    Hunter Moon 2004

Bottle (Imp): It's a little sweet, and a little sharp. I can't pick anything out, and can't decide whether or not I like it. Just On: Smells a little like animals, and maybe grassy or woodsy? An hour or two later: Ooh. I'm sitting on a porch in autumn sipping on really mild blackberry wine. This is gorgeous. No more animals, no woods or grass... instead it's the wine with a hint of fresh fall air. Around 6 hours: The wine really coming out in this. This makes me want to brew some homemade wine really bad. It's sweet, and lovely. 12 hours: Mmm, tobacco smoke with a very slight hint of wine smell, like there is the tiniest bit left in a glass and I'm having a peaceful smoke on the veranda. Overall: I wondered at first if I would like this, and after it dries, my answer is YES. I'm not desperate to buy more, I still have higher ranked scents, but I don't think I would turn down more if it weren't too spendy. After reading other reviews: It looks like my nose agreed with a lot of folks in reviews. I certainly like the way it sits on me, and it had some fair staying power. I'll certainly be keeping this, and if the chance comes, I wouldn't complain about getting more. I still lean towards the really foody scents more, but this is pleasant.

    Chaste Moon 2005

Bottle (Imp): This smells a little sweet, and maybe some kind of flowers? Just On: Not quite as sweet, and just a hint of sharp, but not really unpleasant. An hour or two later: This is a soft, sweet scent, maybe some light florals with some hint of sugaryness. There is the slightest hint of old bandaids, but it's very fleeting, and not enough to bother me. Around 6 hours: Yum. Sweet flowers. No more bandaids, just flowers that are really mild, and the sweetness. 12 hours: Still sweet mild flowers, and I find a bit of powder, which I do like, so I'm not complaining. Overall: I can see wearing this every so often, but I don't know that I would have wanted a big bottle, so it's not terribly upsetting that it's no longer available. There are others I like better, but this is one flowery one that I could wear. After reading other reviews: I never got any buttery butterscotch, which is probably for the best, since I would have fallen in love and been depressed that it's hard to get now. I adore butterscotch, so I would have liked it to be there for me, but I guess I won't complain. It's a keeper. I also didn't get any mint out of this one.

    Harvest Moon 2004

Bottle (Imp): Hm. This doesn't smell right to me. Time to put it on and see what happens. Just On: Ouch. This is not good. It's just sharp, icky, and seems to smell like an old dead garden. An hour or two later: This really doesn't sit well on me for some reason. It's not because it's a flowery scent, though I can smell those too, it just seems to hate my skin. Around 6 hours: Now it's all flowers, and pretty faded. I probably won't be wearing this a lot, and may even exchange it for something else. I'll likely give it another try in a few days to see if it was something else acting up. 12 hours: It's mostly gone, and I'm not complaining about that this time. There's a trace of powder left with it, and if that were much stronger I'd probably like this. Overall: Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work very well with my skin. I'm not giving up on florals yet, because I think a lot of my issues are mental, but this isn't one I'm going to wear a LOT. After reading other reviews: I certainly didn't get any foody scent from this one. I wish I had, it wasn't so terrible once it dried down a lot. Where is the candy smell??? Not giving up on this yet, but will have to see how it goes.

    Wolf Moon 2004

Bottle (Imp): Smells fresh and breezy. Just On: Yeah, nice and fresh, like a wonderful breeze in the summer, one that's cool and feels refreshing. An hour or two later: Just like the wind coming in off the lake back home (not a dirty icky lake, but a clean pretty lake). It's faded a bit more than I'd like it to be, but refreshing it wouldn't be that tough, I use very little when I test. Around 6 hours: What's left of this still smells wonderful. I was actually expecting something more animal-like, so I'm pretty happy with this. 12 hours: It faded a lot like others do, but I like it all the way. It doesn't seem to change through the stages the way so many others do on me, and I really like that. Overall: This is certainly something I would wear when I want to be fresh and breezy. I'm going to try it out on The Mate as well, because I think the clean scent would be nice on him too. I prefer smoky incensy smells on him, maybe musk, but this might be a good change. After reading other reviews: I don't get any pine from this, I just got fresh breezy cleanness. I also didn't get any of the changing that others did, it stayed almost the same throughout the whole process.

