When I sniffed this in the bottle I fell in love with it. I was very worried about the musk in it though. My chemistry tends to amp up musk and make it smell well, like a funky locker room on me, so yeah I was a bit worried. I figured if my skin didn't like it, I could still use it in a sachet or something. I shouldn't have worried, the other scents were blended perfectly with the musks so it came out as a lovely incense-y sweet, dark scent that works wonderfully on my skin! Unlike some of my other favorite scents (other than Fenris Wolf and Sacred Whore) where my skin eats the scent in a few hours, Blood Moon LASTS on me! I put it on before I went to my aunt and uncle's house at 2pm and it's 3:30am and I can still sniff it on my wrists! The initial scent: Fairly sweet and musky a bit strong. Dry down: more herby, sweet and getting more of an incense scent. What it finally settled down to: A wonderful mix of all the above with a nice musky undertone that never morphed to that locker room scent I was worried about. What it smells like over 12 hours later: what's left is faint incense and a sweet musk. Faint but it's still there. The ONLY bad part about this scent that I have... I only bought one bottle!! I wish I'd have bought more!

I got two bottles of CT2:Butterfly Effect one for me and one for my husband. I had to try both out. Good thing I did. CCCXXX (330): in the bottle: a bizarre mix of a floral note, amber, and a lt musk and/or Dragon's Blood maybe? I'm not too good at picking out individual notes. First: the floral almost completely vanishes, the amber/musk/dragon's blood are amped up. My chemestry always does that to those scents. After a few hours: The amber is still there, but the floral is creeping back in. It's a very nice scent. A few more hours later: It's turned to a powder scent. It smells like the facial powder my grandma used. This is one very weird scent. CCCXLI (341? I think that's correct) In the bottle: OMG it's gag inducing!!! I literally gagged when I sniffed in the bottle. It smells like hot buttered rum, with WAY too much butter and throw some popcorn in there as well. The buttery scent overwhelms EVERYTHING and is the reason I gagged. I did test this on my skin after a very long debate. I was afraid I'd smell like the inside of a old popcorn bag that has had rum spilled on it for hours. at first: I got a slightly buttery scent but none of the rum or popcorny scent. After the next few minutes it turned a complete floral with almost no trace of the dreaded butter/rum/popcorn. After a couple of hours: It now smells like suntan lotion. Not straight from the bottle suntan lotion, but what you would smell on a crowded beach. Not overwhelming, but it has a decidely beachy smell to it, with a light floral floating through it. It smells of a beach on an island, sun, sand, ocean and suntan lotion. While at the edge of the beach there are flowers growing and you can only smell them if the wind is from the right direction. After a couple of more hours: OK the tropical island getaway on my wrists is no more now it's just a floral. A very nice floral, but not the cool cheap tropical getaway that it was a couple of hours prior. I like both of them, OK not CCCXLI in the bottle, but I like both of them on. I guess the jury is still out on these. I'm not disappointed in them, I'm just not super thrilled with them. I don't know if I can talk my self into opening CCCXLI again though. As I already have a 5ml of flower moon and Chiroptera I don't think I will need another floral. I might trade for another CT2 scent for this one. I may see about trading both. I really like CCCXXX but it turns sort of sweet and powdery on me, Not too sure if I want to sniff like my grandma after a few hours. I will decide later and if I do want to trade one or both it will be for another CT2.

Dark musk and black amber with frankincense, red sandalwood, neroli and bergamot. WHen I first put this on it seemed a bit sharp to me. But almost instantly it seemed to mellow to a lovely warm scent. I'm enjoying this very much. It's on my list of must wear again! So far nothing is topping my beloved Fenris Wolf, but this is a very close second! I'm getting quite a bit of frankincese and sandalwood. THis is not a bad thing, just a bit unexpected. I'm currently not getting any of the neroli or bergamot. The bergamot might have been the sharp note I detected in the beginning.

Oh dear. I think I'm in love! I originally purchased this for my husband, yeah... I think I'm gonna fight him for this one! I definitely have to buy a big bottle of this. My husband is currently in California for school and I have a feeling that when he gets a sniff of this on me we will be bothering the roommates! He loves amber on me and I ADORE musk on him! I have a feeling that this is going to end up as a scent we will only wear when we plan on staying in! I think I'm addicted. Images/feelings I got when I put it on: Blood red color and VERY feral! A wolf/fox/large cat running through the forest on the hunt, during a hot summer night. It makes me want to howl. Edit: It's now close to 21 hours since I put Fenris wolf on. I can STILL smell it on my wrists! OK I have to put my nose right up to my arm, but it is still definately there. My chemestry does seem to make amber/musk/sandalwood last forever on my skin.
