On me, my body amps the honey SO MUCH and the drydown is pretty much a honeycomb candle. Nothing bad with that, just a little bit plain considering all the components.

Ralph Lauren perfumes - discuss similar BPALs here
vikitty replied to germanfries's topic in Recommendations
Welcome to the forum, and the addiction! You should post your query in the "Looking for a BPAL that resembles your favorite perfume" thread, here: http://www.bpal.org/topic/30307-looking-for-a-bpal-that-resembles-a-favorite-perfume/ -
Wasn't impressed with this, didn't detect much of a scent to it at all. Disappointed!
-
Obatala is subtle but very lovely. A soft coconut, not too sweet. Oya is very warm on me, hard to explain. DEFINITELY try Shango! On me, it was a less floral Tiki Queen.
-
The Unicorn is also very powdery and soft.
-
I'm still hoping that one day BPAL will come to Canada. *daydreams*

It's so cold out, eep! Anyway, thank you dear Witch for the cute ecard! To answer your question: Do you like white musk? YES! White musk is one of the only musks I can wear that doesn't amp up so much it drowns out the other notes. My favorite BPAL featuring white musk are 51, Black Pearl, Endymion, Fae, and Ladon. I remember fondly The Body Shop's White Musk; I used to wear it all the time but ironically I've outgrown it when really that perfume was a very mature smell. ;; I cannot do red musk or black musk, or animal musk. -___-;; I have not, however, tried the Lab's chinese musk yet!

Do you like coffee mugs? Travel or stay at home? How big? Do you like ones from Starbucks? I drink tea! I would love a cute mug for work. Do you like tea? What kinds of tea (green, red, white, black, decaf, herbal infusions)? Feel free to get specific on brands and tea types. Loose or bagged? Do you need any kind of tea accessories? Pots/cozys/presses/strainers? I only drink orange pekoe. Boring I know, but I have to put milk and sugar in it! What is your favorite hot chocolate or drinking chocolate? Do you need Vegan or no? Not a hot chocolate snob; I'll try anything! Do you need any decanting supplies? Pipettes? Vials? How about any wand caps? Roller bottles? Some spray bottles (for oils mixed with alcohol?) I'm not much of a decanter but I'd love a few more wand caps. How do you feel about home made lip balm, salt or sugar scrubs, soap, bath salts, etc? What kind of flavors and notes do you like? Sounds good to me. My favorite scents for B&B stuff is coconut, vanilla, chocolate... Sooooo.....if you were to receive a hand-knitted item, what color(s) would you prefer AND are there any types of yarn that you just cannot handle (e.g. wool, llama, etc.) Nothing too itchy! My favorite colors are purple, pink, blue, but a neutral color would probably work better with my winter coat.

I've been slacking off on updating my blog with questions; I've been posting them in the thread instead, but I'll try to post more here, too! Thank you for the e-card, Witch! It's very nice to meet you!~

One of the latest questions was "What's something practical you need?" I said a calendar, but today as I was packing up packages to send out, writing my name and address 50 times (exaggeration ) was annoying! So if my crafty witch could make or find me some cute address labels with my name and address on it, that would be a neat pressie.

Would you personally rather get handmade jewelry or the beads to make something yourself? I fail at arts and crafts -- someone do it for me! :X do you like to cook? if so, what? Would you like things like spices, cookbooks, recipes, tips? I cook but not often enough to warrant my own spice rack. What Winter Holiday do celebrate? Xmas, the non-religious version more about the commercial fun and holiday spirit. Do any of you like puzzle books? I love word searches and brain teasers!~ Are there any other forums that you frequent? Makeupalley, Tokidoki Forum, GameFaqs, TelevisionWithoutPity holiday music? Sure! Nothing religious though. I looove classical versions of my faves (white christmas, silver bells, carol of the bells) What is the biggest problem or sad thing in your life? Of course, I mean the saddest or worst thing you can confess here. My IBS which flares up from time to time. Not fun. And.... what fashion item or style do you like, but never wear? I love scarves to wear indoors around my neck.
-
I love Christmas music even though I'm pagany -- how about you? Carol of the Bells, White Xmas, and classical versions of Xmas songs are always lovely. Nothing religious though. Anyone else have a sudden and unexpected favorite BPAL lately? I've been cutting down on my buying/swapping lately but the last BPAL I received was Coral Snake -- YUMMEH! Another Snake I prefer over the original SO! It's cold outside - what are your favorite drinks to keep yourself warm and cozy? Orange pekoe tea -- would love to try any sort of black teas you could add milk and sugar to -- and hot chocolate. Not a coffee fan. Would my potential Witchee be up for some music stuff they'd never heard before if they couldn't understand the words? This was my question. And yes, I would! What kind of candy/sweet treat would you like to receive? Chocolate, and coconut! I love jelly belly beans too. Not a fan of black licorice or coffee-flavored things.

