La Bella Donna Della Mia Mente

Bottle (Imp): Kinda fresh and kinda sweet. Just On: Sweet fresh air. An hour or two later: Nice fresh sweet breezes. Around 6 hours: Fresh breeze, a tiny hint of sweet. 12 hours: Another burst of sweetness, carried oin a fresh breeze. Overall: This is definitely one I'd like to get more of. I had no expectations, and I really like this scent. After reading other reviews: I got none of the floweryness, and all of the wonderful fruity sweetness out of this one. It hits the big bottle list.

    Mantis

Bottle (Imp): Pretty sweet, and a touch flowery. Just On: Citurs, sweet and flowers. An hour or two later: Hints of citrus and some flowers. Around 6 hours: A touch of soapiness, mostly a bit of flowers. 12 hours: It's all gone. Overall: I rather like it, but I'm not sure if it's enough to make the big bottle list. After reading other reviews: I definitely got the citrus. This didn't last quite as long as some others on me.

    Belladonna

Bottle (Imp): This is interesting. It's almost minty, but not mint; almost medicinal, but not quite antiseptic; almost green but not quite herby. Just On: A bit antiseptic-like. Almost like mouthwash. An hour or two later: Hmm, a touch of a bandaid scent in there. Kinda neat really. Around 6 hours: Cough syrup? 12 hours: Dank cough syrup? Overall: Not really a keeper for me. After reading other reviews: Yep, medicinal, which unfortunately stayed for pretty much the whole time.

    Ultraviolet

Bottle (Imp): Hmm, an almost minty floral scent. Just On: I'm getting more mintyness, and a very faint hint of flowers. An hour or two later: Faint flowers, but not much. Nice flowers. Around 6 hours: Powdery flowers, quite faint. 12 hours: A bare tiny hint of powdery flowers. Overall: This is gorgeous. After reading other reviews: It lasted pretty well on me, compared to other reviewers. I think this is a big bottle scent, as it works quite well on me.

    Veil

Bottle (Imp): Very smooth and sweet. Just On: More smooth than sweet. An hour or two later: Still smooth with the sweetness winding its way in and out. Around 6 hours: Nice and smooth, and fading. 12 hours: Smoothly gone. Overall: I like this one. After reading other reviews: This didn't come out very floral at all on me, which is probably for the best.

    Namaste

Bottle (Imp): Hmmm, a little sharp. Just On: Mostly sharp with an undercurrent of sweet. An hour or two later: Ooh, there's fruit in here, that's the sweet. Not sharp now. Around 6 hours: Back to a little sharp, and a bare undercurrent of sweet. 12 hours: It's all faded away to nothing now. Overall: Interesting, and nice in it's way. Not my type really. After reading other reviews: Ahhh, so the lemongrass is the fruit thing. How interesting. It was too well blended to get the other scents picked out, and is probably not something I'd buy more of.

    Velvet

Bottle (Imp): Chocolate! Just On: Very very chocolate. An hour or two later: Chocolate yumminess. Around 6 hours: Barely there chocolate. 12 hours: Gone. Gimme chocolate. Overall: I love love love this. After reading other reviews: I got much more chocolate than wood out of this one.

    Saturnalia

Bottle (Imp): Quite smooth. Something I'm unfamiliar with, or possibly am familiar with, but just mixed differently. Just On: Hmmm, this doesn't smell very good on me. An hour or two later: My skin turns this to yuck. Around 6 hours: <choke> 12 hours: It's very faded, and my skin ever did let it get nice. Overall: This is a swapper for sure. Too bad, I wanted to like it. After reading other reviews: This is a vetiver blend that I absolutely cannot wear.

    Vicomte de Valmont

Bottle (Imp): Cologne! Just On: Definitely cologne. An hour or two later: Oh yah, this is cologne. Around 6 hours: Cologne. 12 hours: Faded cologne. Overall: I would love to smell this on my Dad. After reading other reviews: Although it is masculine, I can wear this (I used to dab on my Dad's cologne every so often, so I'm not afraid to 'smell like a guy'). Probably not something I'd reach for often though.

