    The Traveller

Yup, this is all leather all the time on my skin. It's conjuring some pretty specific memories in fact. Much like Western Diamondback did for me, I am taken back to dance classes and trying on tap shoes. Same kind of leather here. Much into the drydown I get the herbs and a bit of soil, with just a faint hint of tobacco, but for the most part, these other notes are completely overshadowed by the leather.

    The Little Bird

Like a sweet meadow in spring. Yes there is ozone here, which on my skin is translating to soapy unfortunately. It's too bad, because I really liked this before it went soapy. Fresh, clean, but not biting. Mellow almost. It should be noted however, that my skin tends to hate green scents and ozone, so that that into account with this review.

    Ides of March 2010

Lemon at first... and then? Funk. I'm not entirely sure what the culprit is here, as all of the notes listed usually work for me. There must be something in the combination that is going a little off on my skin!

    The Harp of Cnoc I'Chosgair

Ok, this was a little reminiscent of Lamia (prototype) on my skin, with the vanilla/musk/cardamom. The tagetes lent a golden warm floral vibe to the mix. This is extremely cozy, but in a classy way. I like it, but it's a little too floral for me, so I'll keep my decant but I think that will be enough!

    Narkissos

So it looks like fairnymph and I have exactly the opposite tastes! Where Echo was an utter fail for me, I am swooning over Narkissos. Immediately, I get vanilla and oppoponax. A sweet, deep scent, but not dark! I get hints of narcissus but it never overtakes the blend for me. I also get a vague impression of spice, but nothing is jumping out as ANISE!!! on me. This is definitely more masculine than Echo, but infinitely more wearable for me.

    Echo

Alright, I'm not sure about this one at all! It starts off syrupy and sticky sweet. There is almost an overripe fruit aspect here that is making me slightly nauseous. As it dries, the over-sweet note starts backing off and it becomes a little more easy on the nose, but it's still too much for me. Its very golden and sticky. I can't think of how else to describe this. Further into the drydown I can actually detect the vanilla orchid and sandalwood, and the grey amber. I can smell something lovely underneath the sticky, syrupy scent that seems to be wafting from my wrist, but I just can't get to it.

    Chaste Moon 2010

Alright, unfortunately this went to clean white florals on me. Which also means soapy on my skin. Screaming, dryer sheet soapy. Not what I was hoping for, and not at all anything I can handle on my skin for extended periods of time. I'm very glad I went with just the decant.

    Candles Moon

Smooth creamy beeswax on me. Yum! This is lovely! I'm not getting any ozone here, nor am I getting any curdled milk. And surprisingly the blackberry isn't going to cat pee either. Just sweet beeswax and berries. However, I should mention that the berries are more sweet than juicy. I don't get anything that jumps out as FRUIT. I like this alot, but I already have a few scents in the same family so I don't know if I need to track down more. That said, I wouldn't kick Candles Moon out of bed.

    Needlework

Predominantly tea and lilacs on my skin. Unfortunately this goes soapy and a little "grandmother-ish" after about an hour or so. Hmmm... too bad.

    Lilith vs. the Giant Crab

This one surprised me. I actually love it!! I think it's the sandalwood, but where I thought this was going to be fruity and milky, it's actually got some depth and complexity to it. The tangerine cream note doesn't translate as cream on my skin, but rather a hint of orangey goodness that combines with the benzoin to create a really nice sweetness. The sandalwood here is pure love. I'm only getting a hint of the ambergris and pear, but all in all this is perfect for a sunny spring day like today. I may in fact need to hunt down a bottle because I keep huffing my wrists.

    Phantom

Note: my skin tends to amp the hell out of Rose. That said... ROSE!!!!! Screaming, ammonia-like ROSE!!!! on my skin. Well, that was disappointing. I can just barely detect the myrrh and musk underneath. Luckily, the ylang ylang is completely overshadowed by the rose here.

K, I'm not gonna lie here. When I first applied this, I made Stink-face of Doom (if you have absolutely any questions as to what this looks like, observe a cat when they've smelled something "interesting" on the carpet or whatever. They sit with their mouth open and the most absurd look on their faces. This is the look I made.) The caraway was absolutely overwhelming when it was fresh on my skin. As it settled though, the bergamot and neroli came out and rounded this out nicely. The amber adds a little bit of softness and the saffron stays relatively quiet. It's a bit of a spicy/resiny citrus blend. It's quite nice. Yup, I like this one.

    Enkhespalos

YUM! This is absolutely sex in a bottle. The leather, woods, tobacco and cognac blend seamlessly here so that the end result is a really smooooooooth scent. I'm interpreting this as a really masculine scent, but I'm not caring much about it because it is THAT. GOOD. I want to roll around in this like a cat. I'd love my husband to wear this, but honestly, I don't think we'd be ever leaving the house if he did.

