I've only tried this once and when I try it again, I will have more to add. Samhain seems to be very well blended because I really couldn't pick out any individual notes, besides apple. It mostly smelled of apple to me, plus I think I get a hint of leaves and autumn, but mostly apple.

You finally got it! I had a hunch that those two might compliment each other and I hope they do for you!

diabolique, I swear that I have an imp of Zombi I've been meaning to swap!

I got LXXIV. This scent doesn't seem to be that complex at all to my nose, which I was a little worried about, as sometimes I can't pick out notes. Anyway, this smells very, very strongly of almonds, with a little cherry and vanilla mixed in. It's a little overpowering wet, but when it dries down it's nice and soft. This is the first BPAL scent that my mom commented on, without me asking her first. As I get in the car she says, "Oooh, that smells good! What is it?!" And this is coming from the person that despises all perfumes.

This kind of has the sweetish, sticky smell of Old New Orleans, but it has a hint of spice underneath. It hasn't dried yet, so I'll see if it changes. I also have no idea what Bay Rum is supposed to smell like, but I like it so far. ADDED July 18: Ugh, all I get from this is a strong peanut smell, which makes me feel nauseated, though that could be from my imp being in the heat so long.

Also, when you do a search remember to search any date! I just looked up cabaret and clicked on that search feature and it came up. It took me forever to figure that out and I would get frustrated when I couldn't find a review.

This is a very boozy and sexy scent. I think someone said it smells like cherry liquer and that is exactly what it smells like. I thought it might be too sweet for me, but I really love the heady feel it has.

So far, this has a warm, sandy and beachy smell to it. I also think I can detect a hint of saffron.

This had a sweet, fruity smell on me, which I didn't particularly like. Unfortunately, I wore it to bed, so that's all I smelled.

First try: It seems like it smells like black pepper to me, but I think it's the nutmeg. And yes it is, because it's dried a little bit and smell very much like nutmeg. Still need to test it some more.

This made my noise tingle. All I can smell are the apples, and I'm thinking that although apples taste great, I don't really want to smell like them. It's also a little too sweet for my tastes. It does have an apple sparkler smell to it, kind of sparkly, which could be the "dew." It's sparkley and bubbley.

This smells very clean to me, almost like soap. I also get the kind of green, aquatic notes as others have mentioned. Overall, I don't really think it's me and aquatic and green scents just don't seem to like me.

Pretty much what everyone else said. I don't mind waiting for anything as good as the oils you create. And I think adding the 21 days gives you a little more leeway, and I just hope everyone that reads that realizes it's business days, because sometimes I forget and think, oh, only three weeks, when really it's just weekdays!

Your Best-Bet "Must Try" Enabling Scents
friendthegirl replied to magpiedee's topic in Recommendations
1. Old Morocco - Sexy substitute for Snake Oil, which is a little less cloying to me. 2. Queen Mab - Good all around scent. 3. Embalming Fluid - "Interesting" name, but who doesn't love a light lemon scent? 4. Come to Me - Introduction to the Voodoos, plus, who wouldn't like a little help in this area? 5. Include the receiver's sign, so it may vary, obviously. I know that's only five, but I need to work on the rest. -
This smelled really chocolately when I first put it on, but it's settled down now to a smooth, rich and smoky scent. And I mean smoky in the best sense of the word. Like the fabric, this scent would be best in Autumn and Winter.

Yeah, both of the Limited Edition ones don't really sounds like ones to wear but more for rituals, which I why I think I'm deciding to not buy them.

So, Blue Moon sounds like it will be a green/foresty scent? I looked up some of the notes and that's what it seems like to me, though I'm not for sure. I don't think it's for me, unfortunately. ((
-
Those went fast! Thanks for the update!
-
Yeah, right now, just for Blue Moon. That is the first one coming out right? I need to go read Beth's post again.
-
Yeah, I think I'm going to need to jump on someone else's order. Who wouldn't mind?!
-
I also would love descriptions! I'm dying to try Blue Moon now, since it's sounds very limited.

This wasn't tropical to me at all, but more a nice, light floral scent. It smells like lush blooms and a wafting breeze. Very light.

Best BPALs for SUMMER - is it hot, sweltering, sticky outside?
friendthegirl replied to Donnababe's topic in Recommendations
Embalming Fluid would be nice for hot weather. -
ohmygoshohmygosh! I just noticed the rest of the update! Lady of Shallot and Mata Hari and Rebecca! I think I really am going to swoon! I am seriously going to start saving now.

This smells exactly like Baklava or one of those other very sweet Middle Eastern desserts. ADDED Nov. 18: This smells like baklava to me, which I can only attribute to the honey.
