    Morocco

This is as intoxicating as I would imagine the country and it's culture to be. It's very incensy but not an earthy incense. It comes across a little sweet, must be the carnations. The musk does not over power it all. I'm actually loving it and it's very similar to my beloved Snake Oil but not as sweet. It's different than anything I have, and I will probably track down a big bottle of this.

    Loi Krathong

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this one is. On me it's the perfect combination of floral, sweet and earthy. Yet the three never overpower one or another, but just blend together in perfect union. The lilies are amazing and blended with the other notes, this is just such a magical fragrance.

I really thought I would love this based on the description and notes - I love patchouli, cocoa and vanilla and thought they would be amazing together. This was nothing like I expected. At first the patchouli was very strong, and there were other green/earthy notes coming out. Then the cocoa bubbled to the service, but just for a bit. Overall, I just wound up smelling like a dirty hippy covered in dirt. LOTS of dirt!!

    Baneberry

A poisonous fruit-bearing member of the buttercup family. The scent, like the plant, is dark green, herbal, and plump with bulging black fruit. Out of the vial and wet on the skin this remeinds me of a berry scented laundry detergent. It was very clean smelling, with the underlying notes of berry. On the drydown it became a very incensey note, where you sense the berry still, but the green comes in making it more earthy smelling. Final drydown and thoughts is that it like a big, squishy berry covered in dirt and attached to a green, woodsy vine.
  5. I got a rum like smell from this when it was wet on my skin, which dried to a slight maple syrup kind of note. On final dry down I can definitely sense more of the vanilla and tobacco combo. It never really got woody for me, so I didnt sense the oak note at all. Most fragrances turn sweet on me, so I can see where the syrupy notes came out. Interesting fragrance but not something I would wear.

    Les Fleurs du Mal

Mal is bad right? Cause this was true to it's name right away...BAD! The final dry down was way nicer though, but all I can really smell is the rose. I'm not a huge rose fan, and most scents with rose really turn me off. I'm not a huge fan of this one, but it's not as overwhelming as some other rose scents. This will definitely go up for swaps.

    Coyote

At first whiff of this, I was like WHOAH! It's definitely a very masculine scent. The final drydown is actually very nice, you can really smell the musk and amber in this. It's not something I would wear very often but I can see this being a great scent to recommend for men.

    Antony

Holy crap, this is definitely a masculine scent. At first it reminded a lot of Dorian, but it doesn't quite have that "tea" not of Dorian. On the drydown I do get more of the leathery notes. The description is very enticing. I'd love to give this one to the DH to try. Wonder how it smells on him.

    Les Bijoux

At first this was all chemically, soap smell that I sometimes find with some BPAL. The drydown became quite a nice blend of the mryhh and blossoms. Very fruity and floral. It's definitely a feminine scent. I would love smelling it on someone else, not sure it it's something I'd wear a lot though.

    Boo

2011: Wet, and right on this skin this reminds me of sticky sweet marshmallow fluff. It's all cream, sugary sweet! On the dry down the notes remind more of vanilla scented pipe tobacco (which is why I think I didn't like it last year and sold my 2010 bottle) but upon further dry down this reminds me of LaVanilla's Pure Vanilla fragrance which I love. Warm and sweet. Think I'll keep my 2011 bottle.

    The Green Apple Of Venus

At first this is apple freshly sliced apple crispness, then I start to get what I can say only reminds me of LUSH’s Avobath. But the dry down becomes this most amazing scent where you beging to a little sweetness from the strawberry and pomengranate mixing with the crispy apple. Then further it starts to bring out the earthiness of the sandalwood and rose, yet never loses the apple scent. It’s not overpowered by apple, eveything just blends together so effortlessly. Notes come and recede, then rise again. It’s like the most amazing perfume sypmhony! I’m absolutely so happy that I bought this one!

    Asp Viper (2006)

Or A$$ Wiper as it's come to be known my house because I misred the label on the decant. LOL At first this was all almond and creamy, then it started drying down and began to smell like dirty armpits and stinky feet mixed with almond and vanilla. The finish is pure Snake Oil, which is heavenly. Overall it's very nice, I love these Snake Oil adaptions/blends but this one needs a while to get over the stinky feet hump before calms down to something actually very nice.

    Womb Furie

Funny that both scents I wanted to try tonight were honey ones. I'm loving the delicious honey cloud that is enveloping me right now. At first this was a bit strong and I wasn't sure what I was smelling, but on the drydown you can defintely smell Snake Oil which is one of my favorite BPAL scents. I love how the honey both softens and warms this up at the same time, it really adds to the complex notes of Snake Oil very well.

