In The Bottle
Cool flowers and ivy
On Application
Green coolness
Dry Down
Soft floral and lots of sappy greenery. I have an angel's trumpet growing by my door and I adore the smell of it at night. This is the first scent that I have tried where I can actually smell the angel's trumpet. Gorgeous! I am so glad I got 2 bottles of this. Stunning night scent which is definitely late summer/early autumn.

In The Bottle
Beeswax. I have loved all of the scents with beeswax so far.
On Application
Herbally pungent
Dry Down
Surprisingly green on initial application. Takes a while for any floral notes to come out at about the same time as the wool. Kind of odd but stunnigly beautiful at the same time. Definitely best after 20 minutes or so. Like it.

Buttery orange
On Application
The zesty orange amps up to cut through the dreaded buttery note.
Dry Down
I am soooo glad I got a couple of bottles of this. Becomes cakey pretty soon into the drydown and the orange is more orange peel than the flesh or juice, very zesty and slightly bitter. The anise atrts to emerge a bit later. Surprisingly complex.

In The Bottle
Dirt and moss with the faintest trace of rose
On Application
Rose and dry dusty earth.
Dry Down
I love the earth/dirt note but was put off trying this because of the rose. The lab wisely sent a frimp. The rose is not overpowering and the dirt and moss is awesome. The rose has a kind of decayed quality as it dires down further. I am going to have to do a full wear test before I commit to a bottle.

It's leather amd musk alright. Yum! The leather is more saddle leather than fine jacket leather.
On Application
The leather is actually quite sweet, courtesy of the musk, I guess.
Dry Down
Oh my I love this. I am going to stock up on this. Reminds me of the deep, old leather in Western Diamondback without the vanilla. Brilliant.

Bay rum and a herbal quality
On Application
Spicey bay rum. No vanilla
Dry Down
Wow. Spicey and smokey. I actually get quite a bit of tobacco about 10 minutes into the drydown. I wasn't sure about this at first but the final result is awesome.

Brown sugar and strawberry
On Application
As above
Dry Down
Originally this is a slightly caramelised sugar with a bit of strawberry in the background but as it dries the sugar lightens up to leave a sweet light berry scent. I like it.

In The Bottle
Slightly aquatic with over-ripe fruit and spices
On Application
Dirty socks and rotten fruit but sweet.
Dry Down
The "off" scent dissapears to leave a fresh, sweetish and fruity aquatic. A little bit of saltiness in the background. Reminds me of a sweeter Manila. I like it but not something I will wear.

In The Bottle
Very herbal
On Application
As above
Dry Down
Resinous herby scent that warms up and rounds out a little as it dries down. I quite like it but don't think it is particularly wearable just as a scent. Could be nice doing some herbal work.

In The Bottle
Sweet peppermint with a touch of vanilla
On Application
Gorgeous mint
Dry Down
The Snake Oil starts to emerge about 5 minutes into the drydown to round out the mint but the mint stays strong. The tea does poke through a little to give a slight muskiness. I love this. The Snake Oil doesn't take over but seem to give the mint longevity.

In The Bottle
Sour, vinegary molasses
On Application
The vinegar note evaporates quickly to leave a spicey honey/molasses scent - rich and not too sweet.
Dry Down
Dries down to a slightly spicey brown sugar scent. Nice.

Shangai - not fruity but slightly citrussy. Mainly tea and honeysuckle. Love it for summer
I appears that I've somehow lost my mind (due to summer heat) and am CRAVING light juicy fresh melony fruity citrusy scents out of the blue all of a sudden. This is NOT normal for me. I dont even like those kinds of scents.. or do I?Last week I couldnt even look at my many bottles of musky/incensy/floraly scents and ended up grabbing the imp of Dorian out of my swap pile and ended up wearing it for days. There's still atleast another month of summer to go and I cant keep wearing Dorian everyday (well I could I guess, but...)
Please everyone, please throw my way all kinds of fresh scent ideas at me. I NEED them!
-
I have just tried Destroying Angel and it is the oddest thing. A "thin" soil scent. Initial sniff from the imp is definitely fungal. I like it but where would you wear it?A funeral. LARPing a sluagh.
Ah, of course. Hopefully, I don't have to attend one of those any time soon

In The Bottle
Faint petitgrain and that's it
On Application
Dry and dusty faint rose. Nice
Dry Down
This is a nice soft, earthy rose thanks to the patchouli. The rose doesn't amp up for me. I really like it. Will have to do a full wear test before deciding on a bottle.

In The Bottle
I have to say, this was neon green in my box and stood out from the others! In the imp - dusty herbal green and floral
On Application
Strongly eucalyptus
Dry Down
Vicks vaporub but then becomes a little more piney as it warms on the skin. Not sure how I feel about this one. I can't get around the eucalyptus scent which I like but not as a perfume.

In The Bottle
Tea and a little bit of leather
On Application
Citrus and tea. Fresh but musky
Dry Down
Becomes more lemon than grapefruit as it warms. This starts off as a really fresh citrus tea and then becomes warmer and slightly smokier as it goes on. Sophisticated and I like it but will keep it to an imp.

In The Bottle
Dark, earthy
On Application
Strong patchouli and opopanax. A little of the peppery/spicy Pimenta racemosa
Dry Down
What was initially quite dark and tar-like eventually sweetens up to a glorious smooth patchouli scent. I can see what the fuss is about. Should age beautifully.

Primarilyfresh and juicy pear!
On Application
Pear, orchid and jonquil. The orchid is behaving so far. This is one of the darkest florals so far. There is almost a tar note.
Dry Down
The orchid and jonquil try and fight for dominance as the pear remains a constant bystander at the beginnig of the drydown. Gradually the oakmoss, some of the spiciness of the clove and the cool, powdery blue musk emerge to blend with the whole. My initial alarm at the florals was premature. This is gorgeous and i am so glad a snaffled a couple of bottles.

In The Bottle
Sweet, green, vibrant grass.
On Application
Briefly the green grass and then it is quickly joined by the leaves to make it definitely autumnal.
Dry Down
This is so evocative of the concept it's awesome. I love this and it would be great layered with Graveyard Dirt.
