In the bottle: straight up apple. It's amazing! Not the sweetness of the apple, but the essence of the apple. It's a solid smell, like an apple orchard in full bloom. The apple note is so strong I can't smell much else. Wet, on skin: Yep, more apple. It turns a little tart on my skin. This would make an awesome apple candle scent. It smells like late summer, but not yet autumn. Thick, sturdy apple scent. 1.5 Hours on skin: Gentle apple scent. My partner says it smells really clean. I got a sense of returning to school in the fall, but to a small, one-room classroom on the frontier. Conclusion: Jury is still out!

Empyreal Mist In the bottle: lovely warm grassy scent. Smells like a grassy perfume, not pure grass. Sweet and warm. Wet, on skin: Very light. I'm getting much more of a Houston spring sense than anything in twilight. I'm getting mid-day sun in New York spring. It reminds me a lot of a Gap fragrance my friend used to wear. I can't really identify any notes in this. The grass subsides a bit on my skin. A sweet young maiden in a countryside somewhere. Clean and crisp. 1.5 Hours on skin: Very faint now. I have to inhale really deeply to smell anything. It's a sweet perfume (not like candy-sweet, but baby/puppy/innocent-sweet). It's very light, and inoffensive. I don't usually like sweet, innocent scents like this, but this one is good. It's true to its name -- wispy mist. Drydown: Gone! Conclusion: Not bad for a light fragrance, perhaps for the summer when it's hot outside and you don't want something too overbearing.

Aureus In the bottle: Smells kind of like an old lady's house. The color is a beautiful, rich amber. Wet, on skin: I smell the resin of an old piano; a little sharp; a little sweet; almost like a bandage in some places; sharp like Absorbine, Jr. in some whiffs 1.5 Hours on skin: Still strong; an old wood smell wafts after me; the resin is strong Drydown: Turned a little sweet after time, but the resin is still strong. It now smells like I put my nose to an old church pew and breathed in deeply. Subtle. Conclusion: I sometimes think it smells like an old lady, but the jury is still out. Also, this smells AWESOME on my partner (male).
