  1. In the bottle - A clean, almost herbal resin

Wet on me - A dark brackish resin with a vinegary tone

Dry on me - This just smells a bit sweaty on me I'm afraid

Overall - Didn't agree with my skin chemistry

  2. In the bottle - Soft untuous marzipan

Wet on me - Again the soft marzipan, but now with a smokey background and just a hint of rose

Dry on me - The rose comes out more and more and ends up dominating the blend

Overall - I'm not really a rose fan so when it dominates like this it's not form me

  3. In the bottle - Leather and coffee and almost something boozy

Wet on me - Clean musky leather with a spicy undertone. I still think there's something boozy about it

Dry on me - Clean, dry, musky leather

Overall - I really like leather, but I need something to go with it, either sweet or spicy, and the other notes just don't come through. Maybe the leather will mellow with age

  4. In the bottle - A clean but slightly harsh metallic note

Wet on me - A very grey scent, one that feels dark and slightly damp. Definitely metal and I would have said a touch of musk as well

Dry on me - The dry down's really interesting, it melds into a sort of smooth slightly musky almost berryish scent that doesn't smell of wood or metal but still retains the feel of them

Overall - The dry down's unusual and I quite like that, but the wet stages are quite harsh and overall I think this blend is more masculine than something I would wear.

  5. In the bottle - Honey and something a bit nutty and an almost aftersmell of metallic dust

Wet on me - A sweet, rich almost medicinal smelling honey

Dry on me - A soft sweet slightly floral honey

Overall - Whilst honey is one of my favourite notes, I like this almost by default, I would have liked some more from the gun powder or that nutty note that I smelt in the bottle

  6. Cruelty and confinement, small magics and penny illusions: galbanum, teak, myrrh, narcissus, patchouli, cacao, labdanum, agarwood, lavender, neroli, and black moss.

In the bottle - Wood shavings

Wet on me - Yes, I still get wood shavings, softened by something like geraniums (goodness knows what combination of notes gives me that)

Dry on me - Kind of clean dry woods with a touch of musk

    Overall - Not really me

  7. In the bottle - Green, fresh cut leaves/stems and a hint of pepper

Wet on me - Softer, still green and pepper, but with a slight touch of something pepper

Dry on me - A soft powdery part floral/part musk scetn

Overall - Wet it's interesting and dry it's pretty, but neither stage is really me

  8. In the bottle - A sharp, floral, honey

Wet on me - Soft, powdery manderin with a musky honey beneath

Dry on me - It begins to take on a surprisingly animalistic musk scent, and I think it must be the honey (I know some honeys seem to go that way on some people, but it doesn't normally happen to me)

Overall - An unexpected development of the honey note leaves me feeling non too keen on this blend

  9. In the bottle - Sweet fruits with a sprinkling of sage on top

Wet on me - Something herbal and familiar that I can't quite put my finger on with hints of vanilla sweetness in the background

Dry on me - It fades leaving a faint fruity sweetness that I attribute to the pomegranate

Overall - It didn't make much of an impact, which is a shame because it was my most highly coveted yule

  10. In the bottle - Something sweet and fruity with a slightly smoky feel and an edge of coffee

Wet on me - The fruits come through more strongly and I get a creaminess that I think must be the rice porridge, but I still get smoke

Dry on me - Disappears entirely on my skin

Overall - A pity, because it seemed to start out as if it would be right up my street

  11. In the bottle - A rich, slightly sweetened red wine scent

Wet on me - The sweetness of the marzipan and the spices starts to come out more. There's something a lot like orange peel (complete with bitter pith) in there as well

Dry on me - It faded quite quickly on my skin, but the scarf I put on about an hour after application and then again 8 hours later smelt really like christmas pudding; dark and rich and filled with dried fruit and spices

Overall - I do like it, but I'd have to wear it in a scent locket and I would have liked more marzipan

  12. In the bottle - A soft rose note strangled by a screechy lily

Wet on me - The rose comes through more, but it's still a little high pitched

Dry on me - It disappears very quickly on my skin

Overall - Rose and lily are not my favourite notes so I don't mind too much that this doesn't last

  13. In the bottle - The salty floral of the lilac is most apparent

Wet on me - Again a soft lilac seems to be the main note, with a touch of the lily in the background

Dry on me - A green, salty floral

Overall - Neither lilac or lily are great on me, but this was not the screeching horror I thought it might be. It's still not my cup of tea though

  14. The dawning of hope and the blossoming of charity: vanilla, orange blossom, white sandalwood, mate, red tea, and carnation.

In the bottle - Quite a strong, sharp orange blossom note

Wet on me - Still very heavy on the orange blossom with hints of the sandalwood and carnation coming out

Dry on me - A clean white wood scent softened slightly by the vanilla

Overall - The notes that I was least keen on, the sandalwood and the orange blossom, dominate the blend

  15. In the bottle - A kind of hazy bergamot

Wet on me - I guess it must be the petitgrain but there's a really earthy almost metallic note under a slight sweetness from the tonka bean

Dry on me - A lighter, sweeter, green fruity scent with a sweet musk undercurrent

Overall - Very pretty, but not really something I would wear

  16. In the bottle - A fake, slightly chalky strawberry scent

Wet on me - Soft and creamy but overlain by that fake strawberry note

Dry on me - A slight hint of cream and an even slighter hint of sweetness

Overall - Faded very quickly on my skin

  17. In the bottle - Surprisingly green and herbal with the sweet/tart of the black currant in the background

Wet on me - A clean, fresh, medicinal note from the clove followed by dark, dark black currant

Dry on me - Disappeared completely on my skin

Overall - Didn't last on me at all

  18. In the bottle - Sweet soft florals with a candyfloss undercurrent

Wet on me - A sweet, clean melange of florals and fruits with an underlying green tone

Dry on me - A sweet, soft powdert floral mostly sweet pea I think

Overall - I was so excited about this, it was one of my most coveted scents, but it just didn't grab me

  19. In the bottle - A soft, green, slightly peppery floral

Wet on me - A peppery lettuce leaf (I don't know if that's the nature of wild lettuce or just a combination of all the notes)

Dry on me - I'm to too great with identifying florals and I don't know what any of the listed notes smell like, but there's the greeness of chlorophyl along with something soft and slightly sweet with a powdery feel and something harder and more peppery

Overall - It's not unpleasent, but it's also not something I would wear

  20. In the bottle - A dark, smokey note that I guess is the opium tar backed by a sickly sweetness

Wet on me - A touch of bitter vetiver comes out on the back of the smoke

Dry on me - It just gets eaten up on my skin

Overall - Didn't really work with ny skin chemistry; started off dry and bitter then got swallowed up

  21. In the bottle - A soft green lavender

Wet on me - Slightly sweetened with herbs, but still mostly lavender

Dry on me - A soft, soothing lavender blend, not a great deal of pomegranate

Overall - This would be great for bedtimes, it's soothing and relaxing, but not so HELLO LAVENDER that it wouldn't be wearable as a scent

  22. In the bottle - A slightly green pomegranate scent

Wet on me - Bright and zingy; an almost candied pomegranate with sparkling globuals of refreshing lime and grapefruit

Dry on me - A clean, candied fruit scent

Overall - It's pretty, but I have to admit it doesn't grab me

  23. In the bottle - The slightly ammonia scent of the jasmine with just a hint of pomegranate

Wet on me - Mostly jasmine still, but slightly muted by the pomegranate

Dry on me - The jasmine dominates

Overall - Jasmine used to be a death note for me and whilst I'm becoming more tolerant of it in certain blends this just doesn't do it for me
