Bottle (Imp): This smells green and dark. Just On: Green, dark and fresh. A strange combo, yes, but it seems to work. An hour or two later: This is still pretty green, and I'm getting a bit of flowers. Around 6 hours: It's starting to fade, and it's about the same scent, just lighter. 12 hours: It's all gone now. Overall: This is a very nice scent, well blended, and fits it's name, in my mind anyway. I don't get the watery part, or the wood, but somehow, it smells like I expected it to. After reading other reviews: I really don't get a lot of aquatics in this, not like othes did. I don't necessarily get wood either. It still fits it's name, and I'm still pretty impressed with it. It isn't quite my style, but it's lovely nonetheless, and I'm glad I got to try it.

    June Gloom 2004

Bottle (Imp): Lemony flowers. Just On: Lemon Pedge. My skin turns another one into lemon pledge. I really kinda like it. An hour or two later: This is super faded, so it goes away fast on me. I would rather it stayed, it was a pleasant lemon pledge kinda thing. Around 6 hours: Barely a hint of lemon pledge (remember I *like* lemon pledge, so I'm likely to buy bigger bottles of these, when available).. It just fades so quickly, that's my only complaint here. 12 hours: Completely gone. Overall: I really like this scent. I know some folks don't like the lemon pledge effect, but I almost always do. The flowers never go soapy on me with this, which I love. I just wish it would last longer, this is gone way faster than usual. After reading other reviews: Oh yes, I get the lemon pledge thing. Like some of the others, it's a good scent association for me, so this is an enjoyable scent all in all.

Bottle (Imp): Hmm, something I can't identify. Just On: Ouch, my skin turns whatever this is to bandaids almost immediately. As it dries, I get a bit of cat pee too. Yeouch, my skin sure does ruin some pretty scents. An hour or two later: It fades a lot, the cat pee and bandaids fade to a bit of new bandaids, which isn't too bad. It's almost musky now. Around 6 hours: It seems musky or earthy now. 12 hours: It's mostly gone now. Overall: This smells wonderful in the imp, and my skin turns it into an awful stench for a while before it gets more on the musky side, which seems to work in this case. Now to stick a little in the oil burner and see if it does anything sleep wise. After reading other reviews: I didn't really get the pleasant parts of the scent that others did. It was nice enough in the imp, and in the oil burner, but it had pretty much no effect on my sleep or dreams. I still had much trouble getting to sleep, didn't remember any dreams, or wake up The Mate with any, and woke up several times during the night. I do like the dry down, but this is probably not a big bottle scent for me.

    Desire

Bottle (Imp): Sweet lemons. Just On: Oooh, lemonade, but without too much sugar in it. An hour or two later: Lemony soap. Around 6 hours: Yeah, lemony soap, and it's pretty pleasant. 12 hours: Ahhh, the soap has mellowed out, leaving a sweet scent that is very pretty. Overall: Starts good and ends good. This is a really nice scent. After reading other reviews: Ahhh, a rose that I can wear. I get the whole lemon thing too. I wish I could have gotten the sweetness, and apple. ETA: On trying a different imp, this is sweet and gorgeous. Perhaps it needs to be aged? It mellows down to a powdery rose now, sweet and nice.

    Seraglio

Bottle (Imp): Citrus. That's what I get out of this. Just On: Citrus, maybe lime. An hour or two later: Soapy citrus. Around 6 hours: *cough* This has gone too soapy with my skin. Darn it. 12 hours: Okay, it's not quite so soapy (darn skin), but it's still more soap than anything else. The citrus has gone away. Overall: I love this in the imp, and would probably use it as a room scent if I were to keep it around. Unfortunately, my skin ruins the scent, so it's not one I'll keep at this point. After reading other reviews: Okay, the orange peel would be the citrus. The rose must be the soapyness. I didn't get the other cool stuff like almonds and spices.

    #20 Love Oil

Bottle (Imp): Sweet, with some kick. Just On: Sweet, with some kick, and I can't tell what kind of kick. An hour or two later: Hmmm, this is turning into something else, and I don't know what it is.. Around 6 hours: There's a hint of sweetness. Unfortunately, I'm also getting more soapyness. 12 hours: It fades back into a sharper scent, though it's almost gone. Overall: I could wear this regularly, except my skin makes it a yucky kinda soap. After reading other reviews: I have Follow Me Boy on the other wrist, so we shall see if anything fun happens, even though it's not exactly the right time of month. I won't be keeping it, but I was happy to try it.

