Origin - purchased from roesmoker Argh…I need someone else to smell this, because I know what it is but I can't name it! In the imp - it smells pink! Wet - sweet, soapy and very pink. I think there are carnations in this, but it's not the primary note. It's got a very sweet, almost bubblegumy floral note that makes me think of both lotus and ylang ylang, but I don't think it's either of them. Dry - It becomes ever so slightly spicy, but I think it's just the carnation, as oppposed to cinnamon or other spices. It doesn't last long on me at all, after about an hour it's completely gone. This is very floral, somewhat soapy, and not at all what I expected from something called Fire Eater. I know this is a prototype and may very well change in the final process. I will be passing this imp on so that more people have a change to try it. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

Origin - Part of a discontinued imp lot I bought fresh from the lab off of eBay. Wet - very sharp eucalyptus. Dry - as it dries the lemon comes out. This smells like Baku, only without the lavendar and anise. As much as I love Baku, these notes alone are not something I would wear. It smells like cold medicine. I had better toss this in the swap pile so someone else can have a chance to try this. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

A boisterous, belligerent, festive blend that lends to mad revelry, overindulgence and excess. Perfect for a weekend bender. Earthy musks combined with a beastial civet bouquet, a hint of sweet grape and orange blossom. Origins - part of a discontinued imp lot bought fresh from the lab off of eBay. Preconceived notions - I'm not a fan of grape at all, so I probably won't like this, but I am not afraid of civet blends. It's at least worth trying. Wet - Very, very grape, with something deeper underneath. It almost immediately morphs on me to baby powder and dirty diaper with a tinge of grape. I really doubt it's the civet; this is very similiar to the morph that Haunted and a few other scents have had on me, and I think the culprit is black musk. I know that the combination of amber and black musk smells like this on me, but I don't know if this contains amber, or if the black musk is doing it all on its own. Dry - no change...powder, dirty diaper and the tiniest bit of grape. Obviously this is not for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 1.

Origins - part of a discontinued imp lot bought fresh from the lab on eBay In the bottle - okay, this is the oddest scent I have ever smelt. Very metallic; it almost smells like mercury. Wet - as soon as it hits my skin, it's all cinnamon. Cinnamon red-hots, not the pretty brown cinnamon I love so much. My cat is running away from me! What the heck is in here anyway? The cinnamon is so strong it's making my eyes water. I know there's something else in here besides cinnamon, but I can't quite make it out, mostly because the cinnamon is banging it on the head right now. Talk about your aggresive scents. Dry - Ooh, I think I smell lavendar. Oh never mind, it's gone. I think there are other notes in here besides cinnamon, but I don't think I'll ever get a chance to find out. This fades rather quickly for such an agressive scent; I guess the cinnamon got tired from bludgeoning the other notes. I just don't think I'll be keeping this imp, and I certainly won't be turning my back on it. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

Origins - Freebie from the lab. In the bottle - this is so overwhelmingly grape, that I almost pass on trying it on. Wet - Very grape, but with a bit of patchouli underneath. Dry - As it dries, this just vanishes into my skin. Ah wait, there it is! The grape has mellowed a bit and I get traces of patchoulii and nag champa. This is surprising light for a patchouli blend, and fades completely away in about an hour. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

I could have sworn I tried this before. Maybe I did, who knows. All I know is I was lumping it in with the milk scents that disappear on me: Sudha Segara, Alice, Dragon Milk, etc. I was at Black Broom today and had to wait around a bit, and thought, "What the heck, I'll give it a try." Hey, this works on me! It's a milk and honey scent I can wear. It smells fantastic on me, and it's lasted a few hours so far, so no disappearing immediately into my skin, as milk tends to do. Sure it's light, and there's not a lot of throw, but I can't ask for too much, can I? This is going on my big bottle list now. What does it smell like? Oh yeah, *sniffs* milk, honey, and oatmeal. Fantastic! On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

Wet - Lavendar and herbs. Dry - Lavendar, lemon verbena and a bit of rosemary. I can almost smell the Frankincense, but every time I think I find it, it scurries away. I love herbs and herbal blends, and this one is quite nice, but I would love it more if the Frankincense would just sit still. One hour later - hey look, the frankincense sat still finally. It's front and center, but now the rest of the notes have gone away. I wish this was the rich, gorgeous Frankincense of Anne Bonny, but it's not, it's rather thin. This is nice, and as I said before I love herbals blends, and I just may pick up a bottle sometime down the road, but it's not quite a must have. Close though. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 3.

