    Ingenue

Origin - part of the discontinued circular swap. Wet - soft and pretty. Dry - I smell the violet leaf, it has a violet scent and yet is softer, it isn't hitting me over the head with its violetness. I could wear this. The rest of the notes are an indistinguishable blend of soft, pretty florals. This is something that would be appropriate for young girl, but is a bit too innocent for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2 .

    Goona Goona

Origin - part of the discontinued circular swap Wet - it's hard to pick out individual notes, but there appears to be a light rose in here. Unfortunately, it's a bit on the soapy side. Dry - oh yes, full on powdery rose, with something pleasant, another floral underneath. The powdery rose is overwhelming the other note. I would love to try this for efficacy, but unfortunately, it's just not going to work on me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2 .

    Chypre

Origin - part of the discontinued circular swap. Wet - violets *sigh* with a touch of lavender and behind it. I think I might get a bit of white musk too. Dry - I get a lovely hint of white musk behind the violet, but even though this softens once dry, it is still way too violet for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 1 .

    Glitter

Origin - part of the discontinued circular swap. Wet - right out of the bottle I get pink candy…yep, I see that lotus is an ingredient in here. On it smells a bit better, although lotus is still the strongest note for me. Dry - as soon as this begins to dry I get this lovely white wine and pear scent, but the lotus is stil present in the background. If it wasn't for the lotus I would enjoy this scent quite a bit, but I associate lotus with Barbie pink and girly girl stuff, and I just don't want to smell like that. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2 .

    Bruja

Origin - part of the discontinued circular swap Wet - Ah, lilac! There's a bit of warmth behind it, which must be the amber and myrrh, but wet, lilac is the prominent note. Dry - I think this is the first lilac BPAL blend I have tried, and while I like lilac, like orange blossom it may be a bit too floral for me to wear. The amber has gone a bit powdery as well, as amber tends to do on me. It's only slightly powedery though, I can smell a bit of the amber coming through. This is an interesting, pretty blend, but on me, it's only fair. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2 .

    Phobos

Twin to Deimos and child of War, Phobos is the embodiment of terror and mortal fear. Chilling white musk, lemon verbena, white grapefruit and lemongrass. Origin - part of the discontinued circular swap Wet - lemon and a tiny bit of grapefruit. Dry - similar in a way to Yuki-Onna. Lemon's not a great note on me, and I don't like grapefruit, so this isn't going to be one of my faves. Still, I am glad I got a chance to try it. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2 .

    Typhon

Origin - Discontinued Circular Swap Wet - this smells strong. Red patchouli is immediately noticable and I get a very light amount of vetiver. Now I thought I hated vetiver, but Lenore showed me that vetiver could be quite nice in some blends. This is such a soft, light vetiver that I find myself liking it. Dry - Well first of all, the black musk is behaving itself, which is quite a surprise. This is a dark, earthy scent...vetiver is now the strongest note, but it is still a soft vetiver. I smell sandalwood and red patchouli and this is very pretty, but a bit strong for everyday wear. Still, of all the discontinued scents I have tried in this batch, this is my favorite, and it lasts forever! If I had an imp I would probably hang on to it, but I wouldn't go looking for a bottle of this. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 3 .

    Glasya

Origin - Discontinued Circular Swap In the imp this smells incredible! This is exactly the kind of oil I love, but it's got that one dreaded note in there that makes me hestitate. That's right…black musk (bet you thought I was going to say civet). Black musk turns to a horrid dirty diaper smell on me, so I tend to stay away from blends that contain it. But everything else in here sounds so yummy, I have to give it a chance. Wet - on it smells musky, almost incensy, and yet there is something discordant in the mix that is preventing me from loving it. It smells almost bitter. Dry - This softens quite a bit, although the red musk remains prominent. The bitter smell vanishes, but there's a bit of dustiness in here, which could be a result of either the black musk or the rose on my skin. Nice, but Debauchery is a similiar and superior scent. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 3 .