    Mabon 2004

Bottle (Imp): I have no idea what the scent is. It's very different from everything else I have tried so far. Herbal, I guess? Just On: I am still leaning towards it being an herbal scent. I can't decide if I like it or not... probably because it's so different to me. Maybe there's some citrus scent there? It's so hard for me to tell. An hour or two later: This got sweeter, and prettier. But there is a hint of something that doesn't seem to agree with my skin, so faint that I can barely tell it's there. Around 6 hours: It's settled into a pretty nice scent all in all, and I think I like it at this point. It has faded considerably, but I'm not going to complain. I could see using this at times. 12 hours: It's pretty faded, and turned fairly sweet as well. If I could make it get to this stage faster I'd probably like it more. I can smell some fruity things, and this stage smells delicious to me. Not necessarily like fruit itself, more like an orchard of fruit trees, but without the tree smell. That makes little to no sense, huh. Overall: At first I was unsure about it, but the very end it nabbed me, and I like it. Perhaps if I slather it on heavily it will last better to that end stage that I like so much. After reading other reviews: I don't get wine like some folks do, and it certainly wasn't really really strong. I probably wouldn't swap this one, at least not at first... but there may come a day.

    Corazon

Bottle (Imp): I guess it smells kind of, fresh? I really suck at describing scents. <G> Just On: Smells kind of like fresh flowers, with somethings else in there. Maybe like flowers after rain? An hour or two later: It's pretty flowery, and I've always been a non flowery kinda gal, but it's not awful. It reminds me a little of the stuff my grandmothers wear (not as in old lady perfume, but more like classy perfume). Around 6 hours: I almost wish this had faded more than it has. I don't hate it, but I'm not loving it like I do the foody scents. I still wonder if it's just because I'm so set in my mind against florals, and maybe it smells wonderful. 12 hours: It ends with a little sweet, and some flowers, and it isn't so bad at the end. I'd probably wear it once in a while, when I want to smell, well, classier than normal. I'm not sure classy is the word I'm looking for. Maybe expensive. <g> Overall: I'm glad I got to try the imp, and almost as glad I didn't get a bigger bottle, as it wouldn't have the best home with me. I don't think I'll swap this one, I'll probably use it every so often. After reading other reviews: I wish I had gotten the fruity scent everybody got from the mango, but alas, I didn't get that at all. Since one of my bestest friends is allergic to lavender and lilac, I will have to be careful not to wear this around her, but it will get used around here.

    Sugar Skull

Bottle (Imp): Super sweet sugary scent. YUM!! Just On: Oh yes, oh so sweet, and I love it. It's not very strong, so I suspect I would have to slather this one, which figures, since it's not available anymore. An hour or two later: It's still pretty sweet, with a hint of spice to it. I like it, but probably not as much as Gluttony (which is a good thing, as it's easier to get Gluttony). I can't pick out specific notes or anything like that, but it's a nice mix, and it's certainly not overpowering. Around 6 hours: As with several others, this one faded on me, and I would need to reapply it often through the day. This one doesn't get too powdery, though I can detect the barest hint of powdery sweetness as well. 12 hours: This is very very very faint now, but also very sweet at the end, and I like it. I would have to touch it up during the day, but this last stage of sweetness is really wonderful. Overall: I would buy this in a big bottle if it were available, but I won't die without it. I'm really glad I got to try it, and it helps me realize that I truly love the sweet stuff best. After reading other reviews: I didn't get marshmallows or maple syrup, but that's okay. I really like this one, and wish it were still available. Lucky for me, I have several other sweet scents to give me my sweetness fix. I certainly don't get the strength that others seem to have with this one, which bums me a little bit.