    Follow Me Boy

Bottle (Imp): Smells musky. Just On: Pretty much the same so far. An hour or two later: It hasn't changed a lot, but it's gotten a tad worse. Apparently my skin turns this into yuckiness. Darn skin. Around 6 hours: It starts to sweeten up a bit. 12 hours: Ahh yes, the yuckiness is pretty much gone, and it's a little sweet, and a lot smooth. Overall: This is one that I would probably have to put on a few hours before I plan on leaving, so that it has time to get through the initial oogeyness, and get to the good stuff. Although, it might go there faster when it's not *that* time. After reading other reviews: Okay, it sounds like this has civet, and that means I *can* wear civet in certain blends. Another wonderful job on this one, and it goes on the 'I Want This Someday' List.

    Centzon Totochtin

Bottle: *Very* boozy. Not much else, the booziness overwhelms me, but not in a bad way. Just On: Sweet booze. An hour or two later: Chocolate booze, maybe amaretto. Around 6 hours: Still boozy, and I would love to know how Beth bottled booze without a liquor license. <g> A little bit chocolate still, but not so much, and the booze kind of dominates it. 12 hours: The chocolate thing has gone away, and I'm left with a very faint impression of booze. Overall: Another remarkable scent, and one that I'm very happy to have. This is perfect for going out to the bar, and having some fun. After reading other reviews: I never got any coffee out of this at all. It was all boozyness and some cocoa on me.

    Jupiter

Bottle (Imp): I can't tell what it is, resin, wood? Just On: Still can't figure out what it is. An hour or two later: Okay, I'm getting wood.. Around 6 hours: Hmmm, redwood? 12 hours: Yeah, it could be redwood. Overall: I don't mind it, but it's not really fond of my skin. After reading other reviews: I got zero fruit out of this, so I guess my skin sucked it up, as usual. It's just not fair. Stupid skin. :: kicks her skin ::

    Crucible of Courage

Bottle (Imp): There's something familiar about this, but I have no clue what it is. It smells a little bit gritty. Just On: Still can't figure out what it is that I'm smelling, but it's gritty, and tough. Seems perfect for the name. An hour or two later: There's something not quite sweet, but rich and creamy in here. Still rather tough as well. Around 6 hours: This is a creamy, gritty scent all together. It's very well blended. I like it. 12 hours: I'm left with a creamy baby powder scent that is quite lovely, if a bit faded. Overall: At the beginning, it really seems to stand up and make me take notice. It fades away to something soothing, which is really perfect, as you would want the initial blast of courage, and then something soothing after doing whatever it was that you needed courgae for. After reading other reviews: Uh, I guess mine is first. I can't really say what's in it, I'm so not that well trained in the nose yet. I just know that it starts out with something that is tough as nails, but not metallic. As it wears on my skin, it gradually transforms into something very creamy and lovely, finally winding up with a creamy baby powder scent that is all about comfort to me. I think this will get use in my home, and will probably hoard this for a while. More kudos to Beth for another beautiful blend, especially one that lives up to it's name so well, as far as I'm concerned. {Ahhh, this is the first time I've posted without finding the other reviews.} EDIT: Merged with existing thread --Shollin

    Enochian

Bottle (Imp): It's pretty crisp, and fresh smelling. Just On: It instantly starts to give me a hint of flowers, and herbs. An hour or two later: It's kind of turning soapy on me, I'm guessing there's something in there my skin has to ruin. It's not bad, but I just don't care for soapy that much. This is probably going to be gorgeous on someone else. Around 6 hours: It's mostly gone, just a hint of flower left. 12 hours: Enochian has left the building. Overall: It's not too bad, but it doesn't seem to work with my skin, so it's not something I would reach for much. Pretty pleasant in the imp, but my skin ruins is, as with so many others. It's not necessarily something *I* will use in ritual, although I could. After reading other review: Ah, the soapy rose. Jasmine seems to turn a bit odd on me at times as well. If I were to use this, I'd not want to get it on me, as the soapyness might be distracting.

    Arkham

Bottle (Imp): Fresh and green. Just On: Fresh, crisp, and green, possibly evergreen. An hour or two later: Very fresh, and green. Around 6 hours: This gets a little sweet, as well as still being fresh and green. 12 hours: The last bit of scent is a little bit sweet, and still pretty green. Overall: This is a beautiful creation, and I'm very happy I got to try it. After reading other reviews: I can smell all the trees, but it's not dry wood, rather trees in the prime of their life. I didn't really get the flowers, which was fine by me.