Wet - a very light dragon's blood and amber. Dry - it takes about 15 mintues to go to powder. I wish amber didn't hate me so! On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

Wet - floral, perfumy ozone. Dry - it get a bit more aquatic but it gets more perfumy too. Now it just smells like a dryer sheet. I think for the most part, ozones and aquatics aren't for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 1.

Chocolate and Cocoa, in every combination possible
wickedgoddess replied to mand's topic in Recommendations
Of the three I have tried, Velvet is my favorite, because the chocolate mixed with sandalwood isn't a sweet chocolate at all, but it's so delicious I want to gnaw my arm off. Tezcatlipoca is dark and delicious also; it's more of a chocolate and incense blend. Centzon Totochtin is too fruity for my tastes, but it's still nice. -
Origin - imp received in a swap Preconceived Notions - Apricot is a note that turns my stomach, and I actually swapped for this before I realized it contained apricot (that part was cut off in my spreadsheet). Wet - Apricot! It figures, with 3 notes I love and 1 that I hate, that it would be the one I hate that is most prominent. Still it smells gorgeous although very light, so I slather more on. This is sweet and sexy and if I can get past the apricot, I just might love it. Dry - a delicous spicy vanilla with a touch of apricot. The blend of vanilla, white ginger and just the barest hint of jasmine is one of the most delicous scents I have tried, and the apricot isn't nearly as off-putting as I feared. If this was apricot-free, I would be bathing in this stuff, but as it is, I still find it fantastic, and will consider a bigger bottle down the road. It also lasts much longer than I originally thought it would. Now if Beth would only make this same blend with pear instead of apricot, I would be in scent heaven!! On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

Origin - imp received in a swap Wet - Wow, this is bitter! It smells like bitter grapefruit with a waft of cherry blossom. Dry - as it dries the cherry blossom becomes stronger, and it's a beautiful mix of sweet and bitter. The tea is there is the background as well, although I wish it were stronger. This smells exotic and even though I don't like grapefruit at all, I find myself liking this. It doesn't last very long on me; after an hour it's all gone. I will keep the imp for those days I want to smell a bit different, but I probably won't be picking up a bottle. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 3.

You know that smell when you're making candy and the sugar starts to carmelize? That's what this smells like. I didn't think I would like this at first, it sounded too sweet, but after seeing the reviews I decided to seek out an imp to try. And I am not disappointed. It is sweet, but not too sweet, there is a bit of darkness here. This is strong too, quite a bit of throw and it lasts and lasts. I LOVE this! Origin - Imp received in a swap Wet - this is very pretty and light. Dry - as it dries it becomes dusty, in the same way that Rose Red became dusty. The ylang-ylang is just barely there; it just adds a touch of sweetness to the mix. Since I like my rose grounded by something heavier, this isn't for me, but if you're a rose lover, it's very nice. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

Origin - imp received in a swap Wet - some sort of root that I have smelled somewhere before, galangal perhaps? Dry - the root scent is joined by a touch of floral and something spicy, but it's still the predominant note. I've tried this twice now while being depressed and it really is helpful in terms of making me forget about my problems. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, I would rate this a 2 for the scent, but a 4 overall, including efficacy. And this is yet another that I will probably get a big bottle of eventually.

Origin - imp received in a swap Wet - sandalwood and frankincense. The patchouli is present, but it's content to stay in the background. Dry - as it dries the patchouli becomes more prominent, competing with the sandalwood for attention. This is a delcious, sexy scent, and another possible big bottle for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

Origins - imp received in a swap Incensy with the softest touch of floral. I don't get any floral notes in particular, it's soft and pretty and stays mostly in the background. The vetiver is under control here; it doesn't make me want to scrub it off. This is nice but not extraordinary. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 3.