    Hearth

Bottle (Imp): Interesting. Sweet, but not sugary or candy sweet. I think I'll like it. Doesn't seem too spicy. 2nd try: Pretty much the same. I LIKE this in the imp. Just On: Yep, sweet. Is that cherry? If so, it's the first time I've smelled it. Seems a bit overpowering as I put it on, but that could be a tender nose today. 2nd try: I really like this when it's fresh. Perhaps this would be a good one for me to look for a scent locket to wear with it. An hour or two later: Still a little bit of sweet, with something else there. Fading more than I'd like to see, as I think I like that first splash of scent. Not sure how long this one will last on me if it's getting this faint already. Kitties are unimpressed. 2nd try: Yeah, it fades faster than I'd like. I think my skin really soaks things up at certain times. There is a woody scent there now too. Around 6 hours: Hmm, this faded away to nearly nothing already. Let's give this a second shot and see what happens. 2nd try: Hasn't faded as much, but still much lighter than I'd like, and the sweet isn't coming through as much. It got blander as it dried and faded, and it's smells sort of like a pipe. A conforting scent to me. 12 hours: There is nothing left at all. 2nd try: I think I'm getting the faintest hint of it, but that could be where it rubbed off on a shirt or coat sleeve too. I wish this stuck around longer, I think I could wear it a lot. Overall: If this were to have more staying power on me, I'd probably wear it a lot. I love the sweetness that isn't sugar or honey. This is one of the few that doesn't give me powder (I like powder, but it's nice that they don't ALL turn to it) after a while. I imagine this is one I'd get more of if the chance comes up. After reading other reviews: I guess that was cherry I smelled, and wow, tobacco, no wonder I smelled pipe. Too bad I didn't get the pancake effect that others seem to have, I would have loved it! I'm surely going to nab The Mate and put some on him and see how that goes. I didn't get the medicinal effect, and this rates solidly in the middle out of everything I've tried.

    Honey

Bottle (Imp): Hmmm, it's honey-like, but I don't get honey. Not sweet, sticky honey that I get from a beekeeper friend. Not honey still on the honeycomb scent. Somewhat sweet, but not really feeling the honey. Time to put it on and try it. 2nd try: Still smells very sharp, and doesn't quite hit my nose right. Just On: Whoa. A very sharp scent, almost like alcohol. I sure hope this gets some sweetness to it, or I shall be horribly disappointed. It almost burns my eyes. <sob> I wonder if this is reacting strangely because I'm fresh out of the bath? 2nd try: Apparently it's not the bath, and it's still sharp and kind of alcohol-y. This is too strange. An hour or two later: I get a whiff of honey, but it's a little plasticy. Still, it could be much worse. I'm going to try this one again, at a different time of month. 2nd try: Wow, I am so so sad that this is just not working for me. It smells like plastic. Around 6 hours: It's faded away to not much at all, pretty hard to tell that I even put it on. 2nd try: This time I can smell it, but I'm getting a dirty bandaid kind of smell. I think I'm going to cry now, because I SO SO SO wanted to love this. 12 hours: It's completely gone now. Definitely going to try this another time. 2nd try: It's gone. This is probably for the best. Dangit. Overall: I really really really REALLY wanted to like this. But apparently it does NOT love me. After reading other reviews: [dramatic font] I hate you people that can wear this! [/dramatic font] Seriously, I can't help but wish that this would have worked for me, and it's going to have to go to someone who can love it (or that it loves). <sob> Ahh, it's all packaged up and going on it's way to someone else. ::huge sigh::

    Sugar Cookie

Bottle (Imp): Oooh, it's very sweet, but I can't quite pick out sugar cookies from it. Must be something that happens when put on. Just On: BAM! I smell like cooookies!! Yummy sugar cookie scent starts to take over the instant it touches my skin. THe Mate says it's nice (he always says that, silly man). I could start singing "Memories", because this smells so much like the sugar cookies my Great Grandma used to make for us. It's downright incredible how Beth managed to put sugar cookies in a bottle like that. I'm pretty glad I spent more than I should have to get this imp. I'll be hoarding this one, and guarding it carefully. Mostly so I can use it whenever I want to think of family. An hour or two later: While it has faded some, it still smells pretty nice, and sugar cookies rule my wrists. I'll have to make sure I don't use this one when I'm feeling wistfully nostalgic, or I might wind up crying. It's a beautiful scent, and it doesn't seem to change or have any bad notes to it. Around 6 hours: I can still smell the cookies, and though it's faded some, it's still as pretty as when I first got it on. I can't quite say this is my favorite so far (which is in actuality a good thing, since it's discontinued), but it's certainly in the running for the top three. 12 hours: Well, it's faded away to nothing, but I guess that's okay. Overall: I truly enjoyed this scent, and would not hesitate to buy it were it available again. I bet it would smell good layered with something chocolate too. After reading other reviews: I don't get much of the cinnamon at all with this. Maybe a vague whiff of it in the imp, but it's all sugar cookie to me, all the way through.

