    Queen Mab

Imp: jasmine and sandalwood Wet on Me: more sandalwood than Jasmine. Slight hints of the rose. Drying Down: buhbye sandalwood, buhbye jasmine. The rose woke up and tromped all over this. My body turns it to air freshener rose on me. Dry: baby powder and rose now. At least the rose is not so sharp. I’ve tried it, but this is not for me.

    Makhanitis

Bottle: Oh. My. Gods! Dark. Deliciously Dark. Dark burgundy. Dark wine and plum and a trickle of sandalwood running underneath. I want to crawl in this bottle right now and live there. Wet on Me: Sweet sweet love. Glory this is fabu! More plum over that dark wine. The sweet of the sandalwood mixed with the champaca. This is the deepest darkest most luxe head shop I have ever walked into. Drying Down: STILL loving this. Nose has welded itself to my wrist. I look odd walking around work this way. I am drunk with the scent of this. Dry: I am in love. Although I tend to clean crisp or herbal scents, this is simply amazing. Beth you have outdone yourself on this. I want to hug it and pet it and squeeze it and call it MINE!

This be coffee heaven! For Realz and srsly and stuph. The fiance who worships coffee and believes there is no life without it....is plotting ways to steal my bottle of the precious. Beth? Ted? Vampire Tears

Bottle: grapefruit, ginger, jasmine and the green tea Wet on Me: ginger, grapefruit, honeysuckle, tea and fabulous Drying Down: the ginger and wisteria are really trying to take everything over and the grapefruit and jasmine and green tea seem to be cowering in fear of them. Dry: aaahhhh the takeover was averted and now I get jasmine, and neroli and honeysuckle but the grapefruit went away. But this is a haunted scent. It’s haunted by something un-nameable but no less lovely.

    Smut

Bottle: Smut 08 is sweet boozy musk Wet on Me: The color is dark..the color of a booze..a sweet booze. A Man’s booze. Drying Down: This is strong but not overpowering. But it sure let’s you know its there. I get more musk now. Why do I get a total speakeasy vibe out of this. Or a slightly tipsy nooner vibe? Dry: This is still a boozy nooner and it is total love. It’s sex in the backseat after a drunken party…it’s fabulous!

    Burial

The Dark Side of Earth: deep, brooding forest scents, including juniper and patchouli. The scent of upturned cemetery loam mingling with floral offerings to the dead. Imp: Soil and pine-sol Wet on Me: Total soil and pine..but stale soil that has turned and heavy heavy pine sap Drying Down: now the patchouli begins to join the group, taking some of the piney sap notes down to a dull whisper and pushing the sour/stale soil smell away but bringing up a wood note in the mix. Dry: Wood mostly now. Pale whiffs of patchouli and the juniper. The soil took a hike and that is a good thing in this case. I like.