    Debauchery

Bottle (Imp): Hmmm, perhaps civet? Just On: I'm thinking civet. An hour or two later: Ew. My skin wrecks this one. Around 6 hours: Blargh, this one is obviously a total no go for me. 12 hours: It's mostly gone, but that faint yuckiness is there. Overall: Not a keeper at all for me. After reading other reviews: BLAMO civet. This is obviously a civet that does not work well on me (some do, some don't it's strange). Can't say that I'll keep this one around.

    Rapture

Bottle (Imp): Hmm, not quite musk or civet, but evocative of them. Just On: I'm gonna say musk. An hour or two later: Musk with something else peeking out. Around 6 hours: Yep, it's musk. 12 hours: Faded musk. Overall: I actually kinda like it in a way. After reading other reviews: Ding ding ding... it has musk, and apparently that is what took over this scent almost completely. It's a decent musk, and works okay on me. I can't say that I got sexy out of this one at all.

    Golden Priapus

Bottle (Imp): Hmm, I'm not sure on this one. Just On: Rather sharp herbs, maybe watery ones. An hour or two later: Back to herbs with just a just of sweetness. Around 6 hours: Slightly sweet herbs. 12 hours: Bits of fresh herbs, slightly sweetened. Overall: I think this is a winner. Maybe not a big bottle, but enjoyable. After reading other reviews: Boy, the vanilla sweetened up the other stuff, but I didn't really smell it as vanilla. Nor did I get any woods out of it. I got nothing sexy, in fact, this was a very bland scent for me. But it smelled good, and I enjoyed what I did get.

    The Lady of Shalott

Bottle (Imp): Slightly sweet and quite fresh. Just On: Very very green. An hour or two later: Gorgeous green herbs. Around 6 hours: This is almost totally gone, just barely herby. 12 hours: All gone. Overall: Very nice. After reading other reviews: I didn't seem to get the flowers, the soap, nothing like what so many others did. I like this one.
  14. OriginalWacky

    Wanton

Bottle (Imp): A touch gritty, somewhat animalistic. Just On: About the same, but with an undertone of flowers. An hour or two later: Hmmm, this might be patchouli. Patchouli and a bare bit of flowers. Around 6 hours: Yeah, some incensy patchouli. I'm liking this one. 12 hours: Patchouli, yummm. Overall: What a lovely scent this is. After reading other reviews: I didn't really get the sandalwood on this one, but it worked quite well, and is a keeper.

    Mad Hatter

Bottle (Imp): Mint! Just On: Mint, mint, mint. An hour or two later: Yummy mint. Drool-worthy. Around 6 hours: Mint with a base of something a touch powdery. 12 hours: It's gone, gone, gone. Overall: I love it. After reading other reviews: Obviously I get NOTHING but pennyroyal out of this.
  16. OriginalWacky

    The Dormouse

Bottle (Imp): Smells pretty fresh and clean. Just On: Quite fresh and clean, possibly flowery. An hour or two later: Fresh and breezy, just a hint of nice dryer sheets. Around 6 hours: Fresh and breezy, just a hint sweet. 12 hours: Last bits of fresh breeziness. Overall: I really like this one. It's yummy. After reading other reviews: Hmm, I didn't get fruit. Just flowers, a breeze, and freshness.
  17. OriginalWacky

    The Magician

Bottle (Imp): Herby with just the tiniest hint of mint. Just On: Yeah, I get the herbs, and not quite mint, but something reminiscent of it. An hour or two later: Herbs. Yum herbs. Around 6 hours: It's woody herbs. 12 hours: It's gone. Overall: I like this well enough, though there are others I like more. After reading other reviews: Hmm. I guess I just got the herbs, and notthe rest of the stuff others did. (Footnote: I'm listening to music as I post these, and when I got to this one and was just writing these last lines, O Fortune [Carmen Burina] came on my player. I find that oddly appropriate.)