    Blood

Bottle (Imp): SWEET! With some spice to it. This is pretty decent. If it stays like this, I might like it a lot. Just On: Still very sweet, and can smell the spice part a bit more. There's some other stuff I can't identify in it, but nothing bad. Maybe clove is giving the spice to it? An hour or two later: Very much the same scent, just faded a little bit. I don't know what dragon's blood resin smells like, but I think that might be what I'm smelling now, and I LIKE it. This is the first one I've tried (except for Calliope) that doesn't turn to a powdery scent. I could get pretty attached to this scent, especially if it stays like this. Around 6 hours: It's faded more, but it's still there, and still smells very similar. 12 hours: Ahhh, there is a hint of the powder scent, though much less than others I've tried. All in all, it's very faded now, though I can still smell it. Certainly it's long lasting on me, which is good. Overall: I like it. It doesn't morph too much through the dry down and wearing, and it's a comfortable scent for me. I wouldn't mind if it went powdery sooner, but it's good throughout, and I can live with this. I'll certainly use my imp, and enjoy it, but I think it will be down a bit further on the big bottle list. After reading other reviews: Apparently the cherry is the sweet I was smelling. No cough syrup scent, not cloyingly sweet once it's on, and it stays much the same all the way through. I can't pick out individual notes (my nose isn't very trained yet, but I know what I like), but this is a nice mix.

    Calliope

The eldest of the Muses, she is Eloquence, and thus, governs heroic and epic poetry, and her eloquence has served to calm quarrels even amongst the surliest of Gods. She is crowned in gold, and holds a roll of parchment or stylus and tablet. Hers is the scent of creative inspiration, and it is a boon to writers, poets and arbitrators: lavender and bright mint with bergamot, verbena, thyme and a touch of sweet orange and warm almond. Bottle (Imp): A fresh, sort of fruity scent, possibly with flowers. Maybe some herbs scattered in there? Fairly crisp. I sort of like it, but I'm a little leery of the flower thing. Just On: Pretty much the same, with some kind of foody scent just barely hinting at being there. Citrusy? Maybe a touch sharp for me. Have to see how it dries. An hour or two later: This has faded quite a bit, leaving a citrusy cleanser scent that I'm not so sure about. It's probably not something I'd wear if I was looking to feel sexy. It's sort of invigorating though. I suspect my skin will suck this one up and I won't smell it for long. One of my kitties really likes it, and spent a good while sniffing my arm, which he doesn't usually do. Around 6 hours: Yep, this got sucked right into my skin pretty quickly. All that's left is a very faint fresh citrus room freshener scent, which isn't too bad. The cat liking it makes me want to wear it just for the cuddles. <g> My kitty named Calliope also likes it, so if nothing else, it's a keeper just for the kitties. 12 hours: It's totally gone, and even the kitties don't seem to smell it anymore. A couple of them have started to smell my wrists every time they get up on me, so I'll be noting their reactions in my reviews as well. (But I am NOT looking for tuna scented stuff!) Overall: It's different than most of what I've tried, and the floral kind of throws me off, but all in all, it's a pretty fair scent. I doubt I'd buy a big bottle (unless The Mate decides he really likes it), but I'm glad I got an imp. After reading other reviews: I see where the verbena and orange are probably the sitrus I was smelling, and the mint is the crispness, lavender for the floral part, and so on. I don't get any almond, and I really wish I could. I'm not getting rid of this, but probably won't wear it nearly as much as my foodier scents. At least I didn't smell like Pledge.

    Ra

This was an extra sample the lab threw in, which is a great way to get folks to try something they might not normally order. I'm certainly not going to turn down the chance to try new things. Bottle (Imp): Fairly sweet, almost woodsy scent. Could be flowery, but not overwhelmingly so, it's hard for me to tell. I can't decide if I like it in the bottle or not, but of course the true test is whether I like it on my skin. Just On: Wow! It's floral, and got a sharp note to it as well. Almost stingy to my nose, but not as bad as say, cleansing products. There's one or maybe two notes that just jump right out and grab me. An hour or two later: Well, it's not so strong and sharp now, but it's still pretty flowery almost, which could tend to make me want to pass on it. I'll have to ask The Mate's opinion as well, because it might be that it smells really good to others, and I just have a *thing* against flowers. I'm not exactly what folks would call a girly girl, so that's probably why the food scents and spic ones work for me. Around 6 hours: It's settled into a very pleasant scent, mild and sweet, with a breath of flowers. This would probably be wonderful to make into lotion or something to keep the sharp notes from coming out so much on me. It seems to have fairly decent staying power. 12 hours: It's still similar to what I could smell at six hours, though much fainter. I don't think I'll be getting rid of this, but I'm not sure that I'd buy a bigger bottle either. Overall: It starts out as too much for me, but fades pretty nicely on my skin. I pretty certain I am going to stick this in some lotion and see how it goes with that. After reading other reviews: Sounds like this is something that everybody should try, because it's all over the place to different people. My cat wrinkled her nose at it, but she has pretty poor taste anyway. Blessings, Wacky

