In the bottle – A hard polished wood sort of scent Wet on me – Sharp wood, vanilla and something mouldy :bleh: Dry on me – It warms to what I would call an aftershave type scent Overall – On the whole this is too sharp and too masculine for me
-
In the bottle – The citrus and the verbena and, well I would have said vetiver, but clearly I’m wrong. This reminds me of one of the Voodoo Blends, but I can’t think which one Wet on me – The scent that rises up off my skin is the cedar, but if I sniff my skin I get the citrus and the verbena Dry on me – A warm cedar blend that softens and develops a creamy edge as time goes on Overall – The dry down is enjoyable, but on the whole I think that there’s too much cedar for me
-
In the bottle – Very sweet rich cream, reminiscent of the first Beaver Moon Wet on me – The pineapple is more prevalent and there’s something oddly powdery in the background Dry on me – A pleasantly sweet vanilla, with just a hint of the spices from the rum Overall – I suspect that thus is suffering from my expectations; I expected to be wowed by this blend, but whilst it’s nice and I would quite happily wear it, I’m just not wowed
-
In the bottle – The coconut and lemon blossom, with just a hint of musk behind them Wet on me – Again the coconut and the lemon blossom dominate Dry on me – Sweet soft woods, comforting in a masculine sort of way Overall – I was a bit scared by the possibility of the black musk, but overall this is a very nice blend
-
In the bottle – It’s difficult to actually put my finger on it. Sweet, powdery red berries (and yes I know that bears no relation to the listed notes) Wet on me – There remains a soft, sweet pinkness now with what I would have said was anise Dry on me – For the most part it’s a lovely soft candied petal scent, but for about 2 hours in the middle it becomes really acrid ashes Overall – Another blend ruined for me by the ash affect on my skin
-
In the bottle – Overly sweet, artificial smelling almonds and a kick from the rum Wet on me –Cherry Cola Dry on me –Cherry Cola, but a posh approximation, with a hint of spice Overall – It’s not what I expected but I like it a lot
-
In the bottle – I would have said that was green coconut with pepper and a smidgen of earth, but what do I know? Wet on me – It’s very hard to describe, it’s warm, but green, with a hint of pepper Dry on me –Warm and creamy and yet green and woody an always with an underlying current of pepper Overall – Frankly I’m amazed at this blend. It has completely won me over with its layers of scent
-
In the bottle – The sweet then bitter scent of the grapefruit is the primary scent Wet on me – Again the grapefruit remains dominant, with a very clean soft scent behind it Dry on me –Soft sweet grapefruit Overall – A clean crisp grapefruit blend. Nice but no what I expected
-
In the bottle – Sweet, sweet pineapple with just a hint of citrus Wet on me – Sweet pineapple, molten sugar and a hint of raspberry Dry on me –The fruits soften and meld into a warm skin scent Overall – This is a much gentler scent than I anticipated, but still lovely
-
In the bottle – That’s very sharp lavender Wet on me – Lavender and mint, less astringent than I would have expected Dry on me –A soft mintiness from the pennyroyal Overall – this may come in useful as a soothing room scent, but I can’t see me wearing it
-
In the bottle – Something sharp and sour wit vetiver underneath Wet on me – The dark bitter scent of the vetiver is prevalent Dry on me –It disappeared very quickly Overall – As far as I’m concerned it’s brevity is this blends only positive attribute
-
In the bottle – I have no idea what that is, kind of floral, kind of incensy, kind of sweet, my best guess at a note is some sort of lily, but I could be miles off Wet on me – I still don’t know what this smells like, it’s kind of like banana, but with sharp floral overtones Dry on me –A faint, powdery floral Overall – As a scent it didn’t really work on me and it didn’t seem to have much impact on my mood or luck, but I suspect a day when I’m hormonal and over stretched is never going to be ideal
-
In the bottle – Pencil shavings Wet on me – Again with the pencil shavings, but a little softened by the florals Dry on me –A little soap and then it disappeared Overall – Never really made an impact
-
In the bottle – There is a real hit of tangerine and then soap Wet on me – A kind of plasticky tangerine Dry on me –There are long phases of stale ashes before settling into a light bubbly citrus blend Overall – This combined with Blue fire suggests that I can add gin to the notes I can’t wear
-
In the bottle – Ylang-ylang with a slight hint of the amber Wet on me – A kind of powdery, barely there smokiness with just a hint of ylang-ylang Dry on me –Warm DBR with sweet amber and a touch of opium Overall – I love this – sweet but not foody, sensual but not sexy, soft but not girly
-
In the bottle – Dark, bitter greenery with just a hint of sea salt Wet on me – The damp leaf mould of dark woods Dry on me – A soft, ever so slightly sweet, green scent Overall – This was better on me than I anticipated, but still not me
-
In the bottle – The main fruit scent is the papaya and surprisingly (to me) you can really smell the gin underneath Wet on me – It’s a slightly peculiar scent combination. The first hit is the sweet juicy papaya with a touch of sharpness from the lemongrass, but the dryness of the gin sits just behind it Dry on me – The papaya puts up a valiant effort, but is eventually swamped by ashes soaked in gin, which is not good Overall – I’m gutted that this blend just will not work on my skin
-
In the bottle – Very sweet violets and strawberries Wet on me – Fresh green grass and soap? Dry on me – This smells remarkably like Lush’s Honey I Washed The Kids soap, which I like, but there are slight dusty hints, which I don’t Overall – I suspect if I ever feel the need to smell like this I’ll where the HIWTK solid perfume as it doesn’t turn to dust on me
-
In the bottle – A sweet soothing lavender Wet on me – A warm slightly medicinal combination of the sage and lavender Dry on me – A clean dry masculine scent with hints of a herbal undertone Overall – This is nice, if a bit too masculine for me to wear
-
In the bottle – Whoa heavy vetiver Wet on me – The vetiver is still the dominant note, something sweet and berryish tries to come in from the background, but it’s quickly smothered Dry on me – It disappears very quickly to faint musk Overall – I’m afraid I got sucked in the hype, but this just didn’t work on my skin
-
In the bottle – The bubblegum sweetness of the lotus with what I would say is dragons blood resin behind it Wet on me – An oddly dirty version of the soft lotus sweetness Dry on me – The sweetness of the lotus made deeper and smoother Overall – This is gorgeous and right up my alley, 3 cheers for frimps
-
In the bottle – Soft and fruity and mildly spicy Wet on me – Soft creamy citrus notes Dry on me – Faint slightly sugared, orange blossoms Overall – Pretty but not me
-
In the bottle – This will sound odd, but this smells like the base for a shampoo if that makes sense at all Wet on me – Green and smoky herbs, sort of medicinal Dry on me – A dry green musky scent Overall – Actually I enjoyed this more than I expected to, but I doubt it’ll be a favourite
-
In the bottle – Tart orangena with a dirty back drop Wet on me – A light sweet citrus with slightly floral edges Dry on me – A sweet musky skin scent with just a hint of fruit Overall – I like this blend a lot
-
In the bottle – Lovely fresh, bright nectarines Wet on me – Lush juicy nectarines with a hint of green and an undertone of musk Dry on me – A light fizzy white musk Overall – This is very pretty, but it doesn’t really grab me
