    The Phantom Wooer

Imp: light pretty floral Wet on Me: Still light pretty floral, Possibly the moonflower and honey myrtle Drying Down: floral soap? Not getting the mosses or dust. Just floral soap Dry: like clean laundry on the line on a spring day. A clean floral. Not too heavy and quite pretty.

    E Pluribus Unum

Decant: green floral to me Wet on Me: lovely green floral nothing jumping out at me just yet Drying Down: The floral in this morphs. So far it’s NOT morphed into rose or lilac or lily which does not play nicely with me at all. I’m still having a hard time putting my nose on the notes. But I’m liking it. Dry: Sweet but not over bearing, a lovely gentle blend that hints and unity and strength underneath. So glad I got to try this one as well.

    Tabella

Decant: powder and floral? Wet on Me: I get the galangal and tobacco flower and ginger now Drying Down: still getting a powdery effect and some wood. I’m thinking the galangal for the wood and the fig for the powder. Dry: Less powdery sweetness from the fig, still that woodiness from the galangal. I like this and am glad I got to try it.

    Bony Moon

Bottle: cedar and sandalwood Wet on Me: More cedar than sandalwood now. Since I’m a woody girl I like this so far. Drying Down: lovely cedar that has been softened and sweetened by the sandalwood. Dry: still a lovely cedar that is softened and sweetened by the white sandalwood. I’m really glad I got a bottle of this.

    Monster Bait: Ventriloquist Dummy

Decant: wood, patchouli and butterscotch Wet on Me: oh there is vetiver in there. And now the butterscotch and brown sugar Drying Down: gone straight to vetiver with whisps of sugar Dry: ugh. The dreaded vetiver hate for Coldie strikes again! The vetiver it does not likes me. This is on the trade pile.

    The Oblation

Decant: lavender and blackberry Wet on Me: Lavender, blackberry and the dianthus Drying Down: more blackberry and lavender now…and stunning! Dry: This is just blackberry lavender and that is perfect for me. Now another scent I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with and now must track down more! FTW!

    Toad

Decant: Definitely a dapper cologne Wet on Me: Still a very dapper Cologne. Back of hand is glued to nose already. Drying Down: getting a lil bit of the pipe tobacco with that dapper cologne. Loving this soo much. I’m a sucker for a good men’s cologne. Dry: chalk this up to another one I wish I had orderd! I am so in love with Toad. Does that sound right? It is the lurve smell deeevine! I want to run home and pour it on mah man and just attach myself to him.

    Chrysanthemum Moon

Decant: oh holy cowabunga! Mums and something Wet on Me: Mums and opium, and resin/incense I think. This is a floral that is LOVING ME! Drying Down: This is a drug and I’m fast becoming addicted. Good mum, opium, this wafts up my nose and swirls around my head and heart. Dry: this dried into something so utterly indescribable as I simply do not have a vocabulary strong or eloquent enough to describe this liquid love on my skin. This might end up my holy grail!

    Banded Sea Snake (2006)

Decant: astringent-y, Wet on Me: sweet now Drying Down: am getting what I think is Snake Oil since I’ve not tried it. Not getting any of the oakmoss or sea moss or olive leaf. Dry: Okay now I get the barest ghost of the oakmoss over the Snake Oil. This makes me want to try Snake Oil now.

    Asp Viper (2006)

Decant: woah. That sweet almond scent. Wet on Me: more overly sweet almond. Can’t get anything else from it. Drying Down: the myrrh is trying so hard to tame the almond on me, but they are clashing and making something bitter on my wrist. Dry: kind of a sweet spicy incensy scent now. Did not have very good beginnings, but ended uppretty good. Glad I got to try the decant.

    Three Gorgons

Imp: mandarin, tangerine and the pepper Wet on Me: Mandarin, Tangerine and the pepper Drying Down: no more citrus, slight pepper but the sweetness of the amber is around. So far no sign of vetiver! YAY! Dry: soap. This went to soap. I guess it could have been worse. I could have amped the vetiver.

    The Great He-Goat

Decant: carnation and patchouli Wet on Me: patchouli and carnation and some ginger Drying Down: the dreaded death note of vetiver is trying to turn this ugly on me. The patchouli is putting up a good fight. Dry: there is still a war between the patchouli and the vetiver. All the rest of the notes ran and hid. I think the Patchouli won.

