Oh wow. I understand the Antique Lace obsession people seem to have--this is lovely. This was my first "creamy" scent, and I wasn't sure how creamy would smell.. I don't think it smells so much like cream as it has a creamy quality, if that makes sense. Soft and creamy and lush and vanilla-y and elegant. Just beautiful, an immediate favorite!

Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info
katalia replied to kebechet's topic in BPAL FAQs
I've only e-mailed the Lab about an issue once, but the responded promptly and were VERY helpful. Try resending your email (and making sure the address is right), the Lab has wonderfully amazingly awesome customer service. -
It does smell like corn in the bottle. But on me, it's maple syrup. Maple syrup and brown sugar. That's almost entirely what I get from this. I smell like a pile of really syrupy pancakes or waffles. I'll try it again just to be sure, but I don't think this one's going to be staying with me long. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this. It's just too painfully sticky sickly sweet for me.

Thanks . I'll use PayPal, then. (I may be posting again in a week or so asking if I've drawn up my order right before I submit it, though .)

Does the lab have a preference? I've only ordered via snail-mail before, and I'm anxiously anticipating making my next order online. I have PayPal, which is attached to my bank account. I also have a "credit card" (it's actually a debit card, attached to the same bank account as PayPal, but it's through MasterCard so it can be used as a credit card), so I can use CCNow also.. I'd prefer using CCNow because it looks easier, but if the lab prefers PayPal'd orders, I can do that instead. (My apologies if this has been asked before, I tried searching, but I had no clue what exactly to search for, so my results weren't any help.)

This is all sweet and warm and a bit heavy. It smells like walking through the rainforest.. it's hot and humid and fragrant.. but this is even better than that. It smells very heavy to me in the bottle, but it's not so much on my skin, which is a good thing. Just awesome, I have a 10 mL of this. Also, I have no idea what sex smells like, but this smells like I think sex would.

On my skin, this was a funny sweet and crisp scent. It would have been lovely, except there was a bad note in there.. It smelled like bad milk or rotting vegetables or something. I think maybe it was the ginger.. If it weren't for that note, I'd love it.

I smell floral in this, but I can't pick out any notes. The smell reminds me of playing in the pool in the summer when I was young. It's a really pretty floral, but I'm not a big fan of florals.

In the imp, this is sharp and spicy and herbal. On my skin, it started off very spicy (clove and cinnamon, I think) on top, with an orangey-citrusy middle, and a sweet bottom. When it dried, it went mostly spicy and sweet with still a touch of citrus. It is nice, but it makes me think of potpourri, not perfume. I'll try it as a room scent, though.

Mmmm. This smells like spring. It reminds me of walking home from school in early spring, when there's still snow on the ground in shady places, but the grass is green and soft and there's a gentle breeze and it's nice and sunny. Lovely, I need a big bottle of this.

On my skin, this is a sweet and ladylike (go figure) scent. It smells like berries. I have no idea what wine smells like, but it also smells like how I guess wine does. It's really a lovely scent, but it's not very strong on me.

This was very strong in the imp. A kind of scary strong. On my skin, it's all sweet and nutty with a bit of creaminess. Unfortunately, I think I smell more like a candle than anything else. It's a little too intense for me to wear as a perfume (often). It would probably be great as a room scent, though.

A lot of honey and vanilla in this one. It smells somewhat like O to me, but lighter and with a bit of fruitiness. I like it, but it's so similar to other scents that I can't seem myself going nuts for it. Also, the bright red color made me feel like I was putting cherry Kool-Aid on my skin, which is a rather icky thought.

The Sleeping Beauty. A gentle, lovely scent, slightly soporific, but beautiful in its quiet repose. Plumeria and white pear, Damascus rose, tuberose, magnolia and evening dew. I can't pick out any notes in this. To me, it just smells soft and elegant and really really good. It smells like a bubble, sort of.. soft and round, no hard edges. I don't understand it.. but I like it a lot.

This is all strawberry to me. It makes me think of those car air fresheners.. only way, way better. I was worried about the champagne notes because I don't want to smell like alcohol, but I didn't get that at all. Just.. yum.