    Kill-Devil

Sugar cane, molasses, oak wood, and honey. This is defintely sweet, it kind of has a sugary molasses scent, but made more delicious by the honey. My husband makes this incredible thing called Sugar Pie which is brown sugar and corn syrup, cinnamon and this kind of reminds me of that pie.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

Vanilla and Sandalwood are two of my favorite notes, I love them in everything, and I especially love them together! This starts off very vanilla, but the dry down brings out the amber and sandalwood notes, so it gets a little heavier, a little darker. But then the sweet pea kind of softens the edges a bit. Over all I absolutely ADORE this scent and need to get a bigger bottle. I would wear this all the time! Defintely going to be one of my new favorite scents, and it's not as foody as all the others I tend to wear the most, so it will be nice to have something different in the rotation.

    Ghoulish

I started off loving this, kind of a creamy almond scent. The drydown started to smell more like maple syrup or something similar to me. It kind of remind me of Grog(?). I really didnt' get any of the cherry notes at all. Overall it's probably not something I would wear a whole lot of.

    Candy Phoenix

This smells so much like Lush's Rockstar. It's sweet and creamy all in one, but not super foody either. I love this, and now want to run out and buy a huge block of Rockstar to go with this.

    Velvet Unicorn

I started out LOVING this, it was sugary delights whipped into a fluffy, airy treat. Very similar to a cotton candy scent, with sprinkles on top. After a few hours though, this transitioned into a very musky, warm scent that reminded me of the Vanilla scented pipe tobacco that my stepfather used to smoke. For some reason, some of these sweeter notes seem to fade into this vanilla tobacco scent on me, of which I'm not a fan

    Love's Philosophy

It took me awhile to figure out what I was smelling in this, then the Vanilla became really strong. On the drydown the Saffron (a more herby like note, almost moss like) starts to come out. It's very interesting.

    Cake Smash

Oh my god this is good! Why didn't I try this earllier. At first you get the cake notes, and it's delicious little cakes smothered in frosting. Then on the dry down the incensey notes from Snake Oil comes out. The finish was almost pure Snake Oil to me which I LOVE LOVE LOVE, so this was a nice one to wear.

    Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple

Wet and right on the skin this was pure apples! I was a little disappointed because I really wanted the candy corn/sugar notes to come out, but all I got was pure granny smith apples. I like apples you see, but not sure I wanted to smell like them all day long. After it dried down about an hour later, the warm buttery and sugary notes started to come out more, and the apple moved into the back a little, so overall it was a sugary apple scent that turned out to be quite lovely. This why you always have to wait for these scents to dry down before coming to a conclusion about how you feel, they always change a little. Overall I am really happy with this one, even though it's not quite what I was expecting. I got this with Marshmallow Pumpkin as well and think I want to layer the two together for a scent that will really mean the smell of fall to me! I'm going to try them again each on thier own, but one day I'm going to blend them together. One day soon!!

    Marshmallow Pumpkin

Wet and right on the skin this is defintely a great combination of marshmallow fluff and pumpkin pulp. You get the spiciness of the pumpkin right away. On the dry down this softened to a creamy spicy note, like the spices you would use in a pumpkin pie. It ended a little more cinnamon and clove like to my nose, with the softness of the marshmallow/creamy notes. I got this with Candy Corn Coated Apple as well and think I want to layer the two together for a scent that will really mean the smell of fall to me!
  23. ah, that is what I thought. Since I had to do two separate transactions, I paid two different ways and was hoping that it wasn't held up because of a payment issue, but I never received an email stating there was a payment issue so I wasn't sure. Thank you so much. I'll give it another week and then email them if I dont hear anything. Thanks again.
  24. Hopefully this is the right place to ask this. On 9/16 I placed an order with the lab and an order with the Trading Post. For some reason I couldn't combine it into one cart so I paid to separate orders. I got receipt notifications for both. I have already received the Lab order, but have heard nothing about the other. Does the orders from the Trading Post usually take longer? I'm just hoping it didn't get lost due to me having two separate orders on the same day.

    Boo

This reminded me of a rich buttercream frosting. I also get the marshmallow and marshmallow fluff in this. It's sweet and creamy all at once. Pure heaven, I want to bathe in it, eat it, slather myself head to toe in it. I want a soap, a lotion, a lip balm, everything in this scent! HELLLOOOOOO LOVER!!!