    Mabon 2004

Decant: oh yumm! Blackberry wine! Wet on Me: blackberry wine and myrrh. I’m in love Drying Down: the lovely magickal blackberry wine with the myrrh and the cider all dancing together with the apple blossom weaving ribbons of notes in and out of the circle. Dry: Heady but not overpowering. The absolute love. This is in my top ten for sure and I’m gonna have to track down more of this. This is blackberry wine incense with the first rays of Autumn tiptoeing in. A magickal scent for me.

    Love's Philosophy

Vanilla, saffron, and cream. Decant: vanilla cream with a tart note Wet on me: more sweet vanilla cream with a tart note. Must be the saffron Drying Down: the tart is gone…just smooth vanilla cream Dry: sweet vanilla cream. Altho not a foodie scent fan this does not tip over into that realm for me. This is nice. Glad I received a decant of this.

    Mictecacihuatl

Decant: ROSE! Wet on Me: woah! Rose and tobacco Drying Down: went straight to rose on me. And bad rose. Dry: no love for Coldie as this went straight to rose. It passed go, did not collect any other notes for me and sat at rose from start to finish. I just can’t do rose scents , my body won’t let me.

    Chant D'Automne

Decant: sharp, almost bitter sharp with the burned wood, smokey Wet On Me: a slight bit of sweetness from the amber but mostly the sharp burnt wood and bits of the tabacum and smokey Drying Down: Oh wow is this nice! The musk and charred woods, the dried leaves, the tabacum….oh man this is dying down awesome! Dry: ooooo another one that I did not amp the amber to baby powder. I am sooo kicking myself for NOT getting a bottle of this. I love this to pieces. This is autumn. A smokey bonfire of leaves in autumn.

    Penumbra

Decant: Musk and Sandalwood and Copal, dark and warm Wet on Me: rich, sweet musky incense Drying Down: still a rich sweet musky incense so far. I think the sweetness comes from the Neroli and Lavender Dry: getting a fruity vibe with the sweetness of the neroli and lavender and that is over the musky incense. I seem to have been saved by my not amping amber and sending this to baby powder land. HUZZAH! This is pretty!

    Wings of Azrael

Imp: sharp but not harsh. The green of the woods and perhaps the violet Wet on Me: violet with touches of the lily of the valley. Not as sharp now. Drying Down: more gentle now. The violet over the lily of the valley and the barest whispter of the cypress under it all. Dry: Touches of baby powder over cypress and violet. Very gentle…soft and not overwhelming.

    Tushnamatay

Imp: something foodie sweet but tempered by something citrus and green Wet on Me: chocolate , sandalwood and something green now faintly in the background Drying Down: Now the food scent is fading into incense. I still swear it’s a lovely sandalwood. Not so much the green vibe now. Dry: This is the perfect meditation blend. I could meditate to an incense of this burning for hours. Very nice. Very soothing.

    Ozymandias

Imp: oh what is this? It smells warm and dry and sunny Wet on Me: still warm and dry and sunny…sharp but not razor sharp. Drying Down: has the smell of ancient about it. Almost a sour resiny undertone that peeks in. Dry: This is a warm dry ancient blend. I wear it and feel like a sunny corner of a Library attic.

    Cthulhu

Imp: very aquatic Wet on Me: aquatic green. Oooo this is a summer scent right now Drying Down: starting to get a bit soapy now. Very clean soapy aquatic Dry: clean soap. Ivory soap on me. Maybe it’s this cold that is amping things wrong. But I don’t mind the scent. I am glad I got to try it!

    Veil

Imp: tart floral with barest traces of the sandalwood Wet on me: Tart almost sour floral and green on me. Drying Down: okay the tart is receding but the heavy lilac is moving hard and fast. Dry: okay another not for me scent. Heavy air freshener lilac is how this ended up reacting on my skin. There were other notes I adored on the list but they never came out to play with me.

    Ephemera

Imp: hmmm muguet and tea rose and geranium. Wet on Me: WOAH sour geranium and rose. Very old lady-ish Drying Down: very musty geranium and rose. But I am amping rose in a bad way Dry: sorry…no love for me on this. Turned to air- freshener rose on me. I wish…but no joy in mudville.

    Darkness

Imp: oooooo such a deep dark narcissus. Wet on me: okay the Myrrh catches up to the Narcissus now. Drying Down: some powder notes are trying to come through now. Is it the opium or Narcissus? Dry: this is baby powder over resin. I had high hopes but it’s mostly baby poweder. Oh well glad I got to try it!
