  1. In the bottle - Berries and wood.

Wet on me - Boozy, creamy berries.

Dry on me - Dark and spicy and very sexy. The berries are there and so's the wood, but they're backed by a wonderful earthy vanilla.

  2. In the bottle - Chocolate and something floral.

Wet on me - Sweet, spicy and earthy.

Dry on me - The patchouli takes over, it's dark and earthy. I like it, but I know from experience that others find it too heavy on me.

  3. In the bottle - Jasmine

Wet on me - The sharpness of the juniper berries is coming through, but jasmine has a tendancy to go toilety on me and that's the dominant feeling of the blend.

Dry on me - In the background I think the powderyness of the juniper is nice, but I can't get over the jasmine.

  4. In the bottle - Black currant, the orange peel and something slightly mecidinal I can't quite place.

Wet on me - Dark, earthy berries

Dry on me - The berries dominate, when it fades it becomes woody.

  5. In the bottle - White musk (just like the old body shop range). Dry and perfumy.

Wet on me - At first lily and then a kind of soapy cleaness.

Dry on me - This is very much a scent of the moment, the snow is thawing and the snowdrops and crocus' are showing again. In feel it's very similar to Prague. It fades very quickly, leaving a sweetish musk tail.

  6. In the bottle - Almost nothing, very, very faint roses.

Wet on me - Sugared roses with a touch of sandalwood(?)

Dry on me - At first it goes into overly lush, wet roses. In about an hour, its become a sweet slightly spicy scent, with roses in the background. Not unlike Othello. This lasts for ages gradually fading to just the rememberance of the spice.

  7. In the bottle - Bubblegum and booze.

Wet on me - Initially sweet red musk, with the other musks behind it, but the musks come forward quickly.

Dry on me - Oh dear. I really wanted to love this, but one of the musks (or a combination of them) smells like stale sweat on my skin. Give it a couple of hors and I can see why people are loving this, it smells like my skin has been sugared in the lightest possible way, but I just can't take the sweat.

  8. In the bottle - Primarily caramel, with hints of coconut and tobacco :P .

Wet on me - Coconut, caramel and a slightly aquatic note, which I'm guessing is the delphinium.

Dry on me - At first it becomes a clean, slightly soapy floral. Then it turns to ashes. Finally the intensity of the opium and the Asian spices comes through, giving a warm glowing sort of scent. I love this dry down, but it took nearly 4 hours to reach this stage.

  9. In the bottle - Chocolate and black cherries, much like a black forest gateau.

Wet on me - Initially dark chocolate with a slight edge of orange. There is also a suspicion of ashes/dust, but mostly that's hidden by the chocolate.

Dry on me - At first it becomes ashes. Maybe an hour or so later they go and the rich scent of molten chocolate returns.

  10. In the bottle - Rose predominantly with other florals in the background. A very 'traditional' blend, if that makes sense.

Wet on me - Soft wet rose, with something sharp behind it. A heavy blend, considering how floral it is.

Dry on me - A soft, green floral, pretty, but not me.

  11. In the bottle - Very soft red musk with the lilac behind it.

Wet on me - The predominant is the almost berriness of the juniper. On the whole it's a light, green scent.

Dry on me - It becomes more and more candy like, before fading to a soft creaminess that bearly sits on my skin.

  12. In the bottle - Woody - primarily the slightly sweet, slightly coconuty scent of the red sandalwood.

Wet on me - Still the sandalwood, but with a darker almost ozoney smell behind it.

Dry on me - It fades very quickly to a soft creamy musk. I have to admit on me it was a bit meh.

  13. In the bottle - the spiciness of the red musk, with a slightly sharp metallic tang to it and something vaguely 'animal' in the background (civet?)

Wet on me - Sharp; sharp metal from the red musk, sharp animal from the civet and sharp spice from the opium. Oddly behind all that sharpness there is something powdery and almost flowery.

Dry on me - I'm not that familiar with civet so I presume it's this that makes this blend somehow green yet earthy and animalistic. The scent is pleasant enough, but my emotional reaction is not. This blend made me feel old and tired, jaded. It made me feel not only that I'd been there, done that, but that I'd been too far and done too many things. I suppose it's kind of fitting for a blend called Debauchery, but I doubt I'll reach for it again.

  14. In the bottle - Intialy a hit of vanilla sugar followed by a clean linen smell.

Wet on me - Candy floss - specifically the bit of candy floss that end up stuck to the stick, because it has gotten damp and sticky. But still with that clean linen in the background.

Dry on me - It fades quickly leaving just a hint of that warm sweet cleaness. However, I'd quite happily reapply and regain that initial sugar hit. I think I may need a bottle.

  15. In the bottle - Oddly the first thing I smell is lettuce, there is something darker, more airy behind it, but I don't know what.

Wet on me - Green and yet dark and yet sweet. Very interesting and not unpleasant.

Dry on me - The green becomes more spicy, for a while it smells of geraniums. It fades quite quickly, becoming sweeter until it disappears.

  16. In the bootle - Sandalwood and butter (which may be how I'm reading pumpkin).

Wet on me - Predominantly sandalwood, with the faintest touch of something green, which I can only presume is the orris.

Dry on me - Soft powdery violets (the orris I guess). Pretty, but still very much a grown up sort of scent to me. Very different to what I expected.

  17. In the bottle - Butter, sharp fruits, digestive biscuits and coconut :P .

Wet on me - More decidedly fruity. Clean, crisp pomegranate backed by cream and butter.

Dry on me - The pomegranate takes over completely, dark, green, earthy pomegranate, fresh and ripe, but all the same just pomegranate.

  18. 2005

In the bottle - Dark, earthy fruits. It's sweet, but not the teeth aching maple syrup sweet of the 2004 version.

Wet on me - Less fruit than in the bottle, sweeter and more spicy.

Dry on me - Dark cherries (which actually smell like cherries rather than almonds) drizzled in syrup :P . This is lovely, I still prefer last years, but this is a very close second.