    Kether

Bottle (Imp): Woodsy and herby. Just On: Herby and woodsy. An hour or two later: Sweet herbs and woods, and quite faded. Around 6 hours: Barely there herbs and wood. 12 hours: Nothing left. Overall: This is pretty pleasant all in all. After reading other reviews: Hm, I didn't get the cinnamon out of this one. I like it muchly, and got more wood and herbs out of it.

    Netzach

Bottle (Imp): This smells sweet, woodsy, and perhaps a flower sneaks in there. Just On: This gets a LOT lighter on my skin, immediately. An hour or two later: Hmm, sweet woody flowers that are almost soapy. Around 6 hours: Soap. Dammit. 12 hours: Soapy soap soap. Overall: Well, my skin totally wrecked this one. After reading other reviews: Aha, it's *that* rose note that goes to instant soap on me. Like I'd know the difference. Anyhow, this isnot going to be a very good one for me, as the soapy smell is overwhelming.

    Al Azif

Bottle (Imp): This has some bite to it, but I don't know what exactly it is. Just On: Hmmm, smooth with a bite. An hour or two later: Smooth with a bite. Some kind of familiar spice. Around 6 hours: Some bite, some spice, all fading. 12 hours: It's left. Overall: I like it, but I'm not dying for more of it. After reading other reviews: I didn't get syrup at all, which is probably good, or I might have cried that I didn't get more.

    Queen of Clubs

Bottle (Imp): Oooh, this smells sweet. Just On: Sweet, and very very rich. A bit of freshness weaving its way in and out of the sweetness. An hour or two later: Somewhat sweet, fresh, and still quite rich. Around 6 hours: Sweet woods and herbs. 12 hours: It's obvious this is the complement to King of Clubs. Overall: This is a very nice scent. After reading other reviews: I think I do like the Queen marginally better than the king, because I get more complexity from her. They are both nice though.
  22. OriginalWacky

    King of Spades

Bottle (Imp): Oooh, sweet plum? I *like* this one. Just On: Yummy sweet plum. An hour or two later: <homer voice> Mmm, plum. </homer voice> Around 6 hours: Little bit of plum. 12 hours: It's gone now. Overall: I *really* like this one. After reading other reviews: I get more plum than anything else out of this.

    King of Clubs

Bottle: Smells like a more masculine Queen of Clubs. Just On: Yes, a more masculine Queen, and nice, but probably not quite my style. An hour or two later: Yes, like the Queen of Clubs, but with cologne added in. I like it okay, but it's not to die for as far as I'm concerned. Around 6 hours: It's very faded, just barely there now. 12 hours: All gone. Overall: I like it well enough, but am not upset to have swapped it for a much loved LE. After reading other reviews: I too think that this was very well blended and wasn't able to pick out notes. It's a lovely scent, and probably not one I'd reach for a lot.

    Miskatonic University

Bottle (Imp): Creamy Irish coffee. Just On: Oh, delicious creamy Irish coffee. An hour or two later: This is heaven. Another astounding hit for me. I should have ordered way more. But for some reason, bouncing checks for BPAL just isn't a good thing. Around 6 hours: Gorgeous coffee. 12 hours: Little bit of coffee and cream left. Overall: Absolutely OMFG on this one. This I can see paying obscene amounts for (though not as high as EBay seems to take things). After reading other reviews: I never did get the library book smell, but this is still heven in a bottle. I'm certainly going to be ready to buy more of this if I can find any chance. It all gets snapped up before I can get it. <sigh>

    Shub-Niggurath

Bottle (Imp): Hello, Ginger! Just On: Sweet ginger, but not too sweet. I see where the comparison to Gingerbread Poppet comes in (I tried SO hard to avoid reviews and such). An hour or two later: More ginger than anything. Around 6 hours: Okay, it went through the last of the ginger, and left. 12 hours: Gone. Overall: I can't decide. This might be a total keeper, as in never pry it out of my cold dead hands, or it might be something I'm not as fond of. Gonna have to try again later. After reading other reviews: Satan's Gingersnap? Not quite, to my nose, but still damned good. I'm so wavering back and forth on this, I think I need to put my bottle away for a month, and then try again, totally fresh. I have to figure out if this is an absolute fanatic need to get oil, or one that I feel so-so about.