    Inferno

Bottle (Imp): Cinnamon Imperials. Nice sweet cinnamon. #2 Smells sweeter today, but same basic scent. Just On: Immediately more sweet than in the imp, then it starts to morph into a cinnamon disk candy smell and loses a lot of it's oomph (could be today's skin). I could see The Mate liking this, as he eats cinnamon candies on a regular basis. Swiped a bit on The Mate as well to see what happens. #2 I put it on thicker this time, a couple of swipes instead of the usual small one. I'd really like this one to last, especially with the cinnamon sweetness that I get right after putting it on. An hour or two later: This faded *really* fast. I can smell a hint of the cinnamon, and a little sweetness. Probably have to try this on a different day to get good effects. I can barely smell it on The Mate, but at least he had no reaction to it, so he could be fairly oil safe. #2 Again, this seems to soak right into my skin and disappear. I'll probably keep the imp around, but I don't foresee buying a bigger bottle if it isn't going to last just a bit longer. I did get a whiff of something besides cinnamon though, so that was kinda neat. Around 6 hours: This seems to have faded to nothing on me today. I will try again in a few days. The Mate has nothing left either, so it wasn't just me. #2 Yep, almost totally gone, barely able to detect that I had *something* on. 12 hours: No scent left. #2 No scent left. Bummer. Overall: First time- it didn't last at all. Second time- I really wanted this to last, but apparently my skin has different ideas. I might try to use this in lotion or something to see if it lasts better that way. After reading other reviews: Wow, I guess it's not just my skin being wonky, others had it fading fast too. I think that even had this been my first one to review, I probably would still have been pretty impressed, because it smells REALLY good, and I'm very used to scents going away really fast on me. I'm trying to get another friend hooked on BPAL, I've dropped the link into her email after letting her smell me a couple times. Blessings, Wacky

    All Night Long

Bottle (Imp): I have no idea what notes I'm smelling, but they are sweet and sharp all at once, in a good way. I keep smelling it over and over, and I hope it stays this good on. Just On: The sharpness increased a bit, and the sweet faded some. Knowing that The Mate is very not 'in the mood', I don't expect it to relax or arouse him, but hopefully he will at least like it. This has several different things going on, and I can't identify anything but cinnamon, but I think I like so far. An hour or two later: This has turned very spicy, which is probably a bonus, though I'm not a huge spicy person (as far as 'hot' spices), The Mate likes spicy, and I think this smells pretty good still. This seems like a scent I'd want on me when I'm dressed HOT HOT HOT. The Mate says, "Mmmm. Smells very nice." (How can I train this guy to really notice what I'm wearing and let me know what he likes best?) Around 6 hours: I really like this, it's fading through a couple other levels, but still has some spice, and a nice sweetness to it. I am so amazed at how much these change from bottle to wearing all the way off, and how *GOOD* they all smell on me. To think, all those years wasted, not able to wear perfumes for the most part, with a couple exceptions from Avon. I can smell some cinnamon in this now, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. 12 hours: It faded quite a bit, and I'm left with a vague impression of sweet powder, which isn't so bad. I'll probably have to refresh this earlier, but that's okay. Overall: I like the way this smells, and I hope that I can test it further some night when I'm going out. Or perhaps find out if it could have the desired affect on The Mate... but then I'll have to wait a bit. After reading other reviews: I don't get the strong cinnamon right away that others do, but it's there. I didn't get amorous results, but I think that The Mate being a disabled guy means he gets a LOT of leeway if he doesn't jump on me when I'm smelling fabulous. I'll probably save this for wearing when I'm going out or something, rather than to work or just to hang out at home. Apparently, I'm lucky in that the cinnamon stuff doesn't burn me... so far everything I've tried has been just fine on my skin.

    Bliss

Bottle (Imp): Chocolate! Just On: Chocolate, but something else is there too. There's a bit of a staleness to it that I'm not sure I like. An hour or two later: It mellows out into a nice sweet chocolate scent with something else I can't identify in it. It's not terribly sweet, but it isn't bitter like baking chocolate either. Around 6 hours: The same unknown scent with chocolate, and there's a nice hint of powder now that I've come to expect and really enjoy from BPAL scents. So far everything I've tried has had this at some point, though at varying strengths, and varying times. 12 hours: It's very very light, but I can still smell it, and it's the chocolate/powder that is left. Overall: I really like this, and am certainly considering making it my first big bottle of scent. After reading other reviews: I didn't get any of the nuttiness the others got, I had all chocolate and powder.

