I've never tried Shub in any way or form, so I have no clue what it's supposed to smell like. But all I smell is some spices and soap. Plain soap. I'm a bit disappointed. I sort of wonder if there's something wrong with my bar.....

They certainly do

I detect a little resemblance to Black Lace as well. A darker and heavier BL. After a little while there's just a tiny bit of sweetness coming through but it's still very dark, smokey and sexy. I just *knew* I was going to love it and it's all I could wish for and more

I didn't know what the notes were in Symmakhia when I tried it and I really thought it smelled like Peach Melba. So I was quite surprised it was pears instead of peach. I definitely detect the pear now and no more peach, but I still refer to it as a peach with an identity crisis. Anyway, I love Symmakhia. It's quite fruity but creamy at the same time. Perfect for summer.

A soft, delicate, creamy and powdery floral. And I mean that in the best way possible

Well, all I get from this one is the Lab's snow-note. Maybe it needs some more time to age or maybe this one just isn't meant for me

I agree with the people above me as well. This is an excellent polish for when you can't wear flashy bright colors. This is perfect for wearing to work. And perfect for me as well. I haven't worn polish in years, mostly because I was just too lazy to apply and remove it, so this is the perfect color to ease back into it.

I wish I was around when this was being sold. A lovely forumite gave me a sample a while ago and it smelled so good. I was a little hesitant to use it because I didn't want to be without it, but using it was actually more fun. Pure heavenly Snow White goodness! Hopefully there'll be a Snow White soap again in the near future.

Castitas bath oil was my first purchase from the TP and my first bath oil experience. I own several bath oils right now and I don't even own a bath so that says a lot I love them as an after-shower moisturizer. The scent is soft, warm, comforting and snuggly. It's too heavy for me when it's hot outside but the scent is excellent for when it's cold.

It's been a while since I've used a soap from Villainess and I remember now why I wasn't a big fan. It's just too drying for my skin. But, and it's a big but, I'll definitely continue using (and buying!) this one because it smells absolutely amazing! Starting the day with Snake Oil soap, followed by Snake Oil Bath Oil and Snake Oil perfume oil is just heavenly

I'm with Leopard403 on this one. It smells like hay. Nothing more, nothing less.....just hay

Well, I smell fabulous if I might say so myself I've never smelled aged Snake Oil (I'm still aging my bottle) but whatever this is, it smells amazing. I use it as an after-shower moisturizer and I'm followed by this awesome scent all day long.

This is a very pretty and smooth tangerine. I was actually expecting more of a citrus blast so I'm really surprised by this one but in a good way. It reminds me of something but I can't quite put my finger on it.....anyway, this will be an excellent scent for when it's warmer outside

This smells incredible. Just gorgeous. It's slightly powdery when first applied but it turns into a gorgeous tiare, vanilla and amber scent....

Skin musk, white amber, ambergris, orange blossom, ylang ylang, and coconut milk. This is just lovely. A tropical and floral coconut milk and it does have a little suntan lotion vibe going on. While it's really lovely, I'm not quite sure if I'd wear it much. I'm really happy with my partial bottle but probably won't be needing more. -
Out of all the notes in the scent, rose is the one that seems to be amping. And not in a good way. Rose has a tendency to smell a bit like citrus on me and so does this one.

A lot of wood at first, it actually screams WOOD!! but with a bit of leather. It quickly transforms into the blonde tobacco and it smells incredible. I do worry that when I slather it I'll smell like I've been chain-smoking but it has a definite sexy quality. So I'll just be very careful with applying it, just a tiny amount will do it.

'O' usually turns into liquorice on me but even though my Womb Furie is mostly 'O', the Snake Oil adds depth and keeps the 'O' in check. This is really lovely

I'm not quite sure what to do with this one... wet: honey + mandarin = syrup dry: ooohhh this has potential very dry: caramel? mocha?

Well, I thought I was going to love this one, but sadly, this one just doesn't work for me. I starts of really perfumey and I'm not really fond of that. The perfumey edge does fade quickly and I initially thought everything was going to fade but I was left with a spicy tea with something soapy behind it. Very odd. It's not *bad*, but it's not *me*.

2010 version This is just beautiful. It's an innocent and light honey with musk and a hint of amber. I'm really loving it.

I have a strong suspicion something is not right with the recent bottles of Black Lace and Black Death from DarkDel. I have several bottles of Black Lace and the last one I received smells completely different. There are slight batch differences between my bottles but this cannot be a batch difference, I smell apples and that's just something that shouldn't be present in Black Lace at all. At first I just thought is was my bottle, but I noticed a BL review that describes apples as well. And there's a Black Death review with apples as well. Where are those apples coming from? Is it possible that someone accidentally mixed some apple scented oil in there? Are there more people with an apple problem?

Pure marshmallowy goodness

'07 version The caramel is very heavy at first and the spices are there as well. When it dries the caramel steps back the the tobacco comes out and I think I detect the currant as well. This is really nice!

wet: whoa....marshmallows! dry: sweet cotton with a slight perfumy edge. very dry: there's the marshmallow again. It's very, very soft and think I detect some honey as well. I'll definitely enjoy my decant, but I don't really mind not owning a bottle.