    Red Moon 2004

Bottle (Imp): Sweet, smooth, and syrupy. Just On: Oh so sweet, and I LIKE that. It's almost smelling like Icee syrup. An hour or two later: Just imagine a sigh of deliciousness. Because I just heaved one. It's still sweet, but not candy sweet, it's smooth, and lovely. Around 6 hours: It's still very smooth, and the lunar oils are peeking out from the sweetness, making it very soothing. 12 hours: Although faded, the lunar oils still show up, and there's a bit of sweetness left. This is gorgeous. Overall: This is beautiful all through the different stages. I'd certainly buy more if I could, and if this were released again, I'd jump all over it like white on rice. After reading other reviews: Well, I can see what made me smell the sweetness, probably the heliotrope. The whole thing is beautiful, and I hope that someday Beth would consider re-releasing it, as it seems to be pretty adored.

    Urd

Bottle (Imp): Quite sweet, and maybe a hint of some incense. Just On: The sweetness tones down, and the incense comes forth to mix in a gorgeous blend. An hour or two later: More of the sweetness, but still incensy. Around 6 hours: Leaning back towards more incensy now. 12 hours: Okay, I smell more of the sweetness now. Overall: This does flip flops between being sweet and incensy, and I like it. After reading other reviews: Okay, so muscadine is sweet, and the incense is probably the nag champa, or even the patchouli, or combo of those. This is an awesome scent.

    Whitechapel

Bottle (Imp): Lemony? Just On: Lime. I am really liking this. It's not what I expected, but it's gorgeous. An hour or two later: Hmm, a very slightly bitter scent, and not so much lime any more. Around 6 hours: Less lime, more of a not quite bitter scent. 12 hours: It ended up with some bitterness, not very strong. It's mostly faded. Overall: I liked the way it started, but my skin turned into something else. :: sigh :: Off to the swaps. After reading other reviews: I didn't get nearly as much lemonyness once I put it on. I can't tell what turned bitter with my skin, but this one is a swapper. Or maybe a room scent.

    Imp

Bottle (Imp): Sweet, with a bit of citrus. Just On: A bit of sweet, some musk, and a tiny hint of sharpness. An hour or two later: Musky goodness. Around 6 hours: Sweet muskyness. 12 hours: Almost gone, just a hint of musk, and less of sweetness. Overall: I like this, it's one that morphs a few times, but never in a bad way. After reading other reviews: I'm guessing white peach is what made me smell the citrus thing in the imp. On me, thhough, it just turned sweet and musky. I like it.

    Blood Kiss

Bottle (Imp): Mmm, this is sweet and sultry. Just On: It goes on as sweet, smooth, and sultry all at once. Since I'm so horrible at describing notes, I guess I'll stick with impressions. An hour or two later: It's still sultry, and not as sweet. Certainly not cloying, though I can imagine some folks might think so. It's one of those that is turning into a skin scent. Around 6 hours: Mmm, the sweetness is coming back, and it's lovely. It smells like me, but better. 12 hours: Oh, this fades out into a lovely sweet powder scent. Overall: This has jumped right onto my big bottle list (ya know, for someday when I can afford to buy tons of bottles <g>). After reading other reviews: Hmm, I didn't get alcohol or cherries, but I loved it no matter. Yet another lovely scent that just blew me away.

    Intrigue

Bottle (Imp): Hmmm, is that cocoa? Just On: Cocoa and, and... salt? Okay, no, not salt, but something like a salty wood. An hour or two later: This is a lovely scent. Around 6 hours: Oh, this has almost a candy scent now. It's some kind of fruit, almost like dried fruit, which always reminds me of candy. 12 hours: Very faded sweet candy. Overall: I really like this scent, and it's probably up there in my top twenty, or near to it. It's hit the big bottle list for sure. After reading other reviews: Ahhh, fig is that sweetness. This really morphs throughout wearing, and I like it a lot.

    Arcana

Bottle (Imp): A bright vivid almost minty herb scent. Just On: A hint of mintyness, and maybe some citrus? An hour or two later: Okay, there's a hint of lemon pledge in this, but I like it, so please don't take that as a knock against it. No more mint that I can smell. Around 6 hours: Less of the lemon pledge, but still there. Pretty lemony. 12 hours: The very last vestiges of lemon zestiness. Overall: I could totally get hooked on this. It wasn't really far up on my list, but it turns out I like it a lot. Goes to show you that I can be wrong about anything <g>. After reading other reviews: Verbena. So that's the lemony thing. Apparently my skin amps that up so much as to take over everything else. Apparently, someone else got the mint thing too. However, I got NO lavender out of this at all.