    Yuki-Onna

Origin - Discontinued Circular Swap Wet - I smell lemon, but it's a light lemon, mixed with something else. Dry - it doesn't really morph much, it just a light lemony scent. I don't get any sandalwood or jasmine from this at all, which is a shame, as it would make this a bit more enjoyable. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2 .

    Aquarius

Origin - part of the Discontinued Circular Swap Wet - oh my! This is more like it! I don't recongnize a single note, but it's a delicious resiny scent. Dry - as it dries it softens and I get resin and woods and possibly some juniper. The longer this is on the spicier it becomes. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but I could swear there's some black pepper in here. Whatever the wood note is in this, I need more if it! It's rather ironic that neither Scorpio nor Libra worked on me, and yet this is beautiful! This is my favorite of all the celestials so far, but I still haven't managed to get my hands on some Aries. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 5.

    Sugar Skull

Sugar Skull 2005 Wet - like the other Halloween blends, this smells a bit different from last year's version. This is darker, more maple and less carmelized sugar, at least when wet. Dry - As it dries is smells more like the Sugar Skull I know and love. Dark, carmelized sugar. I still love this, although I think last year's version smells a tiny bit better when wet. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

    Lurid

Wet - initially this smells a little perfumey, not in a good way. I fear it's the lavender, even though I generally like lavender. I can detect the ozone too. Dry - lavender and white musk. On me, this is a nicer version of some of the masculine fougere perfumes, but underneath it all, there is a touch of dryer sheety perfuminess. Nice, but ultimately not for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

    Twenty-One

First, a confession. I am not a fan of gin martini's or gin in general. In fact, gin is the one liquor I cannot drink. But I ordered an imp of this anyone out of curiousity. I am not expecting to like it. Wet - Juniper. If you asked me a few months ago if I liked juniper I would have told you no, but this is the second blend I have tried recently, where I really like the juniper note. It smell warm, much warmer than a gin martini. Dry - yeah, I can see martini and yet, it smells better than a real martini does. It still has a bit of warmth from the juniper. I like this much more than I was expecting to, but I still can't see myself ordering a bottle. I probably will hang on to the imp though. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 beign best, this rates a 3.

    Blood Moon 2005

Wet - oh yeah, scentgasm! The most delicious combination of cinnamon and red musk. I have to restrain myself from drinking the bottle. Dry - I am probably crazy, but I get a bit of an aquatic note when this dries. It seems a bit watery and red….an absolute perfect avatar for blood! I can also smell a bit of the forest herbs, though nothing I can name outright. This is an absolutely beautiful blend and I am so glad I got a chance to grab a bottle of this. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

    Frost Moon

Wet - this smells practically icy! I can totally see it being the smell of frost. The only note I recognize is mint. Dry - this is an icy cold mint. A little stronger on the mint than I like, but at the same time it is such an amazing representation of cold, that I barely mind. I tried this mostly because of my son's obsession with eucalyptus scents, but I can only barely smell eucalyptus in this. I will hang on to the imp, but I doubt I will need more. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 3.

    Annabel Lee

Wet - this is very green smelling. I get sweet pea and peony and something with the tiniest bit of spice to it; probably the white sage. Dry - Mmm….cucumber. I forgot how much I like the scent of cucumber. Ah yes, sage too. I find myself liking this quite a bit, even though I am not particularly fond of sweet pea. Annambel Lee is my second favorite Poe poem, and I was sad when I saw the notes and thought I would hate it. This entire collection has been full of pleasant surprises like this. I just might pick up a bottle of this evenutally, and will certainly hang on to the imp. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

    Evening Star

Wet - a strong white floral, moonflower I presume. Dry - More of the notes come out, but it is still a piercing white floral. It captures the essence of the Evening Star quite well, but it's much too floral for my taste. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

    Rome

Wet - Something's not working for me, I can tell right away. I smell chamomile and powder. *sigh* it's probably the rose. Dry - yep, powder, and a rather unpleasant powder at that. I am disappointed as I like all of the notes in here, but it just wasn't meant to be. Hours later when this scent should be totally gone, I smell my wrist and get the slightest scent of chamomile and rose. Absolutely perfect, but unfortunately it's too little, too late. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rated a 1.

