Dry and smooth, the parchment and beeswax are standouts here. I can definitely see how people are getting a man's cologney smell from this, as the more it wears the more it does that on my skin. It's sweet, and a little sharp.

    Interfector

Ok, I have no idea what's doing this here but something is going REALLY sweet on my skin. Almost brown-sugary. I can detect the tobacco and frankincense here, but this is almost cloying. Yeah, this is not for me.

    Transeo

This has got to be the weirdest scent I have ever sniffed. Wet, I could have sworn I just rubbed Pez on my wrists. It was orange and candy-like. As it dries, it settles and blends a little better, and I'm left with something oddly disjointed. It's sweet, but sharp and also a little powdery. The juniper and wine are very prevalent on my skin, and combined with the orange/mandarin it's... well.... unsettling.

Ok, let me preface this review by stating frankincense and rose hate me. I amp frankincense and rose usually goes to ammonia. That said... I really like this one! The frankincense is staying well-behaved and the roses are dry enough that they stay smelling like powdered roses. The candle smoke lends it a bit of an airy kind of feel here, and I can't detect the saffron very well. Overall, I quite like this, which is surprising given the notes. It is a little powdery on me though.

    VILF

This went screaming LEATHER on my skin when I first applied. For awhile it was all I could smell, it was a little chemically and sharp. Eventually it calmed down and the pink pepper came out with the patchouli and a hint of sweetness, but this virtually disappeared on my skin at the two hour mark.

    Silenti

I'm shocked. It's a floral. And I like it. What? For serious. This starts out heavy on the lilac and wisteria, but the moss adds a smooth "fuzzy" tone here and the resins sweeten everything up just beautifully. As it dries, the moss becomes more prominent on my skin and the myrrh goes just a little powdery, but it works.

    Vespillo

Wet, the neroli in this is a standout. It's neroli and patchouli at first, a little dirty really, and then the jasmine comes out. For a short time the jasmine starts to amp (I don't do jasmine very well), but it settles down and smoothes out. As it dries, it starts to remind me a little of Gun Moll, but a more floral and perfume-y version. The clove stays pretty tamed here.

    Misericordia

This reminded me a little of a fruity but darker Yvaine. The magnolia/lavender combo is similar here, but the opoponax lends a darker edge, while the currant adds some fruity tartness. It's still sweet though, if that makes sense.

Sitting up with a Sick Friend

Powdery rose and violets here, with just a hint of leather. I can only really detect the smokiness if I'm actually looking for it. Mainly on me this is a powdery floral perfume, very classic, and very vintage feeling.

Autumn Moon of the Mirror Stand

This one was really interesting. When I first applied it, I could have sworn I applied O. It smelled exactly the same as it went on my skin. Almost immediately the quince bloomed, and there was a hint of sharpness to the fruit and honey/vanilla. The quince blended in with the other notes soon enough and the mandarin came out a little more, tempering the quince. The end result on my skin was a sweet, languorous and golden scent. I didn't find the booze too boozey,

Wet, there was a blast of carnation that quickly settled down. The pear and lime sugar were at the forefront on me, and as it settled, the musk deepened it a bit. The thyme seemed to curb some of the sweetness, but it was still pretty sugary on me. Overall, it stayed pretty light.

    Moxie

I'm getting oranges and ginger here, but with a hint of something woodsy in the background, adding some depth. This is doing it's job well though! I woke up exhausted and feeling like I didn't want to move today, and Moxie is kicking my ass into gear. Definite keeper!

    Fledgling Raptor Moon

I wanted to love this. I really did. All of the notes were total win for me. And then it hit my skin. The carnation bloomed instantly on me, and for awhile overpowered almost everything in here. Then the toasted sandalwood came forward and added a rather bitter edge to the scent. About an hour in, it reminded me of Count Dracula a little bit. It was sharp on me. I kept waiting for the vanilla or clove to come out and round things out here, but it just didn't happen. FRM and I just were not meant to be I guess.

    SDPU1

I got lavender, and fruit and a sweet, light resin. It was definitely more fruity than incensy on my skin, but there was a hint of something powdery underneath.

    Gypsy

I agree that this is very similar to Dorian. But where Dorian goes to funk on me, this stays a wonderful vanilla musk with a hint of spice. The sugar behaves here, and doesn't go to burnt caramel like it can on my skin. This is soft and comforting, and the DH really loves it. It's creamy and warm, and the tonka adds just a hint of depth.

    Mysterious Warning

I really like this. Like, REALLY like this. I get lavender and it does in fact remind me a little of TKO. But where TKO is comforting, the leather here adds an edge. The amber sweetens things up here. Just. WOW. This does remind me a little of Liz crossed with TKO. There's a hint of smoke about it too.

    Black Widow Circus

I received a tester of this from the wonderful bookandbroom! I get plum, incense and some sort of dark floral. Maybe dragon's blood? There's anise in here too, and some sort of wood. But I cannot pinpoint the type. This is a very intriguing scent, but I can't decide if I like it or not. There's something off-putting about this.

    Sekhmet v5

I'm getting a metallic/incensy vibe from this one. It's a little sharp and dry, all at the same time. Something here is going a little soapy on my skin as well. It's nice, but not something that I would usually wear. I agree that it's got a desert feel to it, very hot and dry. It doesn't last very long, and it's totally gone from my skin in about 2 hours.

    CD: Fire Dancer v9

YES! Hackess nailed it exactly. I couldn't figure out why this blend smelled so familiar to me, and it's very much a cinnamon version of Chrysanthemum Moon. There is an initial blast of cinnamon, and then it settles into a spicy and perfumey scent. It must be the opium note that I'm smelling here. It's really wonderful, and the throw is like whoa on my skin. I only dabbed a drop on my wrist and I could easily smell it with my arms relaxed at my sides. This is warm and alluring.

    Snake Oil Bath Oil

Aged Snake Oil in Bath Oil form. Really. I love this. I always wanted to bathe in Snake Oil. And now I can!!!! This left my skin ridiculously soft and there was no greasy after-feel. It absorbed really quickly. I love it, and I'll have to get more ASAP.

    Gertrude Dix's

I get a lot of vanilla orchid here, with just a hint of champagne and magnolia. It's a light and creamy scent. Very pretty. My living room smells like awesome.

    Xmvlzencab Bath Oil

Someone mentioned this smelled like Lady Una without the sharpness, and I really must agree. This is a musky honey scent on me with a hint of spice from the ginger. The plumeria gives it a slightly tropical feel. I really like this! It's very intoxicating. Also, it made my skin soft as anything, and it absorbed really well!

    Erebos Atmosphere Spray

This does indeed smell like TKO. Maybe a touch darker, but very very similar. I love it! I've been spraying our sheets with it, and it's just beautiful!

    Sara Pezzini

Lots of leather on me. I think I may amp leather though, so YMMV. This did remind me a lot of Liz, but without the floral overtones I get from Liz. Sweet and leathery, but not for me.

    Bette Noir

Ok, I thought I would love this. Unfortunately, the plum note is a little too strong for me here. I don't do well with overly fruity scents, and I seemed to amp the plum here. It went a little sharp on me. It does go very "perfume-y" on my skin too. I also got a lot of smoke here. Overall, it was a heady fruity floral with just a hint of resin.