I agree with previous reviewers that this isn't nearly as dark as I expected it to be. The blackened sandalwood goes a little powdery here, and the tonka and benzoin add a vanillic sweetness and depth. The nutmeg is almost non-existent on me. All in all, this is really quite light and it seems to be fading quickly.

    Unveiled

Well, this is a bit of a surprise. Blends with fruit in them tend to go to "juice" on my skin. Not here! I can smell the peach and mandarin making this blend sweet, but it doesn't go to juice on me. I think it may be the tea, amber and myrrh keeping them in check. This turns into quite the alluring warm blend on me. The amber doesn't go powdery on me, but rather lends a cool golden tone to the scent. The vanilla isn't very noticeable on me, rather, it provides a bit of creaminess to the peach and mandarin. Overall, I'm quite pleased. I like this one a lot more than I thought I was going to!

    Pink Mood

Wet on me this is straight up LICORICE in your face. I was a little worried at first, but after about a half hour, the licorice calmed down and the vanilla and cherry blossom came out. This is really, REALLY pretty. And it's an interesting scent all in all, not something I've really smelled before. It's unique smelling, is what I mean to say. The neroli is really faint on my skin, I can only smell it when I'm looking for it. There does seem to be a bit of a "clean" vibe to this, but I'm not getting anything soapy or dryer-sheet like, it's more of a crisp freshness.

On me this is honey and oakmoss with a hint of sandalwood underneath. The pepper is really quite soft here too. I really like this, and on me it tends towards the feminine. Sweet and a little intoxicating. The rice flower isn't making much of an appearance on me, beyond a hint of something mildly flower-like. Creamy, soft, and a little fuzzy.

    Womb Furie

Sigh. So I have this thing, wherein blends with Snake Oil, inevitably end up smelling like straight up Snake Oil. This was no different I'm afraid. I was hoping for more honey, but on my skin, the SO completely trounced any other notes. It's nice enough, but on me it's just a slightly sweeter version of regular Snake Oil.

So I should preface this review by stating that aquatics and I DO NOT get along. Having said that, this scent was actually quite nice on me. Not something I would reach for often, but nice enough that I enjoyed wearing it while testing, and that rarely if ever happens with anything aquatic like. The wet stage was just slightly soapy, but as it dried, the soapy notes wore off and I was left with a relatively soft violet with woods impression. The aquatic notes were still present in the dry stages, but they weren't "sharp" like they normally are on my skin. Overall, this was a surprisingly soft blend, and I can see it being rather popular with those who like their scents a little cleaner than I do.

    Penis Admiration

Well, this is definitely a creamy lilac blend on me. It's quite beautiful. The vanilla and lilac are the prominent notes on my skin. I wished the wood came out a little more, and maybe it will with aging. Overall, this is a win.

This. Is. Gorgeous. I think the best way to describe this smell is sex in spring. Not "actual" sex, but the anticipation and lusty feelings leading up to the first time you do it with someone new. The intoxicating rush and the sense of something new. The violets and narcissus give this a distinctive flowery smell, but the blend itself is not overly floral. More like a sweet freshness. The vanilla and orris prevent this from being straight up flowers on me, and give it some depth and softening. The entire effect is quite swoon-worthy. I want to bathe in this stuff!!

    Bayou

I'm getting jasmine, magnolia and gardenia with a heavy aquatic vibe. This is screaming soapy flowers on my skin, which does not agree with me at all. I can barely sniff out the moss underneath all of the flowers. I know it's trying to come out, but it's just not happening for me.

    Fire of Love

Vetiver, ginger and cedar, in that order on my skin. This is really dark and smoky. If there's patchouli in here it's buried fairly deep for me. DH seemed to really like it, I'm not so sure about it. It's a little disconcerting honestly.

    Black Death

This reminded me of Voodoo crossed with German Expressionist Horror or Schwarzer Mond or something. It was dark and deep and rich, with a decidedly masculine (on my skin) overtone to it. There is a sweetness as well. Overall this is predominantly patchouli and smoky sandalwood, with a hint of clove and lime underneath. It does go a little powdery on me though. Hmmm... I like it, but I'm not in love with it.

    Mlle. Lilith, Fortune Teller

Well, this is surprising. I like this a whole lot more than I thought I would. There is a fruity/candy like sweetness here with an incense undertone. It's actually quite a complex blend on me, and maybe that's why I like it so much. The pomegranate is a dominant note on my skin. I was worried that the sugar would go off on me, as it usually does, but it didn't happen here. The pink musk is a little sweet and fruity, and I can just barely detect the orange blossom too. I like this alot. It's light and sweet.