    Jazz Funeral

Rum, bourbon and magnolia? I was expecting to love this so much that I saved this bottle for last. And yet wet, this smelled almost like cleaning fluid. Generally I love boozy notes in my perfume, so this makes me sad. As it dries, the graveyard dirt comes on strong, along with something that tickles my nose. It smells like dust. Dust and cleaning fluid. Hmmm..this just isn't going to work on me. Consider me heartbroken. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

    Dia de los Muertos

2005 Version I loved last year's Dia more for it's ability to create a scenario than for the scent itself. Still, it's lovely and I was looking forward to picking up another bottle of it. Wet - a sweet white floral and something a bit dusty. It almost makes me sneeze. This doesn't smell a thing like last year's Dia. Dry - This smells like a richer ylang ylang; the cactus blossom I presume. After a bit the honey comes out, and this is a lovely honeyed floral. It still doesn't smell a thing like last year's Dia though. I even tried them on side-by-side, and they are completely different. I will definitely hoard my bottle of Dia 2004, but this one, I don't know, I really don't see myself keeping it. It's pleasant enough, but it's not what I love about Dia, and it makes my nose itch. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

    Samhain

2005 Version Wet - Cinnamon! This smells like last year's Samhain with slightly less fruit and way more cinnamon. Dry - as it dries I start smelling apples…yum! Still, even with the apples coming out, this seems sharper than last year's version. I need to try them side by side, but at this point, I prefer Samhain 2004 to Samhain 2005. This lasts forever, probably the longest lasting of all the BPAL oils on my skin. On extreme drydown this is primarily apple and spice, with a bit of autumn leaves. The patchouli seems to be much lighter than in the 2004 version, but that is quite possibly because 2004 has had a year to age. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 5.

    Pumpkin Patch V (2005, 2006)

Wet - the fifth and final Pumpkin Patch is a gorgeous trip into a real pumpkin patch. I smell woods and greenery, and a tiny bit of pumpkin, althouh it is quite subdued. Absolutely gorgeous! Dry - it stays pretty much the same, although the pumpkin note gets a bit more prominent. I want to call this Hamadryad with pumpkin, but it's really better than that. It's what I hoped Hamadryad would be, plus a little pumpkin. Lovely and very evocative of walking through the woods and stumbling upon a wild pumpkin patch. A keeper! On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 4.

    Spirits of the Dead

Who knew that Spirits of the Dead smelled like tea? In the imp it smells somewhat like The Apothecary. As it begins to dry, it smells a bit like Embalming Fluid. Fitting I suppose. Completely dry it's dusty and bone white. Perhaps a bit too dusty…I shouldn't try this one while I have a headache, because it is excaberating it. This is another evocative scent, this is the smell of walking through a dusty tomb filled with cobwebs. I will try this again, but I don't think that it will ultimately be for me. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 2.

    Lenore

I am not a fan of vetiver, but in the bottle this smells gorgeous! I need to give this a try. Wet - as soon as this touches my skin the vetiver strengthens, yet it's not unappealing. Vetiver and lemon peel are the two notes I worry about the most in this blend, and yet they are the only ones I smell now. I am curious to see where this will take me. Dry -The vetiver fades and this becomes soft and earthy. I can smell the patchouli now, but it blends so well with the vetiver that it's barely noticable. This is a skin scent, as lovely as it is dark. This scent is haunting; I find myself almost obsessing over this. I am sure I will be picking up a bottle before this is gone. On the wickedgoddess scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best, this rates a 5.
