A summer bonfire, with frankincense and myrrh, bay rum, and white rose. This is very very smoky, very incensey. The rose and rum are non existent on me, and I'm fine with that. I smell like a church bonfire! Drying down its more Easter Vigil Mass, but I still love it!

Try Embalming Fluid as well, the description is weird but the scent on me goes all Mr. Clean. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are odd as well. Miskatonic University and Black Annis are just plain yucky on me but some people actually like them. Czernoborg too super dark and a bit dirty. Search for anything civet perhaps?

I just got this in the mail today! This smells like a field of wildflowers, lovely. On my skin it amps the rose and chammomile and wet it smells similar to rose moon '07 but as it dries the rose calms down and the musk is dominant. When I smell close to my wrist the Lily is more apparent. This is a soothing warm heat of summer floral. Yup, this one is a winner!

Preface: I LOVE floral, I don't mind smelling like an old lady sometimes. HOWEVER, wet: sweet cutesy floral, like pink floral wallpaper with candy sitting in a dish nearby dry: Versailles is a good name, its old golden gilded floral. No more candy, no wallpaper just lots of pretension. I want my candy back. Conclusion: Not eww get it off me NOW, I suppose if I was on a deserted island and this was the only bpal that survived I'd wear it. Maybe I'd wear it to visit my grandma.

Crowley for me is Snake Oil (unaged) without the vanilla or a slightly sweeter version of Midnight Kiss in a GC scent! I guess I can see how people think of it as a man's scent, but I'm a married woman and my hubby loves it on me. Its sexy, seductive, and for me it creates a whirlpool to fall into- my nose can't get bored with it! The patchouli is a middle note, musk is front and first, I have no idea where the lilac cologne or lemon rind is, and the vanilla is all husk and no ice cream so to speak. Masterful, purely masterful.

This one isn't so much fresh cut roses as it's roses on the bush in the early morning. If I were to put a color on these flowers it'd be lavender or white, NOT pink or red. Wet, dry, and after a bit is all the same- a slightly aquatic, definitely moonflower, light rose. I much prefer the fresh cut roses scent compared to this one. I'm a rose purist I guess!

The scents that get you the most compliments?

My Mom first noticed me wearing something when I wore my Rose Moon '07, she asked me if my hubby had given me flowers recently! Da hubby always compliments me when I wear Midnight Kiss, most of the rest of the time he's just like "oh you're wearing one of your smellies again" -
I get vanilla in this only dry as an end note (if there is such a thing). What I love about this is that it isn't typical hippy patchouli, it has a darker spice to it which is entrancing to me, also I detect a bit of tobacco. I also layer it with a lot of other scents (Lysander today) and it gives me a new experience each time!