Origins - gift imp received in a swap Wet - this smells strangely appealing. I took a sniff, and enjoyed the lingering scent so much, I had to try it on. It's definitely earthy. Dry - loam and patchouli! I can't identify any other notes and I really don't get floral from this at all. But wow, this is not something I would have tried on my own, and I really like this. This is one of those scents where I just can't stop sniffing my wrists. It's a bit too heavy and earthy for the summer months, but I could see myself buying a big bottle of this down the road. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

... A blend of traditional lunar oils touched with dry leaves, autumn bonfires, warm mulled wine, feral, animalistic notes and the chill of approaching winter. Origin - decant from a lovely forumite Wet - this smells sweet and golden. It's much sweeter than I expected. Dry - as it dries I get apple, wine and smoke. There is a touch of musk to this as well, but not as much as I was expecting. This appears to have notes in common with two of my favorites: Samhain and Mabon. The wine fades relatively quickly, leaving apple cider and burning leaves, with a trace of muskiness. My only complaint is that there isn't much throw; even wet it's very light on me. Still, I think it's my favorite of the Moon's. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

Origin - part of an imp lot bought on eBay Wet - This does seem to be the "tears" from Dragon's Tears. Aquatic, slightly salty, but not as salty as the oceanic note of Jolly Roger, with light florals. As it dries, the light florals come on a bit stronger, and I fear that this is going to be a blend I am allergic to. Dry - The floral is getting greener; a bit herbal. I can't even smell the aquatic note anymore. This truly is a cleansing, cathartic fragrance, but it's just not for me. This will be going on the swap pile, so that someone else can experience it. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 1.

Origin - imp fresh from the lab Preconceived Notions - I bought this because of the creamy vanilla, honey and clove, even though I know the cherries and vertiver will probably kill it for me. Wet - cherries, with a dark, musky note. Dry I am just about to note how delicous this is when it begins turning into a cacophony on me. I get cherries and honey/vanilla sweetness alongside the stomach turning retch of vetiver. Nope, this isn't going to work on me...the vetiver is taking over. All I get is cherries and vetiver now. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 1.

Preconceived Notions - This is something I got as part of an imp lot, and I wasn't particularly interested in it. I like dragon's blood, but I don't love it, and I haven't found any blends containing it that work for me. Same with aquatics; they're nice enough, but generally not something I want to wear. So it was with low expectations that I tried this on. Wet - wow, this is nice! The texture is very thin and yes, watery, and expecting it not to last, I slather more on. Dry - the dragon's blood and the aquatic element compliment each other beautifully. The aquatics soften the dragon's blood sweetness, making this a soft, spicy, slightly sweet but neither floral nor foody blend. I don't get much salt from this though; certainly not the same salt note I got from Jolly Roger. This is beautiful. There really is very little change during dry-down, and this has a moderate amount of throw and lasts about three hours on me, which is much better than I was expecting. I will definitely keep the imp, and it's very likely I will end up with a big bottle of this as well. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

Wet - dragon's blood and red hots! Dry - After about a half hour this mellows enough to become an enjoyable spicy blend., and the clove peaks it's head out. After an hour or so the dragon's blood is still there, but just barely. It's a nice scent, and I love spicy blends, but I prefer warm, spicy cinnamon to Red Hots candy cinnamon. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

Just when I decided that Maiden and Queen Mab would be my light scents for the summer, someone had to gift me an imp of this. Wet - pear and lily. Dry - hmm, looking at the description I see that it's not lily, but I am nut sure exactly what it is. The rose comes out as it dries, as does the magnolia, which is MUCH subtler here than in Black Dahlia. Lovely, lovely, lovely. It lasts a decent amount of time as well. Probably a big bottle in my future. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

Nine-tailed fox demon of Korean lore who transforms into the visage of an irresistible beauty in order to seduce men and lead them to their doom. A sharp, biting blend of crisp white tea and ginger. Origin - imp received in a swap. Wet - tea and ginger. Dry - it doesn't change at all, it stays true to tea and ginger. It's a nice, sharp ginger, but it's still a rather ordinary scent. I was a big fan of B&BW White Tea and Ginger hand soap, and this smells very similar to that, although the ginger smells fresher. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.
