    Embalming Fluid

In the imp: Lemon and aloe. Clean, but not like Lysol or another lemon cleaner. It's delicate. Can't detect musk at all, which is good. After 5 minutes: Lovely, clean lemon! The tea and aloe linger in the back, preventing this from turning into a lemon pine sol scent. After 30 minutes: The musk is coming out, unfortunately. But the lemon still stands out. After an hour: The white musk is overpowering. A bit too much. The lemon, aloe and tea linger in the background when I want them to stand out. Overall: I was expecting to love this. But the musk overpowers the lemon and aloe, and I don't really like musky scents. It wasn't headachy, but it doesn't smell as clean as I would like it.

    Scarecrow

In the imp: Dry hay. Maybe a grassy note in there. After 5 minutes: Dry hay. No change from the imp. It's clean, and makes me feel like Dorothy in Kansas. After 10 minutes:No change, but here's a story. I posted this somewhere else, but I don't remeber where, so I'm writing it again. I walked by my roommates room. She asked if removed my nailpolish. I said no. She said I smelled like nail polish remover. But that is smells nice. I sad I was wearing perfume, and she smelled my wrist, and said she really liked it. She liked the smell of nail polish remover. I realized that the nail polish remover note is in this, but it's not overpowering and disgusting. Like my roommate said, in this scent, I like the smell of nail polish remover! Overall: Wasn't expecting it to last, but it does! It doesn't change. And it does smell like nail polish remover, but it's clean and interesting and atmospheric nail polish remover. I will buy a big bottle!

    White Rabbit

I had an imp, and loved it, so I got a big bottle. The imp and the bottle smell different! But, the end result was the same. I'll review both. In the imp: Honey, tea, and ginger. Clean, not too sweet. After 10 minutes: The honey amps and the ginger balances it out making it sweet enough for me to like it, but not too sweet to give me headache. I can't stop smelling myself. After 30 minutes: The linen finally comes out! It's strange, almost as if it shouldn't blend together, but it works. Every time I take a step, I smell honey and ginger, and lingering along is the linen, like a rabbit running to a tea party!! After and hour: Honey, tea, linen. Beautiful. In the bottle: Sour milk and rotting honey. It smells....wrong. Like I got the wrong scent, or one of the oils went bad. It's actually quite disgusting, and I want to get rid of it. DIsappoined because the imp was beautiful! After 10 minutes: Sour biscuit. I want the sour milk to go away! I'll wait though because I loved the imp so much. But I don't know how much longer I can stand it. At least the ginger is coming through. After 30 minutes: Finally starting to smell like the imp! The clean honey finally came out. THe sour milk went away. And the ginger and linen follow through in the background! After and hour: Just like the imp! I'm glad! Overall: Beautiful, lasting scent. Like Jezebel, but instead of flowers in the background it's linen. It's a clean sweet scent. It smells like the White Rabbit!

    Kumiho

In the imp: Clean, delicate, sharp, strong. White tea and ginger, and I detect a bit of (white?) musk in the background. I love it and can't wait to try it. After 5 minutes: Actually, not even that long, and I can't smell a thing on me. I ask my boyfriend. He can't smell it either. Overall I love it! It's beautiful....in th imp. Clean, refreshing, summer scent. In the imp it smells as if it would last. But it goes away quickly and smells like nothing.

    Two, Five & Seven

In the imp: Sweet Roses. Very delicate, feminine. Lovely. After 5 minutes: Same as in the imp, but it's already fading as it dries down. After 10 minutes: It's fading even more! I don't want it to go away. I love roses, but this scent is not lasting. After 30 minutes: Nothing. Literally, nothing. It's gone. Overall: It's a very delicate, girly, sweet scent. But after 10 minutes, I can't smell a darn thing! And it was so pretty too! No big bottle for me. I used most of the imp in a day to smell anything, so I'd use the bottle in a week!!!

    Ode on Melancholy

In the bottle: Sharp smell of Lavender. Nothing else. After 5 minutes: The Lavender is still prominent, but there is a podery note in the background. Maybe the roses (?). But there is such a faint trace that I was sure it was going to go away. There something citrusy, but it could be the lavender giving that impression. Not sure I think this scent is special yet. Just lavender really. Love lavender, but don't think I could wear it on me all day. After 10 minutes: The powdery note goes away, but a sweetness comes out and balances with the overpowering lavender! It's a lovely mix. The lavender isn't too strong because of the other light flowers. It is a sad smell. It is the essence of the poem! After 30 minutes: I know this scent will last! It's not a particularly complicated scent. It's clean, and floral, and delicate. I love it! Overall: I don't know about a big bottle, just yet. Maybe in the winter, but it is lovely. I can't wear lavender all day because it gives me a slight headache after a while, but this didn't. And it lasts! ALL DAY! Maybe a big bottle in the winter... (By the way, this is my third review, and this is hard!!! )

    Jezebel

In the bottle: Super sweet cough syrup or a very sweet fruit punch. I wan't sure if I even wanted to try it on, but I did, and I'm glad! After 30 minutes: It smells of honey and faint traces of powdery rose(?) or another delicate flower. It's lovely, very feminine. I put on just a little, but it smells strong, and the honey radiates from my skin. Next time I should put on less. But, the strength doesn't give me a headache. It's honey sweet and I can't stop smelling myself! The next morning: Yes, finally! A lovely smell that lasts...and lasts....and lasts! I still smell the honey! I only shower in the mornings, so I didn't wash off the Jezebel from the day before, and I woke up sniffing my hair becuase it smelled gorgeously of honey! This smell lasts on me. And nothing usually does. I end up reapplying perfumes all day long becuase scents just don't stay on me. But I need to buy another bottle of this!

    Helena

This was my first big bottle and it's my favorite BPAL scent so far! In the bottle it smells exactly as it does on me, which is not usually the case. Roses, waterlily, and jasmine. The smell stays on my skin and doesn't change all day. The combination of the florals mix well enough together that one doesn't really overpower the other, but I can tell that they're all there. It's a clean sweet scent. It's powdery, but not too strong and overpowering. Not sickly sweet, but nice and delicate. I put it on in the morning and can smell it all day into the evening. It's beautiful. Not for everyone, but it's a smell I love and have been looking for!