Question for future witchee: Would you like to receive ATCs or would you prefer something more usable, like bookmarks or something? Sure! An ATC would be cool but I don't use bookmarks. Everyone who wants a beaded potholder, please to be raising the hands! No thanks, I don't cool. Since we're talking about warm winter wearables, who likes hats? Mittens? Arm warmers? I would luuurve a nice cozy hat, and some mittens or armwarmers (since I have very small hands, no gloves since they're hard to size) Who would like a pair of handknit socks? Size? Color preference? Cabled, ribbed (for your pleasure), stranded colorwork, etc.? No thanks. I don't wear socks much. *is a slipper girl* I have size2 (kids!) feet so socks are hard to size If your witch were to send you cookies, what kind of cookies would you like? NO RAISINS EW. I love chocolate and COCONUT!!! Who likes tshirts? What about homemade tshirts? Like with transfers I made myself.... Not much of a tshirt fan. Another question! How does everyone feel about steampunk? (It's my new obsession, so I thought I'd ask.) As long as it's mostly silver, I'm down with that. I don't like gold/bronze colors though. So, question all- how do people feel about unusual ornaments? As in, for holidays other than Christmas? I don't really have anywhere to hang them. Anyone else a total nerd like me and would like DnD/Roleplay stuff (Dice, minis, books, corny tees, etc.)? Nope Who likes yarn? What kinds/colors/weights/fibers? Handspun? Glitter? Funky art yarn made from shredded jeans, fake flowers, lace, sequins, and the tattered souls of your enemies? Other craft supplies you desperately want more of and can't live without? Not me. I fail at arts and crafts. Which witches would like hair accessories: clips, scrunchies, hairsticks, headscarves, etc? I can always use bobby pins (colored ones would be fun!), hairbands (smaller hairbands for my smaller head) Hand beaded jewelery, yay or nay? Sure! To make up for the fact that I probably won't be able to send my witchee homebaked goodies, will Tim Tams in any number of varieties be an acceptable replacement? Nomnomnom YES. Is there any time during the holidays (or the rest of the round) when you'll be away from home for a significant period and it'd be best not to send anything by mail? I'm going to be home for Xmas and unless something comes up, I should be around Jan/Feb too! Speaking of which, how many Browncoat witches do we have?? And if you are, would you be interested in getting a Kaylee parasol? If not, would you be interested in getting a paper parasol hand painted with your favorite colors? No interest in Firefly/Serenity It seems like are quite a few knitting witches, so I assume they are on the Ravelry forum as well. If so, what are your names on there so I can stalk you? No knitting skills. D:

Les Fleurs du Mal and Eternal are very gorgeous florals.
-
Unfortunately this one was the only imp from my first official Lab order that worked on me. It's a gorgeous aquatic -- a gloomy floral with a biting ozone that just WORKS. I love it. I need more of it!
-
Eden is wonderful. I get the most droolworthy toasted coconut and almond on my skin from start to finish. The throw is average, staying power was about 3 hours.
-
This aquatic was recommended as being similar to Machu Picchu, but it's much too strong for me.
-
Wet in imp: Licorice. Ew. I hate licorice. Wet on skin: Aaaah, cherry blossom! Shoo, licorice. CB and I need some alone time... Dry: Mercifully, the licorice fades leaving behind a spicy cherry blossom. Love it. I need a bottle!
-
Mainly sweet pea. This reminds me of the B&BW scent called Sweet Pea, only BPAL's version is more pure, more light, and more clear. Doesn't stick around long, though.
-
Peaches and cream! This is absolutely gorgeous. The sandalwood is very faint on me and stays at bay so that I get the full fruitness of the peaches. I've got a few imps of this.
-
The dry, thin scent of a draconic ossuary. Dragon's blood resin with white sandalwood, dusty orris and crisp blondewood. Blech. The sandalwood in this just killed it for me. Not a fan of wood.
-
I didn't like the original Dragon's Blood at all, but this is a very nice variation. The vanilla keeps it from being too sweet.

The Spirit of the Divine Messenger, the Lord of the Crossroads, He Who Owns All Doors and Roads in this World. He is the intermediary between the Orishas and mankind, and stands at the intersection of humanity and the Divine. He opens all paths of communication, both mundane and Heavenly. His ofrenda contains coconut, tobacco and sweet, sugared rum. Elegba is probably the first coconut I've tried with BPAL and I absolutely love it. The coconut is deliciously toasted and fragrant, the rum sweet. The tobacco only shows up at the very end before it fades away completely, thankfully.
-
Absolutely delicious. Verdandi is like an herbier version of The Hesperides, but it lasts longer on my skin. I need a bottle of this so I can slather myself in it!