    Mata Hari

Bottle (Imp): I actually don't care for this very much while it's in the imp. My nose has no idea what the scent(s) is/are, but they aren't really sweet and they aren't really not sweet, which probably makes no sense. It almost smells like my Grandpa's compost heap (ew). Just On: Right away, it starts to smell better, and is very reminiscent of Faberge Woodhue, which was my first favorite scent, and which I have not been able to find for years and years. It smells like a lovely mix, though I couldn't tell you any of the scents to save my life. So far I like it much more on than in the bottle. An hour or two later: This fits on my skin very well, and smells pretty wonderful. It seems like it's the same as when it goes on, but lighter and airier. I can sense floral there, but it's muchly not overpowering, which I like. Around 6 hours: It's faded quite a bit, leaving a bit of floral sweetness on my skin, which I like. 12 hours: This scent will definately have to put reapplied more than some, and it has a baby powder sort of smell with a hint of something else. I like that a lot. Overall: I really like the scent on me, but if I were going by the smell in the imp, I wouldn't have thought I'd like it. This is one of the few non foody scents that I've ever found and liked. After reading other reviews: As with others I've reviewed, I didn't smell the same things as many others (no coffee here either, funny how so many I have smell like coffee to others and not to me). I probably won't hurry to buy a bottle of it, but it wouldn't disappoint me to have it.

    Gluttony

Thick, sugared and bloated with sweetness. Dark chocolate, vanilla, buttercream, and hops with pralines, hazelnut, toffee and caramel. Bottle (Imp): This smells about as sweet as anything I've ever smelled. I didn't realize that something could smell this sweet. It's not cloying, though it has the potential to be with just a bit more sweetness. Since I do well with sweet scents usually, I was ready to put this on. Definately smell the sugaryness of it. Just On: It is really sweet still, then almost immediately settles down into a sweet mildly spicy scent. My untrained nose doesn't often detect specific notes, and I'm worse at identifying them, but this smells like some kind of treats or cake with extra spice added to it. Nutty, like pralines, and the caramel is noticeable now. The Mate nods, then says, "That's really strong." An hour or two later: Tones down a *lot*, and now I can smell the toffee/caramel scents nicely, though I wish it were a little stronger. The Mate tells me it's very nice. Around 6 hours: Same toned down scent, and still smelling the toffee/caramel overtones. I still wish it would stay stronger, but maybe I'll dilute it in a carrier, and slather it on a bit heavier. This would make a nice scent for a comfort salve, I think. 12 hours: The scent is almost totally gone, so I guess this is one that will have to be refreshed more often. Overall: I really like this, especially as it goes through all the differing scents during the first part of drying down. After reading other reviews: I never got the coffee scent that others seemed to be getting, and I didn't really get any sense of chocolate. But cookies, I never thought of it, but that's true, I smelled like cookies. Again, I couldn't stop smelling myself, and this does make me want more (though I didn't have any cravings to eat while wearing it).

    O

I didn't read any reviews before trying this, and I think I'll keep it that way for future trials. Might keep me less impressionable. Bottle (Imp): This smells way way sweet, but I've always done okay with certain sweets, so I'll try it and hope it mellows. Just on: Its fairly sweet, but not cloying. Vanilla, honey, and a hint of baby powder. The Mate likes it, says it's kind of incensey. An hour or two later: Settles into a baby powder scent with mild sweetness. Around 6 hours: It's not too strong, The Mate still likes it a lot, and I was complemented in the gas station. Smells much more like baby powder now, but that's a comfroting kind of scent. Almost reminds me of a sweeter Love's Baby Soft. 12 hours: Still there, and just the baby powder scent left mostly. Since I like baby powder, this isn't a problem. Overall: I like this scent, and I would wear it pretty much anywhere without a problem. After reading the other reviews: I have no clue where the scent of sex comes from, it's not present for me at all. I don't get chocolate or cherry syrup either. I'll probably buy some of this, and more than likely try layering it with other scents. It's actually the second one I tried, and with both, I can't resist smelling myself over and over. The cats approved of this (they weren't around when I tried the other).
