecting to smell like I'd rubbed myself with kitchen herbs like Santa Eularia des riu (sp?) but this is lovely and strong in a good way! That said, I love pine so that may have somethiong to do with it because any sap-type smell tends to win me over. Dry and beautiful with good throw. I know it would help to enable a rosemary loving friend, but I don't really want to give it away!

Ew. This is one of the few bpal's that smells genuinely bad on me - like those cute satsuma oranges at Christmas that have gone bad I'm going to blame it on the licorice because my skin gets along pretty well with vetiver, but this is a definite no go.

Very light and pretty floral musk. Ultra feminine. Doesn't have the sugar buzz of Giant Vulva for me that I was kind of hoping for (especially with a note like flowering sugarcane). Nice but this one's off to swaps. Pretty bottle art!
-
I get the peach right away and this is a very "flowery" scent in a way though there's only carnation and honeysuckle listed. Light, sweet and feminine with a heavy dash of peach in the foreground. Pretty but not my cup of tea. oooh the patchouli just kicked in though. Hm. I love patchouli... makes this dryer and dustier. I still think I'll end up sending this one down the road to the swaps pile.

Lots of rose of course and a dark spice that I thought was clove, but I see is cinnamon. The combination is very pretty and surprisingly subtle since I tend to amp both rose and spice, but not really for me.
-
Hm, very pretty. Creamy and floral feminine scent. A bit of musk, but mostly sweeeeet floral overload on me. Not for me, but very nice!
-
Oh my goodness this smells so good! Very light and slightly musky when first applied, this has spread out and strengthened into a dry, slightly dusty red musk and vanilla scent. Dark and warm - I looooooove this!! And I'm sure it's going to be hard to find (sigh)

I get a sharp, almost alchoholic smell of of this at first then the marigold and chrysanthemem starts coming through. What saves this from being all floral is the vanilla that really only came out on my wrists (where it might have mixed a bit with some leftover Tiresias). When that note comes out it's absolutely lovely!

This was a bit harsh and floral on me. It softened up after awhile and the rose became more prominent. Hours later I still have some jasmine and a bit of frankincense. Not for me
-
Slightly powdery and sweet at first. The vanilla is very prominent in this blend. Mellows and rounds out after sitting for about an hour. Very light throw. More SN-ish than others in the snakepit. Not quite up to King Cobra goodness, but one of the best in the snakepit on my skin so far.

Ozone and leather in a very strong combination. The myrrh adds some spicy sweetness in the background. Good throw - keeper

Holy god, this is amazing! I wasn't even going to try this one but luckily was frimped it by a generous soul. Green tea is usually pretty bad on me and blueberry is one of my least favorite fruit smells, but this is one of the most vibrant, lush, golden scents I've ever smelled! It's bursting with juicy lusciousness. It's amazing and I can't even put my finger on what makes it so good. Damn -
Lots of sweet, sparkling tea rose and lilac here Very sweet and refreshing like walking through a blossoming garden on a summer morning. Just lovely!
-
Dry, spicy tea rose here. Dusty and slightly woodsy. Very nice and atmospheric with light throw. Not something I'd reach for often, but I'm glad I tried it!
-
Lots of white sage and lemon from this one. Light and refreshing was not what I expected, but this is very enjoyable. Decent throw and some staying power. Nice
-
This is very pretty, but better in its early stages on me. After a few hours I get a vaguely orange cream scent with very light throw. A little too sweet and the flowers brightened it up earlier. Pretty good staying power though.
-
Uh oh, this does not like me from the get-go. Cloying currant and rhubarb. I'm hoping the other notes kick in and soon!
-
ye gods this smells good wet. Golden pear with rich amber and a dusty, musty background. Then it dries and just kind of frittters away off my skin I might need to try this in a scent locket. It's so good wet!
-
This is an aggressively green, fresh scent. Lots of tea and wasabi. This has mellowed quite a bit since I first received my velvet decants and the cedar and sharp organic scents mix up into a very refreshing summer bpal
-
Mmm, my personal favorite of the velvets Dark and sweet. This is a very subtle scent that just slinks around throwing out whiffs of musk and wood sweetened with a hint of vanilla. Mouth watering. I need to get pro-active about finding more of this!
-
Pear! Sweet and lovely. Feminine and fresh with some flowers thrown in. Works better than any pear scent I've tried so far
-
Sweet and fresh with a watery quality to it. This would make a great bath scent Makes me feel squeaky clean just smelling it! A bit cloying, but very pretty.

Yay yay yay!! <happy dance> I was a little nervous about the cinnamon overload some people have gotten from this since I'm not a big spice lover, but this works really well One of the few snake pit oils that work on me as well as SO by itself (King Cobra's the other one). Very strong cinnamon at first, but it started blending and playing well with the other notes after about half an hour. Smelled fantastic next to the Nany Ashtoreth on my other arm, so I might need to experiment with layering these two.
