No nuances here...this smells like rotten banana and damp dirt...I wouldn't wear it, but it definitely lives up to the description from the lab!
-
Odd that there aren't many reviews on this... The plum, fig, and black coconut are predominant, which is good bc I don't love lavendar or vetiver... Dark and warm, like a rich honey... exotic and sexy. I really love it!

I don't know if its my olfactory senses or my skin chemistry, but I have yet to find an aquatic that works on me. I truly wanted this to be the anomaly; I wanted to experience the mermaid euphoria... Alas, all I got was soapy man cologne.

I really detest mint. Truly. I was loathe to try this bc of the four mints present... Thank goodness I took the plunge! This is the zesty version of Dorian! Sugar, cream, and powdered mint confection sugar... Perfect for the summer! Mint haters, give this a shot; I think you'll be pleasently surprised

While this is definitely lemon, I'm lucky enough to have the coconut, vanilla, and black musk come out and take away that citrus bang of lemon; nice and summery soft.
-
um; bright and dishwashing liquid like...
-
I dont know what yuzu, kaki, and mikan, but I don't like this; it's fruity and bright and loud
-
the cranberry and ginger is lovely; I'd like to pair this with a creamy note...
-
Kind of spicy and rummy; very piratey!
-
I love this! It totally belongs with the Atomic Lounge collection; the gin is sweet and bitter and citrusy all at the same time; I'm heading to the bar right now to celebrate this drink with a gin and tonic
-
um; lemons and roses; dishwashing soap with old lady panty sachet... but, in an oddly smooth and beautifully blended manner
-
OK, I'm in love; this smells exactly like Abuelita's hot cocoa, the mexican cocoa in the yellow box?! Do you know?
-
I love everything in this except for the sandalwoods; and, unfortunately that is a note that really amps on me; I'll let it lay down and see what happens...
-
wet: so-so; kind of clean; lightly floral; perhaps the amber and orris peeking through mostly...subtle
-
This is gorgeous! I love cocoa, hands down; it's so much drier and deeper than the chocolate notes. Rice milk is dreamy; I personally like all of my scents to have a touch of cream or milk of some sort; I'll often layer a cream note under my BPALs that lack that note. And teak! Well, this is something that adores me; my fave oils have teak, and this oil fits the bill perfectly.

Wow, I also suffer from fibromyalgia and I never thought of asking the forum which oils might produce good effects; great question!

Many people have mentioned Torture King, but Torture Queen from the Carnival Diabolique is excellent as well; I think it smells EXACTLY like CK51!
-
I swapped for two imps of this and I'm disappointed; I'll try to age them, but right now they are just way too much cinnamon on me; I smell like a walking cinnamon potpourri bag...not lovely

At first this is way too flowery; the carnation and iris rules overall, with a touch of sugared cream and no orange blossom. Really not liking this. Reminds me of stinky fake white pearl beads that are found in toiler paper rolls/dispensers. But then, after the drydown (about twenty minutes) the sugared cream and orange blossom takes over; this is sweet and soft and lovely! ADDED Aug. 4: This is so intriguing. I think the dominant floral is white carnation, which I dont normally love, but its really gorgeous here. The orange blossom and sugared cream is heavy, and that's fabulous. I actually detect something like pink pepper! I don't know if this is bottle worthy, but I might try to get a second decant

I'm so glad I have a whole bottle of this! I have the Beaverversary and I adore this! It's not as cupcakey as my aged Beaver Moon 05, but I'll let it lie low for a few months and try again

I love the notes in this: buttermilk pancakes with boysenberry syrup and goat butter! Sounds fab, right? Well, let's see... Wet: sweet syrup; can't really detect butter or buttermilk, or boysenberry, but I get a faint whiff of syrup... Dry: where is the pancake smell? It smells like plastic syrup...not good

I am intrigued by clotted vanilla cream, pink pepper, grapefruit, and lemon-squeezed candyfloss...but I'm not thinking I'm going to love the blood lily, red ginger, or English pear...let's put it to the test... Wet: Yum! smells like sweet ice cream, the plain kind, with juicy grapefruit (or maybe I'm getting citrus from the lemon-squeezed candy floss)...very sweet and creamy and sugary all at the same time...not detecting the florals or the pear... Dry: wow, it's like a yummy cookie! I adore this; it's kind of reminscent of Mr.Nancy....yummers! ADDED Oct. 6: A foody gourmand; yellow lemon pound cake with spice, maybe...quite yummy! -
At first this smells heavenly; it's a chocolate buttercream bakery cake! I want to nibble my arm...however, the drydown is very plastic; it reminds me of Bliss plastic...
-
This smells exactly like cherry coridals; it's OK; I think people who like cherries will swoon

Wet: not chocolatey, but very sugary and lots of violets; kind of reminds me of Faith from CD Dry: just a hint of chocolate; that is the only difference between this and Faith...it's a nice smell if you like sweet sugared violets