    Magus

Bottle (Imp): This is kind of like sweet herbs with a little bit of kick. Just On: The sweet kind of goes away, and it's taken over by herbs and maybe wood. An hour or two later: It's almost totally gone, but I'm thinking just a hint of something woodsy. A little bit of powder as well. Around 6 hours: Well, I can't really smell this any more. 12 hours: No more at all. Overall: This was pretty nice, but faded way too quickly for me. After reading other reviews: Okay, so the cedar and sandalwood provide the woodsiness, and the rest of the herbs are the herby part. Kinda of a duh thing. Of course, since I made my list in order of pretty much every scent over two months ago, and do not read the descriptions OR the reviews beforehand... I never know what I'm getting. Apparently this fades on others as well, so it's not unusual in that respect on me.

    Hemlock

Bottle (Imp): Water. Cool, crisp water. Just On: Piney, but not pine. Evergreen something. An hour or two later: Oh yes, this is evergreen. Not thinking pine though. Around 6 hours: It's quite faded, but still an evergreen scent. 12 hours: Nothing left at this point. Overall: This is a really interesting scent. At first, I could have sworn it was aquatic, but it was evergreen after it had time to be on my skin. It faded faster than many BPALs on me. After reading other reviews: I didn't get any citrus, or Vick's Vapo Rub out of this at all. It stays very green all the short while it lasts on me.
  22. OriginalWacky

    Unseelie

Bottle (Imp): Baby powder! Just On: Herby baby powder. An hour or two later: Still pretty powdery. Just a hint of herbs. Around 6 hours: Very much baby powder scented, and not much else. I like that, though, so I'm not complaining. 12 hours: The last bits of baby powder (but a really nice smelling baby powder) now. Overall: This just stayed powdery all the way through, and smelled much like baby powder most of the time. It makes me nostalgic for the days when I had babies. And also for when I used to go bowling and use a lot of baby powder. After reading other reviews: Obviously the crushed herbs are pretty much everything that my skin brought out. I'm liking this one, and would certainly buy it if I had the chance. I know a lot of folks don't care for the baby powder scents, but I like them.
  23. OriginalWacky

    Shattered

Bottle (Imp): I'm not sure how to describe it, as I've never smelled water like this, but it's definitely water. Just On: Oh yes, very watery. An hour or two later: It's smelling a little bit like stale water now. Around 6 hours: Sort of murky water. 12 hours: Pretty faded, but it's watery still. Overall: I just don't know what else I can say about this, so I'll leave this one pretty simple. It's watery. An amazing watery. After reading other reviews: The aquatic blooms must be the only thing I really go, that's the water part on me. I got no fruit or anything but watery, although now I can see that the reason I wasn't familiar with the water I was smelling is that I've so rarely ever smelt water flowers of any kind. I got nothing that reminded me of mint in any way.
  24. OriginalWacky

    Havisham

Bottle (Imp): This smells flowery and herby both. Just On: Yep, it's flowers and herbs. An hour or two later: Soapy herbs and flowers. Around 6 hours: Still pretty soapy. 12 hours: Perfumy soap. Faded a little, but still soap. Overall: While I don't mind soapy smells, they aren't really my style (damned skin chemistry), so I probably won't be keeping this for too long. It's nice in the imp, but my skin totally ruins it. After reading other reviews: I guess this fit pretty well with flowers and herbs, though I'm not sure if it was really herbs, or just the blend of flowers I was getting. I didn't get any of the lime part.
  25. OriginalWacky

    Lex Talionis

Bottle (Imp): This smells pretty herby, and a little sharp. I'm guessing pepper and sage? Just On: It fades to just herbs mostly. Okay, I think it's sage, maybe I imagined the pepper. An hour or two later: Still herby, and a little powdery. Some kind of flower perhaps that is turning to powder? Around 6 hours: It's pretty faded, just a bit of powdery herbs. 12 hours: It's pretty much all gone, just the last vestiges of herby powder left. Overall: I like this quite a bit, but I don't think it will get the love it should in my house. I just have to many others I love more. I guess that's good, as it's discontinued. After reading other reviews: Wow, okay, so I didn't imagine the pepper, but my skin ate it. That's good, I'm not a pepper person. I certainly didn't get the grapefruit out of this, and I never got any other scents, but it wasn't too bad. I didn't get any cedar either. The sage and I'm guessing the violet is what went powdery were dominant.
